What do you like best about Hyland Alfresco?
A central place for all of our editors who upload their content into ACS ( Alfresco content service). The digital content can be organized by different online publications using "Sites" in ACS. The workflows are all around the digital assets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ten years ago, Tax Analysts (TA) used Lotus Notes as their online publishing tool. As the company sought to replace the outdated technology and embrace modern innovations, Alfresco Content Services emerged as the ideal solution. We are extremely satisfied with the platform. What do you like best about Hyland Alfresco?
Highlight mainly the document management system Alfresco Content Services for its adaptability to different installation and execution environments, as well as its ability to meet customer use cases and integrations with other systems.
On the other hand, the Alfresco Governance Services add-on as a complementary module to cover the entire document lifecycle with the ADBP. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Still to attain the handling of capacity when it comes to statistics regarding the content volume and the types of contents. It has been very hard to obtain certain numbers about the amount of contents in our repository, However, we are still hopefull that the strong 4000 hylanders can make it happen. What do you like best about Hyland Alfresco?
The user interface was intuitive and simple to use. I was also happy with the ease of deployment across our team. Even though we have a small team we had some complex use cases that were able to be resolved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Documentation could have been more aligned to some of our custom use cases. We were able to find what we needed eventually but would prefer it had been better organized. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Hyland Alfresco?
The thing that I like the most about Alfresco is that it does not require any special installation, one can use it through a web browser. Document management becomes easier with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is very slow. It takes a lot of time to download files.
No clear instructions are provided for navigating

"Alfresco Process Services: Easy to use and efficient for the whole team but not for use externally"

What do you like best about Hyland Alfresco?
I think this product works best for small business or those that are just getting their feet wet with Content Services and record management software. It works well with Unix-like operating systems, and Windows. I have not tried this on Mac. You are also able to control who has access to files via a pretty robust role and permission filing sharing system so only those that truly need to see a document can have access and you are able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive infromation. The customer service representatives were really friendly and we felt supported throughout the decision making process and like we were making the right decision for our organization. This was important as we didn't want to have buy a software that may not work and then later had to switch platforms agains and slow down business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about Hyland Alfresco?
The UX of Alfresco Systems is pretty basic. The UX is also not as customizable as one would expect and feels more like a product that would have been "state of the art" in 2005 but feels slightly out of date for 2022. I wouldn't recommend this as a "front end" customer service tool but rather something that should be used on the back end by internal and operational teams. Alfresco Process Services is not able to generate public facing URLs which makes it difficult to collaborate and share information with external partners. I don't see a lot of Research adn dEvelopment going into this tool in the future which is unfortunate because I think it's one of those situations "what you buy is what you get" and don't expect the product to release major updates in the future but of course I could be very wrong about this. Recommendations to others considering Hyland Alfresco:
I would recommend this product for those looking to share files internally with other teams but not for those looking to share with those outside of their organization or via a public domain. If you are looking for a organization wide document sharing software this platofrom will likely solve your needs as a budget friendly approach. Make sure you have an IT software team in place that can help with integration and supporting early adopters and users alike with the use of this tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What problems is Hyland Alfresco solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problems my organization is solving with Alfresco Process Services include storing files with metadata and able to access previous versions of files with ease. We also used Alfresco Process Services to document workflows and share it amongst cross functional business partners. The workflow is adaptable for both small and more complex work flows making Alfresco Process Services a scalable solution. Because we are a high education institution we found that Alfresco Process Services integrates really well with software learning platform such as moodle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Hyland Alfresco?
I very much appreciate the fact that it's considerably cheaper than Microsoft Sharepoint. I also enjoy the ability that you are able to access the cntent outside the web as well as the collaborative web content. The integration across various tools and applications such as Moodle and the platform integrates well with that and while the UI is aethestically unpleasant it is easy to navigate. The cutstom APIs are also helpful which to customize. The auditing feauture is also really helpfu and the plaform is overall able to handle a large number of documents through the system which helps our team a lot especially since it doesn't take up a lot of server capacity.The 24/7 customer service options are helpful althought we haven't had the need to use it.The live on demnad training courses and webinars are tailored to vairiety of users as developers and end users. What do you dislike about Hyland Alfresco?
The interface of the platform is not user-friendly and has archaic features that are difficult to navigate. The platform doesn't have the ability to easily integrate with social networking platforms. Documentation can be challenging because as there are multiple updates to the platform (albeit a very good thing) they often don't come with the updated documentation is a timely manner. The sharper learning curve could make it difficult for those individuals within the organization that are not receptive to change or technologically savy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
