## Hygraph Reviews
  ### 1. A Flexible and Scalable Headless CMS

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sanaz B. | Sr. E-Commerce Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Hygraph is an incredibly flexible headless CMS, making it easy to manage structured content across multiple platforms. The GraphQL API is powerful and efficient, allowing seamless data retrieval without unnecessary overhead. The interface is intuitive, and the ability to define custom models and relationships makes content management highly scalable. It’s a great choice for developers and marketers alike!

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

The UX and UI could be more intuitive, especially for non-technical users like copywriters. Some aspects of the interface feel more tailored to developers, which can make content management a bit challenging for those without a technical background. A more user-friendly experience with improved navigation and editing tools would make it even better.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Shopware, which has many limitations—especially when it comes to version history and content management flexibility. Hygraph helps us overcome these issues by providing a structured and scalable content solution. Its

  ### 2. Amazing Content Management Tool!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zeynep K. | Junior Marketing Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

The new user interface is definitely more helpful and easier to use.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Hygraph still needs a tool like an SEO plugin or any suggestions for improvements, especially on the SEO side.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph helps me manage all the blog posts on our website. I can quickly log in and make edits as a business team member without the need for a software developer.

  ### 3. Greate CMS base on GQL

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michał J. | Frontend Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Hygraph is a fast and efficient tool for managing content. The platform runs smoothly and reliably, which makes content management simple for both developers and content creators. Plus, our whole team got used to it really quickly, so the transition was super easy. The API with GraphQL is exactly what I was looking for. In the future, Hygraph will definitely be my first choice when it comes to this type of solution.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Basing the API entirely on GraphQL might not suit everyone. Additionally, from what I remember, content translations were locked behind a paid plan, which could be a drawback for teams needing multilingual support.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph helps us add content to our website that we don’t want to implement directly in our system. It allows us to do this quickly while giving business users control over content editing, making the process much more efficient and flexible.

  ### 4. Perfect easy api creation for website.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexandre G. | UI/UX Designer and Frontend Developer., Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Hygraph is very easy to use for our team of web designer and content creator.

The schema build is clear, just drag and drop and config you fields !

Content creation is fluid with the generated form.

I like use API playground to test API and create request before integer this in my website.

With Hygraph, ne need to create admin interface anymore for our small project.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Maybe the enumration creation can be more userfriendly.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph allow us te create our content API liked we would and not adapt our content to an existing API.

  ### 5. Great UI, fast to comprehend and localizeable CMS

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charissa K. | Senior CMS Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

The set-up is very clear and therefore easy to understand, it is versatile in adding new content components to upgrade user experience and constantly under development with as a result helpful new functionalities.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

The different level of localizations of content needed and some hick-ups in the usage of scheduling content.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has helped us to transition to a Headless way of working which makes it possible for us to easier connect different tools/features from other vendors. Besides this we work towards SEO optimization.

  ### 6. Very good experience with GraphQL and content federation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Antonio B. | Technical Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Two things: first, content federation, and second, type inference with GraphQL.

GraphQL queries in Hygraph are easy and clear, mainly because they don't have all that typical Relay-like structure (with edges { node { ... } }) that other CMSs use. This makes writing queries simpler and more natural. They also use cursor-based pagination, and the structure remains quite clean.

Another useful thing is using something like gql.tada that automatically generates types from GraphQL queries, saving a lot of development time and reducing errors.

In our specific case, content federation is key because we have invested a lot of time in our own APIs. Being able to reuse all that directly in Hygraph, without having to synchronize data all the time, is very valuable, especially because we handle thousands of items with complicated relationships, and it's one less moving part we have to maintain.

Also, thanks to their support and sales team, who have supported us throughout the decision-making process.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Perhaps what I like the least is that it doesn't come with any advanced function for customization or content segmentation. For those specific things, you have to integrate other tools separately. But on the other hand, this keeps our architecture more modular, which from my point of view is positive, but it requires changing the mindset from looking for an "all-in-one" CMS to "let's use the best tool for each problem."

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a CMS to replace the CMS we have built over the years due to the continuous expansion of the business and the need to manage new brands and markets efficiently.

  ### 7. Best CMS with user based customization support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Geetesh M. | Team Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Easy to configure screens at hygraph with sequencing.
Easy to integrate your application with hygraph.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Haven't found any issue as of now. But will definitely post one if found any in near future.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had various employer which are offering our solutions to their employees and we have to create similar page for each employer separately.
With hygraph in picture, we are able to reuse all the components and provide employer specific customization if requested.

  ### 8. Hygraph has grown over time and become a serious contender for a dev-centric implementation

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gary C. | Online Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Hygraph offers considerable flexibility in implementation.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Implementing Hygraph is more difficult than other CMS, and less technical or content users find using Hygraph very complex and difficult.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Headless multistore and multilingual CMS via API

  ### 9. Hygraph is an excellent tool for modelling and maintaining content from multiple sources.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

The Schema builder is vey intuitive and allows content to be modelled to a precise level of detail for a variety of content types and formats. Modular components and and one-many references are especially useful.
The GraphQL-playground is really handy to setup queries and mutations.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Content editing may require a bit of a learning curve for non-technical users.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

API Onboarding
Developer Portal

  ### 10. Nextgen Content Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

One of the standouts of this platform is the flexibility it offers. Hygraph offers a very seamless headless CMS experience with effortless integration into any front-end framework. Its powerful API first design also makes it a great choice for developers since it enables them to deliver content to any channel or device in a customized manner. The user-friendly interface also makes content management a breeze for non-technical personnel, so it's a great choice for teams at any skill level.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

While Hygraph offers plenty of flexibility, the cost is a bit on the higher side for smaller projects or startups. The learning curve can also be steep for some users to set up more advanced content models right out of the gate, especially if they have not worked with headless CMS platforms before. While the platform does scale extremely well, some of the more robust features do take a bit more time to get used to.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph solves the problem of content management and delivery on different platforms and devices seamlessly. Its headless CMS approach decouples content creation from content presentation, allowing for simple content distribution on websites, mobile apps, and even IoT devices. It is particularly handy for projects that require a bespoke, consistent user experience across channels. It simplifies content management, removes the necessity for complex back-end integrations, and allows for faster deployment of updates—saving time and resources in the process. For me, it makes content updates simple and efficient, allowing developers and content teams to work better together.

  ### 11. I can finally grow my content

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tymek Bielinski _. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

No need to overpay for CMS tools that provide little value. Hygraph is great product and the makers know it. I was able to easily build a custom blog page and publish the first article in 1 day. I'm not even a technical person but the process is straightforward. Posting content is super easy.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

If you have never set up a headless CMS the implementation process requires some thinking to do it but there is enough documentation and youtube videos that will guide you. If you are completely NOT technical I would consider help of a developer for setup.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can quickly deploy a blog page for custom built websites

  ### 12. Easy to use and efficient

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David B. | Digital Ecommerce Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

I really like the ease of finding the sections to edit and publish quickly, because sometimes I'm short on time and need to upload something quickly.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

I simply don't like that it doesn't have a wide catalog of themes to incorporate, like WordPress or another type of CMS. Having themes available on Themeforest, for example, would be ideal.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

What helps me the most is having a quick look at the CMS settings because I often do a lot of testing for clients who need specific actions from the manager.

  ### 13. Hygraph has offered me a powerful and flexible way to build structured content APIs quickly

Hygraph combines data from multiple sources (like REST or GraphQL APIs) into a single schema. You get a powerful, flexible, and strongly-typed API out of the box, making it ideal for modern frontend frameworks like Next.js

Some advanced features, like content staging or granular user permissions, can be a bit tricky to configure or are limited in lower-tier plans.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph solves the problem of managing and delivering structured content across multiple channels. With its headless and API-first approach, we can easily build and scale frontends independently of the backend. This speeds up development, improves collaboration between teams, and ensures content is consistent and reusable across platforms like web, mobile, and apps

Hygraph is a Headless CMS which exposes a GraphQL API and also has integrations with numerous services.
It is really easy to build something quick on top of HyGraph.

  ### 19. Hygraph ensures my API stability

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kalpana N. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

With the Hygraph i can set up content structures independently without waiting for other content team member to update. Plus, its APIs are more stable and don’t break easily, even if someone from my team makes changes, which helps for faster progress in my project. While initial stage of my project i found it very easy to setup the initials for my project using Hygraph.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

I had switched to Hygraph from another CMS. It caused me to rework on my content models and migrate data of my existing application to use the new APIs. I find it very difficult while migrating my project to Hygraph CMS.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don’t have to deal with messy and complicated APIs anymore. By using Hygraph GraphQL API, I feel like am the driver here as I can ask for exactly the data i need, nothing extra. Plus, i can tweak it to work perfectly with my team’s workflows and system needs, making everything smoother and more efficient benefiting me in saving time and complexity, and in the meantime i work on other tasks with the time i saved.

What I like most about Hygraph is its ease of use. The interface is very intuitive, allowing even those who are not tech experts to navigate without issues. Additionally, its integration with GraphQL is exceptional, making it easy to connect with other services and customize queries.

What I like least about Hygraph are some limitations in the documentation. Although the tool is powerful, sometimes I have felt that I lack more detailed guides to make the most of all its functionalities, especially for more complex situations.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Implement multilingual content on my site.

  ### 22. Experience using Hygraph for Localization

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Hygraph is easily manipulable and being such a big name, it offers many plug-ins, features, and integrations.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

I haven't been thrilled will the customer support or the poor Smartling-Hygraph integration that has many bugs and isn't a complete option.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a great place to store content, build more, and provide localizations for said content.

  ### 23. Best CMS for daily use

Its a no coding platform pretty much integrate and plug and play.

  ### 24. Insanely good Headless CMS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marko F. | Technical Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

I don't write reviews or give praise lightly, but Hygraph is a product I fully endorse.

I've searched for a headless CMS far and wide to find a perfect match for our product/architecture.
Hygraph ticked a lot of boxes for me as a tech lead, so we started integrating Hygraph into our product.

From the get-go the developer experience was great, and all of the devs in the team love it. Once we started going live with first features via Hygraph, we instantly got a lot of love from our admin users who manage the content.

The most important points we need and get via Hygraph are:
* we wanted the Schema/Model management to be done via UI, basically a no-code solution
* we wanted good filtering options for the content (hygraph offers a lof of dynamic filtering and view setup that fits all of our users)
* we wanted the Webhook capabilities so that we can listen to content changes on the CMS (Hygraph offers just that) + a very nice webhook log which we appreciate greatly
* transparent billing

Also, the Customer Support is proactive and I got help when I needed it on a few occasions.

Anyhow, I'm very excited we found Hygraph and started using it.

To mention, we're using Hygraph for circa 2 months now.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

There is nothing I directly dislike about Hygraph. We've found a few bugs, like minor UI glitches here and there, but nothing I would deem dramatic or that would put me off.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving our CMS needs for additional content which we integrate into our SPA web application.

  ### 25. Solid

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Javier A. | Marketing Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Hygraph's interface is clean and pretty easy to navigate which is good when introducing new team members. Setting up and managing content is straightforward, and the GraphQL API makes querying data efficient. It’s a great balance between flexibility and usability.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Hygraph seems to lack built-in templates or pre-made components, so teams need front-end development experience. This can slow things down if content teams need to rely on developers for implementation. So seeing more pre-made components can improve this.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph keeps content structured and centralised, making it easier to manage across multiple platforms. Our developers can focus on our custom front-end experience while other teams can update things without worrying about breaking the system. It's essentially improving efficiency across our teams.

  ### 26. Optimizing Multi Content

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ecem Oruç K. | Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

The best thing for me about Hygraph is flexibility and comfort. Manages contents both at ease within a system as well as across multiple channels. Our Staffs meetings are trouble-free. Its api and capacity easily design this project ready from small->large alternatives and fits all long-term flexibility considering requirements changes.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Something I dont like about Hygraph is that its highest plans are limited and then tend to get ridiculously expensive as the project grows. Also while it's intuitive exploring some of the more advanced features has steep learning curves and may take a little extra time and effort to really learn and use properly.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph enjoins the administration and centralization of content across various channels. As now the smooth interoperability across all platforms makes this flexible and scalable platform a great deal for easy distribution of content. It is much easier for me to collaborate on the content workflow and scale up ease once a project becomes bigger. More over the commendable api integrations enable easy customizations making it relevant to every unique need.

  ### 27. Powerful content solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ali Eren O. | Backend Dev Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

i think one of the reasons why i enjoy this is that it can help you in a way that's suited to your needs. The platform makes it easy to integrate content across multiple channels. Im impressed with the customizable element allowing me to make content exactly how i need it.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

I dont like the fact that some of the advanced features can be purchased for higher tier plans. That would cost you as your project is scaled out. Some advanced configurations may take some time to become acquaint with.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph is an organization that does content distribution in a structured and efficient way an api makes content updates more effective by reducing the work of manual editing and potentially error(prone) writing. This saves me & us time and enhances content consistency. The flexibility allows for smoother project management. Hygraph helps me with tasks like securing new content and moving work from local hard drives.

- No need for hours spent training how to use the platform; it's incredibly intuitive for anyone within the team to pick up.
- Well priced
- Good asset bank saving ability

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

- Structurally, our "blocks" are a bit hard to navigate, but this is a case of an internal clean up from our end needed.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability for multiple users to work on optimising digital at any one time.

  ### 31. My better experience of used Hygraph

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hasan B. | Network & Sys Admin, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

In my view, this makes Hygraph's GraphQL API probably the best aspect: it allows data to be queried in a much more precise way-efficient enough for the developer to really fetch what he needs. This gives the flexibility to build web applications with better performance with features more suited to the requirement. Like the traditional CMS focusing on REST APIs, GraphQL has the added advantage of a single endpoint through which those multiple API calls can be reduced, together with some of the pain points for its integration.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

"As a result of the whole over-importance that is given to developers, which makes it really difficult for the first steps of any user, especially for content editors without any technical background, my primary dislike about Hygraph is its lack of really introducing itself into this developing world of market-ready content. Even though it is meant to be as intuitive as it appears, managing your content, creating your API, or developing complex content models may take some time for a GraphQL or Headless CMS newbie to grasp." That, by the way, is my personal dislike.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph answers many pains associated with content management and also boasts many advantages for users, such as the fact that most traditional CMS have inefficient support in managing content across numerous channels. Thus, Hygraph nowadays offers just one main central hub in which both can manage their content more widely across the different channels.

Flexibility and Customization: Unlike the rigid traditional CMS, Hygraph uses GraphQL to give an exposed and fine-grained control over data to the developer to build highly personalized, custom solutions.

  ### 32. Having a great experience using Hygraph with my team

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anastasija S. | Product Content Coordinator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Great customed support - getting answers to my requests very quickly. Ease of use is a another aspect i like - every change I make to Hygraph I can instantly see on the front-end

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

In my opinion, sometimes it could be be more intuitive

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph acts as a CMS for my company, and personally for me, it allows me to edit pages, make changes to the content in real time

  ### 33. Versatile CMS

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Furniture | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Hygraph, once familiar with, is a versatile and functional content management system that allows for a very flexible way to structure content. The support team is always very responsive and is open to feedback which is great.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

I can find that initially it takes a fair bit of getting used to in terms of navigating the platform. I find that you can almost get lost and confused in the different layers of menus/pages which makes it feel a little disorientating

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were looking for a customisable, flexible and scalable CMS that is able to handle a lot of data and variations. Also it needed to be easy enough for our team to navigate and operate at the same time.

  ### 34. My Experience Of Using Hygraph

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diptesh C. | Software Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

As per my experience Hygraph’s GraphQL API is one of its strongest points. It allows for precise and efficient data queries, letting developers fetch only the data they need. This flexibility provides better performance and a more tailored experience when building web applications. As Well as unlike traditional CMSs that rely on REST APIs, GraphQL’s single endpoint reduces the need for multiple API calls and simplifies the integration process.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

My dislikes are Hygraph is a developer-centric platform, which means that new users or content editors without a technical background might find it difficult to get started. While the interface is intuitive for content management, setting up the API and designing complex content models can require some learning, especially for users who are new to GraphQL or headless CMSs. thats what I dislike

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As I am using it for Headless CMS following are probles its solving for me. Problem- Traditional CMSs often couple content management with presentation, meaning content is tied to a specific frontend. This makes it difficult to repurpose or scale content across multiple platforms (e.g., web, mobile, IoT devices).
solution is - Hygraph operates as a headless CMS, meaning the content is managed independently of the frontend. The content is delivered via APIs (specifically, a GraphQL API), allowing it to be easily integrated with any technology stack or platform, such as websites, mobile apps, or even digital signage systems.

  ### 35. Powerful and Flexible Content Management Tool with a Graphql edge

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** kiran N. | Senior Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Multilanguage and localization support.
The ability to give granular level permissions.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Learning Curve is high, ie Some users, especially those transitioning from more traditional CMS platforms like WordPress, note that Hygraph can have a significant learning curve and the interface may initially seem a bit technical

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use GraphCMS for the entire content management for our App. The contents can be easily configured using graph cms ui.

  ### 36. Has potential but needs a lot of work

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danni Ann T. | Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

It is welcoming and it looks like a neat tool.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

The user interface is confusing and some features are buggy.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's for gamescom to set up individual store pages for games.

  ### 37. Very good experience to use this product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** RAKESH K. | Senior Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

High Performance
Easy to use
No learning curve

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Increase limit for free tear plan
student plan would be great

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Provide ui to create schema would good like other headless cms

  ### 38. No Unnecessary Backend Processing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sakhib H. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

In traditional CMSs, the backend not only stores content but also manages rendering, theming, and plugin execution, resulting in increased server loads. Hygraph distinguishes content from presentation, ensuring that backend resources are utilized solely for structured content management, rather than for rendering and processing UI logic.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

The issue is API rate limits, which can be a headache for high-traffic applications. If am running real-time AI personalization or fetching a lot of data dynamically, I need to optimize queries and implement caching to avoid hitting limits too quickly.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph’s comprehensive and up-to-date documentation greatly accelerates development timelines, particularly for new developers joining a project.

  ### 39. Easy-to-manage CMS that allows agile updates

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Being able to seamlessly change copywriting text in an accessible manner allows product managers and developers to quickly run tests and updates without having to push code to any repository. The API calls to Hygraph are fast and easily cacheable.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

A few quirks in the UI - mostly in how sometimes if the RTF field is empty, it still puts a newline as a default. Also, a default message variation should be created for any new messagekey automatically.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to let PMs do experiments without having to block them by pushing changes to a codebase. Hygraph allows me to just specify a key, give it to the relevant PM and allow them to change the text at will.

  ### 40. Building an Astro starter kit using Hygraph as the content backend

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alastair C. | Web developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

From a content perspective, Hygraph is relatively easy to learn and use for non-technical staff, especially compared to other CMSs on the market. It offers pretty much all the features you might need, including prosaic but handy integrations with platforms such as Netlify and Vercel meaning that a static site build does not have to be triggered everytime a document is updated / published. As I'm working with Astro, the new Hygraph content loader that enables you to use Hygraph data with Astro's content layer is a great addition to the developer experience. This means your front-end templating code is typesafe and can be consistent across different data sources. It also means Hygraph's API is nicely abstracted away from your front-end.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Working with GraphQL is not to everyone's liking and this certainly makes setting up more complicated queries to work with Astro's content layer a little more complicated. However, the set up is pretty much limited to your config file in Astro's content folder, allowing you to use Astro's built in methods to fetch and display your content.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph offers a fully-featured headless CMS that lets you (as a developer) easily decouple your content from the front-end, allowing for greater flexibility when it comes to your tech stack and deployment options. Away from the technical aspects of development, the authoring experience for non-technical uses is straightforward whilst offering a great deal of flexibility and powerful features / integrations.

  ### 41. Very functional and Flexible Headless

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Hygraph offers a good level of control regarding permission controls meaning we can manage and allocate specific content access controls for specific, authorized users, allows to set role specific access for content. I am also able to work on content structures without needing to wait on pending content from other members of the team.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

It did take a little getting used to and I found navigating between and in and amongst the interface sometimes confusing. But after a while you get used to it. So there is a little learning curve.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph has allowed us to accelerate the development of our website by giving multiple users control over content editing, which makes the process a lot more efficient.

  ### 42. Super-flexible data management capability of value beyond CMS use cases

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

- Flexible UI-based schema-generation
- Dynamic generation of content management UIs based on defined schemas (no hard-wiring)
- Dynamic generation of API interfaces
- Ability to limit functionality shown on UI to provide good UX for average users
- Good and fair chance to test the software
- No aggressive sales tactics
- Super-responsive support (hats off)

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

- Would like even more options to further limit functionalities exposed to content editors
- So far I have not found a way to separate system objects and fields from user-defined ones in GraphQL API

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having a way to allow non-technical users to define schemas and manage related content for different things in a user-friendly way

  ### 43. User Friendly platform for Frontend Developers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Priyanka P. | Jr Software Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

It has the feature of adjust content models without waiting on backend teams. As a frontend developer it reduces my dependencies and I could able to deliver my works with more efficiently. Really a good platfrom to experiemnent your skills by using their features. It is simple platfrom for beginner to learn and integrating your UI. Implementation is also easier.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

It does not provide template or any UI component of its own , I need to handle all this by using other templates like react.js or Vue.js .It would better if they would add some their own UI component template

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It reduces the dependencies on backend team and fasten my development process and also allow me to work more independently. The features allow me to build more responsive UI rather focusing on backenfd integration

  ### 44. Effective and adaptable Headless CMS with Great Integration Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohammad S. | Senior Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Hygraph schema flexibility and role-based access improvement are notable. The UI has became more intuitive over time, and integration with external APIs continue to be smooth

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Better tolls for real-time content preview and more detailed error logs during migration tasks would enhance the developer experience.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can store project related information as an document in structural way

  ### 45. Seamless CDN Integration for Faster Content Delivery

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Hygraph ensures that when I update content, the changes are immediately available. This is crucial for applications that require real-time updates, such as: News websites, Live event platforms, E-commerce stores with frequently changing inventory.
Since it integrates with webhooks and CDNs, there’s no waiting period, users always get the most up-to-date content.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

The automatic validation of schema changes is helpful in preventing errors, but it sometimes feels too strict. If I want to rename a field or restructure a content model, Hygraph might block the update or require workarounds that aren’t always necessary. It’s great for data integrity but can slow down development when I need more flexibility.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Hygraph, everything is API-driven. We no longer need to maintain complex custom backend logic just to manage content. This allows our developers to focus on feature development instead of CMS maintenance.

  ### 46. Using Hygraph for sometime now, and it's the best

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mandhir K. | Project Manager, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Using it for my website- and updating the changes has never been easier before. Customer support is also quick in response.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

No dislikes as such. It's a good platform to use.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Updating data on the website, easy to use. And we don't need to hire an expert because we can ourself do changes in the website.

  ### 47. Clear user flow

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Very clear and intuitive, easy to get started

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Nothing so far, it's been pretty clear but I'm also not a power user

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes managing websites clearer and gives more autonomy to team members

  ### 48. Very easy to setup, configurations and go live at no cost to start with

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sreenath T. | enterprise architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

One of the best thing is it's free for certain limit and support numerous data types

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Wysiwg editor sometime via api is hard to render

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Headless cms for static content and also app configurations

  ### 49. Best headless CMS out there, have been using it since 2019 when it was called GraphCMS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Felipe C. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

It is very easy to use with a very intuitive GraphQL API and the free layer is generous enough that a simple project can fully run on it. Their support is second-to-none and I have found they address any rare issues quickly. The fact they also have custom components that can be added to models is a major plus, and I use Hygraph on a daily basis.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Sometimes they roll out updates with breaking changes. While they allow users to stay on previous versions until they are ready to move, that makes it a bit harder occasionally to keep using the latest version, although this hasn't happened over the past 12 months, so maybe they've learned from past experiences.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph allows localisable content to be served in very prescribed ways to web projects, providing great flexibility for users while maintaining a strict unbroken design.

  ### 50. Extensive customizability options

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

It’s quite flexible, and the layout is simple to understand, even for people who aren’t super tech-savvy. Their support has been quick and helpful whenever we needed a hand. Overall, it’s been a smooth experience.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

One thing that could be better is how the interface performs when handling larger projects. We noticed it sometimes felt a bit slow or cluttered when switching between sections or editing entries. It’s not a dealbreaker, but a smoother experience would make it even easier to work with every day.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**
