## Hygraph Reviews
 ### 1. Evaluating Hygraph: A Content Author’s Usability Perspective

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dinesh s. | Content author, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Users Can compare changes across versions.

Supports draft saving.

Multiple locales can be updated simultaneously.

Each locale can be published or scheduled individually.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

No dedicated dashboard upon landing in Hygraph. A dashboard displaying recently published and scheduled entries would be helpful.

Entries table lacks dropdown filters; manual input is required. Having a filter for each column would eliminate the need for manual input.

No side-by-side preview with edit option; preview opens in the same tab. Content cannot be edited directly from the preview.

Field-level comparison is available only in English; local values cannot be compared within the same language.

Drafts cannot be created as new versions, In addition the ability to create different version for each locale would be helpful

Allowing users to rename versions would be helpful, especially for those who edit or schedule promotional content.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use a content management system to update and schedule website content across all regions globally.

 ### 2. Highly recommended website software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Hygraph is very user-friendly. I have no web design knowledge or background, yet I manage and update our site easily without any issues. It has all of the features that we require, and it's easy to navigate.
It's great for a small business like us to keep ontop of how our own site looks and performs, and to keep the key information up to date for the end user.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Occasionally, the "save and publish" function can be a bit glitchy and it takes a few attempts to save/update. Apart from that, it's a very well-functioning system.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping us to reach customers outside of our local comminuty. It's also driving them to our bookings system which is integrated into the website. As a small business (bar), it's paramount that we have a steady flow of customers who are able to plan and book a visit to us, aswell as a steady flow of spontaneous walk-ins. That balance is important to our business operations. Having a clear, up to date, well-functioning website does that job for us.

 ### 3. Blazing speed

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alejandro V. | Partner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

I had issues with loading time and it was easy to solve with Hygraph. It was a bit complicated to understand how to get the desired format but the documentation is now way more clear. I recommend it to anyone who need blazing speed, and version control on assets.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Nothing in particular. Maybe the onboarding on how to choose image format. I uploaded some . PNG with transparent background and the link generated was jpeg by default. I thought it was an issue on my code first...

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Content delivery, handling images, assets like pdf, languages. Specially for a website were we submit reports and sometimes we get feedback and need to update the file. Hygraph makes this quite easy.

 ### 4. Highly Intuitive and Powerful CMS for Everyone

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthias B. | Robotics Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Hygraph is an outstanding headless CMS solution, particularly for users without a technical background. Its interface is highly intuitive, making content creation and management straightforward. The platform excels in its seamless integration with GraphQL, providing a robust and flexible API for developers. The ability to easily connect with other services is a significant advantage, streamlining workflows and increasing productivity. Hygraph balances powerful features with user-friendliness, making it a superior choice for both technical and non-technical teams.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Pricing: The cost increases significantly as a project scales, with the free tier being suitable only for small projects.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph solves challenges for large teams by offering robust content staging. This allows for controlled publishing workflows from draft to production. Granular permissions ensure each team member has appropriate access, while version control and collaboration features streamline the content creation process.

 ### 5. Team Lead at a Fast-Growing Startup

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

The absolute best thing is the content modeling interface. As a non-developer, I can visually design the structure of our content—like a "Blog Post" has a title, author, hero image, and a set of modular blocks. It’s like building with LEGO. I don’t have to constantly bug our devs to add a new field for a "Call to Action" button; I can just do it myself in minutes. The real-time collaboration is a lifesaver. My writers and editors can be drafting and reviewing posts simultaneously without fear of overwriting each other's work. It just makes the whole content workflow smooth and predictable.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

The learning curve for the powerful features can be a bit steep. Things like "Union Types" and "Components" are incredibly powerful but explaining them to a new marketing hire who's used to a simple WordPress box to type in takes some time. Also, while the free tier is generous, the jump to the first paid plan felt significant for our bootstrapped budget. We had to be sure we were all-in before making that commitment.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're a small team that needs to punch above our weight. Hygraph lets us be incredibly agile. USe case : Launching a new marketing campaign: We built a content model for "Campaigns" that includes landing page copy, ad variants, and social media blurbs. Now, we can launch a fully integrated campaign from a single Hygraph entry, ensuring brand consistency everywhere.

 ### 6. The interface is clean, easy to navigate, and allows me to manage content.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

I really like how intuitive and flexible Hygraph is as a headless CMS. The interface is clean, easy to navigate, and allows me to manage content in multiple languages and formats without hassle. It integrates smoothly with other tools, which saves a lot of time, and the schema builder gives me full control over structuring data exactly how I need it.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

The learning curve can be a little steep at the beginning, especially for users new to headless CMS platforms. Some advanced features require more documentation or hands-on testing before they feel natural.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph helps me centralize and manage content across different projects, languages, and platforms without needing to duplicate work. Instead of maintaining separate systems for websites, apps, and digital campaigns, I can structure and deliver everything from one place. This reduces errors, speeds up publishing, and makes collaboration between designers, developers, and translators much easier. The flexibility of the headless approach also means I can scale projects quickly and adapt to new client needs without rebuilding workflows.

 ### 7. Easy Team Collaboration & Clear Structure, but Missing AI Translation

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Oliver S. | Chief of Staff, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

- Very easy to use with a team
- Clear structure
- Integrated very easily with Vercel

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

- No AI translation for other languages
-

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Making our website structure clear
- Making it easy to change things fast
- Translating into other languages

 ### 8. Still one of the best headless cms’s ive used

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve G. | Lead Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

I’ve been using hygraph for a few projects now and this is still one of the easiest content management systems I’ve used. From model creation down to editing the features allow quick deployment and updates whilst development functionality is being built.

The api is easy and fast to use and the scheduled publishing and custom components have gone down a hit. I’ve also used the remote api schemes integration and this has saved multiple integrations per site as well as any downtime due to the caching behaviours on this.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

One thing I’d like to improve on hygraph is the ability to try new features outside of paid plans. It’s hard for developers to try and test these out without having a chat with an account manager and then being tied into a limited trial. Personal time doesn’t always fit within trial windows and this is annoying

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have an agnostic front end product built in next js and react. Using hygraph in the way we do gives us amazing flexibility and due to the api coupled with graphql generation libraries a really smooth integration. We don’t have to worry about the third party cms just the code we’re building. Any updates to schemas we can just regenerate and focus on anything new

 ### 9. Great tool but sometimes feels tedious to navigate

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karel D. | Lecturer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

The documentation is excellent and the same goes for the GraphQL API and the accompanying API Playground.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

It feels tedious navigating through the "Content" section in Hygraph, for some reason I really don't like the UI. And it's not always clear when publishing an item if the child/parent items have also been published or need to be re-published. This made me lose quite a lot of time on multiple occasions.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're building an educational platform via which our students can navigate to different kinds of course materials (videos, slides, knowledge bases, ...) all in one place, for multiple courses and across multiple years.

 ### 10. Hygraph delivers great flexibility and user experience for modern content delivery.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miguel G. | Head of Information Technology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

As Head of IT, I’ve found Hygraph to be a highly effective and modern content platform. Its ease of use stands out—both developers and content editors were productive with minimal onboarding. The implementation process was fast and smooth, thanks to excellent documentation and a GraphQL-first approach.

Customer support has been consistently responsive and technically competent, resolving most issues within a day. We use Hygraph daily across multiple teams, and its features—from localization to role management and API flexibility—meet the demands of both content operations and scalable development.

Integration was seamless with our architecture and services like Vercel and TypeSense. Hygraph has become a core part of our stack, balancing flexibility, performance, and usability.

Overall: Reliable, scalable, and built with both dev and content teams in mind.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

The greatest challenge for us was directly connected with usage limits. Costs can scale sharply with API operations, content entries, and user roles. We’ve had to monitor usage closely to avoid unexpected overages—especially around content models and API limits. It’s easy to hit caps on lower-tier plans, which forces earlier-than-expected upgrades. With that said Hygraph delivers great flexibility and user experience for modern content delivery, but requires careful cost management and architecture planning to scale effectively

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph empowers both technical and non-technical teams to collaborate seamlessly through an intuitive UI and structured content modeling.
This reduces dependency on developers for everyday content updates, speeding up publishing cycles and freeing up IT resources for higher-impact work.

 ### 11. Flexible and Powerful, But Admin Panel Needs Streamlining

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vicente O. | Engineering Manager, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

I appreciate Hygraph's infrastructure that enables nimbleness and the ability to deploy code and manage different environments efficiently. The flexibility it offers is remarkable, especially with features like access control, and the ease of drafting, publishing, and deploying content. The powerful integration with Vercel enhances its functionality, making it an invaluable tool for our team. The headless CMS capability, paired with being able to code our own front end, truly empowers us to meet our business needs effectively.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

I find the admin panel to be a little convoluted and complex at times. Navigating through it, particularly when dealing with staging and other administrative tasks, can be challenging.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Hygraph's infrastructure allows nimble code deployment and environment management, offering flexibility in coding frontend as a headless CMS, and simplifying content creation, publishing, and rollback processes, significantly aiding our team.

 ### 12. Great for Personal Portfolio Website

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jiannina P. | Data Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

A friend suggested using Hygraph for my professional website to showcase my projects because it's easy to understand, get started with, and manage the content. I have been using it for about 3 years now, and it's still working great for me.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

I have nothing negative to say about the software so far.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem Hygraph solved for me was making it simple to keep my professional website up to date. I needed to showcase my projects without spending too much time on the technical side and Hygrapgh allowed me to get started quickly.

 ### 13. New startup that work day to day with Hygraph to update/change our inventory data

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Reuven E. | Security Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Do you know the feelings of asking a developer to update text that appears in the UI? Of course, everyone knows how hard to do that when it relies on someone else. With Hygrah you don't need a developer for updating data, a great solution for everyone like especially for non-technical ones. In my company, it saves us a lot of hours of work without talking about money.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

This isn't a dislike, but aiagebt could be a great feature

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No need for developers at all, also no need for any maintenance. In my company developers and technical writers and even product use Hygraph without any code touching, like sending a mail, if they need to update something they don't need an ci/cd just one click

 ### 14. Review Hygraph

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Chemicals | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

UI/UX is good.
Connection is easy and reliable.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Lacks controls and mass upload. Can't be altered to fit company specific needs.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides a cms.

**Official Response from Konstantine Beridze:**

> Hi there,

Thank you for sharing your candid feedback. We're glad the UI/UX and connection experience have worked well for you.

On the two concerns you raised, we'd like to clarify what's actually available:

Mass upload:
For assets, Hygraph's Media Library supports uploading multiple files at once directly in the UI: you can drop in a batch of files rather than uploading one at a time.
For content entries, bulk operations are available through our GraphQL API and content bulk-publish/bulk-actions. These can also be driven through the Hygraph MCP server if you want to manage content programmatically or connect it to AI tooling and other workflows. We'd love to understand exactly what you were trying to do so we can point you to the right approach.

Customization to company-specific needs:

Flexibility is core to how Hygraph is built. You can model your own content structures, up custom workflows, and integrate with other platforms using robust APIs. Whether you need to manage multiple brands, regions, or complex data relationships, we want to adapt to your needs.

One good example is our App Framework, which lets you build custom apps and integrations tailored to your specific needs. You can connect Hygraph to third-party services or build something fully custom for your workflow. If there's a specific gap your team ran into, we'd like the details so we can show you how to solve it or route it as product feedback.

Could you connect with your CSM or our support team so we can dig into the specifics with you?

 ### 15. Powerful for localized content aggregation and fast development

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrés E. | Principal Director, Platform Architecture, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

As an engineer, Hygraph shines in performance and developer ergonomics when granular API control and future integration with external systems are needed. Structured content modeling, localization, and especially content federation make a strong case when choosing a headless CMS. And the GraphQL-native architecture makes implementation a breeze.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Hygraph still has some work to do in terms of editor usability for non-technical users and enterprise readiness, when compared with some more mature competitors. But it is at a good maturing pace, so it will get there.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygaph is always the first option when managing structured content for digital products in a scalable, developer-friendly way is required, particularly if time-to-market, integration with external systems, and localization are needed.

 ### 16. Clear Overall View and Simple Navigation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Gambling & Casinos | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

The overall view is clear when creating something, such as a bonus card. It’s simple to navigate.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

The Index feature is pretty confusing to me.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph helps us keep all our content organized in one place and makes it much easier to manage and update. That saves time, reduces mistakes and makes collaboration smoother across the team.

 ### 17. A powerful and flexible headless CMS with great developer experience

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Hygraph offers an intuitive and developer-friendly interface that makes building and managing structured content extremely efficient. I particularly appreciate its GraphQL API, which allows precise data fetching and excellent performance on the front end. Schema modeling is flexible, and the role-based permissions and localization features make it a robust choice for both small projects and enterprise-level content operations.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

While Hygraph excels in many areas, initial setup can be slightly overwhelming for non-technical users due to its headless nature. Additionally, complex content models with nested relations sometimes become hard to visualize or manage at scale without sufficient documentation. More in-depth analytics or reporting capabilities built into the platform would also be a welcome enhancement.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph is helping us manage complex, structured content across multiple digital platforms without relying on monolithic CMS solutions. It solves the problem of content fragmentation by allowing us to centralize content modeling, authoring, and delivery via GraphQL APIs. This streamlines collaboration between developers and content teams, reduces time-to-market for new content-driven features, and ensures consistency across channels. Its headless approach also gives us the flexibility to adapt quickly to new frontend frameworks and distribution needs, which is a significant operational advantage.

 ### 18. Flexible, Fast, and Developer-Friendly: A CMS That Grows with You and For the Organization

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ameen A. | Senior Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

1. Efficient GraphQL API: Simplifies data fetching with precise queries, reducing over-fetching and under-fetching which helps in reducing the time
2. Clean and Intuitive UI: Easy for content teams to manage content without technical expertise which can be easily built without any much effort.
3. Developer-Friendly: Strong API-first approach with great documentation and support for modern frameworks.
4. Highly Scalable: Handles large volumes of content and traffic smoothly, ideal for enterprise needs and also for an organization to enhance the requirements for the technology
5. Flexible Content Modeling: Supports complex structures and relationships tailored to project needs. Also very keen to optimize the content and can present it in better manner.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

1. Limited Native Integrations: May require extra custom development for external tool connections.
2. Steeper Learning Curve: Not beginner-friendly, especially for those new to GraphQL or headless CMS.
3. Pricing Concerns: Can be expensive for small teams or startups.
4. Minimal No-Code Features: Non-technical users may find it hard to customize advanced workflows.
5. Performance at Scale: Occasional slowdowns with very large datasets or complex queries

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph addresses the challenge of managing and delivering structured content efficiently across multiple platforms and channels. Its headless CMS model, powered by a GraphQL API, enables seamless content distribution to websites, apps, and other digital endpoints without duplicating efforts. This flexibility benefits teams by simplifying the process of updating content across all platforms at once, saving time and ensuring consistency. For developers, the API-first approach and flexible content modeling reduce the complexity of handling complex data relationships, ultimately speeding up development and enabling us to deliver more dynamic, scalable, and personalized user experiences.

 ### 19. Simple and Streamlined

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Appu M. | Marketing Operations Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

In the content section, I can easily see a list of all published page types, and the API playground is just as straightforward as it looks.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Hygraph doesn’t offer a straightforward way to import data via Excel or CSV, and the filtering system feels off. Filters shouldn’t be the same for every property and its values.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since we publish a lot of blogs weekly, and our goals don’t align with other tools, Hygraph makes it simple for us to create blogs and manage their modules in an easy, streamlined way.

 ### 20. Marketing manager

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dean K. | Marketer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

I really like, and will continue to drive down on, how seamless it is to update content in the platform. The ability to edit, schedule, and review revisions all in one place has made content management far more efficient. It’s become a valuable tool for staying on top of updates, tracking changes, and keeping an audit trail without any hassle.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

I still believe the naming convention is difficult but I think this is due to being not an website dev and just a generalist marketer.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Website organisation and management
I manage company blogs and web copy - hygraph allows me to edit and control my work without going through a developer

 ### 21. Seamless Linking of Back Office and Website Tools

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Gambling & Casinos | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Seamless linking of business backoffice and website tools

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

im not massive technical, and the ability to find answers and learn on the spot doesn't appear to be there. I rely on others to help me.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

add promotions directly to our sites with just a tag from my backoffice

 ### 22. Review of Hygraph

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luigi D. | Co-fondatore, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

I really like hygraph as a product, is very simple to set up and to use, smooth and simple to share. Often I work on projects with other non technical people and whenever they need to handle data Hygraph has always been the easiest cms to share, anyone can catch up easily how it works

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

I would love if they could implement a Wordpress like schema, maybe optional, to handle data divided in pages/sections. When you work with someone non tech can be hard to explain data structures. I also wish they added another “mid range” payment plan, you just skip from free to 200$ a month, leaving out all that projects that are small yes but growing and maybe non monetized yet

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Setting up a backend super easy and fast and giving end users a cms

 ### 23. Best Headless CMS I ever integrated

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Geetesh M. | Team Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Multi Language suppport and parameter based page display for providing user based customization on UI

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

API caching is not there because of which we have exceeded the API call limit

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had lot of clients and had to do client based customization for our enrollment process where we had to show client logo and other details and for every change we had to write custom code and deploy it every time.
But with Hygraph in picture, all of these client specific customization can be configured at Hygraph and we had to call same Hygraph API for all the standard clients.

 ### 24. Powerful Headless CMS with Excellent Support, but Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

We've been using Hygraph as our content management system for some time now, and overall it's been a very solid choice. The interface is intuitive and user-friendly, making it easy for both developers and non-technical team members to work with content efficiently. Depending on your setup, Hygraph offers a lot of flexibility and can support quite complex content structures—which has been a big plus for our growing content operations.

Another highlight is the support: responses are fast, friendly, and usually spot-on. It’s clear that the team behind Hygraph takes customer feedback seriously.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

That said, there are occasional hiccups. Every now and then, the studio UI experiences issues that can block our work temporarily. It’s nothing catastrophic, but when it happens, it’s disruptive. Also, pricing-wise, Hygraph isn’t the cheapest option out there—especially if you’re scaling up or using many advanced features.

Bottom line: Hygraph is a great CMS if you're looking for a modern, headless approach and value strong support and flexibility. Just keep in mind that you’re paying a premium, and be prepared for the occasional studio glitch.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph helps us streamline the entire content publishing process. It allows us to quickly build and update pages—whether it's landing pages, blog articles, or other types of content—using reusable sections and a flexible content model. Even team members who don’t regularly work with CMS platforms can easily make changes without needing developer support. That ease of use has really improved our agility and helped us launch content faster across different channels.

 ### 25. More than just a headless CMS. Platform for growht!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Oto B. | Founder and host, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

We use HyGraph as CMS for our media organisation. I love that as our organisation grows and we add shows, people, and explore different concepts, we can adjust both content and entities as we move along. It is flexible, lean, and fast, and does not require backend changes, upgrades, or any other technical fuss. The API playground is also extremely useful when integrating the system with the rest of our stack. The freemium tier also allows us to do a lot, and that is helpful and enables us to explore and integrate the product before we need to scale up our engagement further.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

UI can sometimes feel sluggish, and I would love that the content would be a bit more in focus or exposed than the editing of entities and models.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use HyGraph as our headless CMS. We are media organisation. So we store things such as episodes, guests, staff, sponsors, shows etc...

 ### 26. Speed for a professional, clean result

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

In just a few minutes, I managed to create the required trade fair design for Gamescom. The result was clean and consistent with the identity of the trade fair. Our information clearly visible and tidy. The behind the scenes? An easy and comprehensible interface right from the start - child's play! Kudos to the creators ;)

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

I don't think I have anything negative, on the contrary, positive experience with a easy integration!

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Promotional page of the trade fair stand and exhibited products produced quickly and professionally

 ### 27. Easy to use & flexible CMS

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tate T. | Marketing Operations Lead, Growth & AI, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

What I particularly appreciate is Hygraph's approach to structured content modeling, it allows us to think future-proof and create reusable content pieces that scale well as we grow. The documentation is solid, and support has been responsive whenever we’ve needed help.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

One area of improvement could be around more advanced native workflows or approval processes for editorial teams, but overall, Hygraph has allowed us to move faster and manage complex content relationships with ease.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work in the real estate and property development industry so we deal with a large amount of constantly changing property data, listings, images, agent profiles, neighborhood content, and more. All of which need to be presented consistently across our website, mobile apps, and internal tools. Traditional CMS platforms made this difficult, especially when trying to reuse content across different channels or maintain complex relationships between properties, agents, and locations.

 ### 28. Powered Content with Hygraph

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ahmet Hamdi T. | DevOPS Admin, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

What I like most about Hygraph is its scalability and flexibility as a headless CMS. It allows developers to create custom content models and integrate them across various channels without any problem, all the while offering a user-friendly interface to the authors. Hygraph's ability to handle complex content workflows and being an API-first solution makes it an ideal solution for modern, multi-channel apps.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

One potential downside of Hygraph is its pricing plan, which might be slightly on the higher side of the range for small projects or startups with tight budgets. Secondarily, while its flexibility is one of its strongest points, the setup and configuration process is not always straightforward to get through for first-time users of headless CMS systems. Some users might find the learning curve slightly higher than with more traditional CMS systems.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph solves the problem of rigid, monolithic CMS systems through a headless solution that is scalable and flexible. It offers developers the power to build custom content models and publish content across devices and platforms through APIs. It is ideal for teams working on complex, multi-channel projects because it simplifies managing the content and offers seamless integration. For me, Hygraph's flexibility and API-first nature simplify workflows, reduce repetitive updates to the content, and facilitate easier scaling when projects grow.

 ### 29. Hygraph Makes Content Management Effortless and Scalable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Niko B. | Head of Observability, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

What I like best about Hygraph is its powerful combination of flexibility and usability. The schema modeling is intuitive yet incredibly robust, making it easy to design complex content structures without unnecessary overhead. The GraphQL API is fast and reliable, and the developer experience is top-notch. I also appreciate how well it handles localization and content workflows—perfect for projects with multiple stakeholders and markets. Plus, the UI is clean and user-friendly, which helps editors feel confident managing content on their own.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

While Hygraph is an excellent platform, there are a few areas with room for improvement. Occasionally, the UI can feel a bit rigid when working with large volumes of content or complex nested references—it would be great to see more advanced filtering or bulk editing options. Also, while the documentation is generally strong, some deeper use cases (especially around roles/permissions or custom workflows) could benefit from more detailed examples. That said, the support team is responsive, and the product evolves quickly, so these are minor trade-offs in an otherwise outstanding experience.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph is solving the challenge of managing and delivering structured content across multiple platforms and channels from a single source of truth. In the past, we struggled with tightly coupled CMS systems that made it hard to reuse content or scale across web, mobile, and other platforms. With Hygraph’s headless architecture and powerful GraphQL API, we can now model content exactly how we need it, keep everything consistent, and serve it wherever it’s needed—fast.

 ### 30. Powerful but User-Friendly

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Hygraph makes it easy to create content from schemas that aren't so simple, yet necessarily faithful tot he underlying business domain we work with.

I like the automatic creation of collections in the GQL schema which make anything a searchable quantity, and the web editor UI is fast and responsive so I can do everything from data entry to schema implementation wherever I need.

As a daily user of Hygraph, I respect that the company respects my time and doesn't make me jump through hoops to get the most common tasks done. The search is fast and good, the usage limits are fair, and the error messages are helpful.

In comparison to similar services like Contentful, I prefer my time using Hygraph both as a content author and a technical integrator.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

It would be great if Hygraph had a first-party integration with Astro.js that preconfigured some sensible defaults according to what the Hygraph technical team would advocate for -- such as caching settings, error handling/retries etc.

Also the migration from the extant version of the Web UI to the new Hygraph Studio could have been smoother.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph allows me to relationally link content across different campaigns and re-use content where possible instead of duplicating.

Hygraph provides a user-friendly interface for managing content that doesn't require our non-technical team to be setup with git repos etc for contributing to our web UIs.

 ### 31. Solid CMS even non-technical teams can crack!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Hygraph has been a game-changer for our small team - the API is super fast, and setting up content models was relatively easy and clear. our dev team loves how well it fits into our workflow and especially the fact our non technical team was able to be onboarded and remove a huge bottleneck and dependency we had with the engineering team

it’s a solid, modern CMS that scales well

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

learning curve for non-tech users, took a minute but worth it

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

managing content across channels and making it scalable

 ### 32. Flexible CMS solution with useful features!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom K. | Principal Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

As a software architect, I appreciate the flexibility of the solution and the company's support in implementation. New insights and experiences regularly come from the community, which inspire one during implementation. The entire role concept for administration is impressive. As a company with almost 50 active accounts, we are doing very well with the solution. My tip: Seek the company's help right from the start, a solutions architect can work wonders during implementation.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

The extensions in the form of apps should also be manageable through a project and not just by a user. This prevents apps from being lost in the application lifecycle. (We had this problem and were able to solve it within 24 hours with the help of the HyGraph team.)

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use HyGraph to manage a complex website with millions of customers. In doing so, we have different brands, countries, and languages. We use the CMS up to the latest AI Extension and are thrilled with it. The support from the HyGraph team is particularly noteworthy here. Here, the customer is king.

 ### 33. Compact and Simple

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

how adaptable it is. Changing things is very easy.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

index organization. Organizing lists takes time and effort.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing my portfolio

 ### 35. Easy to set up

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Hygraph has enabled me to approach site development in a way that separates my content and tech development. It has been incredibly easy to set up a schema and immediately start saving content. It also offers capabilities that I can expand upon as my needs grow.

Once I started integrating the content with my backend, it "just worked", which is always nice.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

My only real complaint is that, given that I don't fully use all of the features of Hygraph, I wonder if there's a way for the application to help me understand the capabilities better to help me take advantage all that the software has to offer.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the problem of separating content from implementation. I like how it also solves the problem of handling assets like images related to the content.

Note: I noted "6" for security because I actually haven't thought much about it even though it's an important part of my work. I do know the api requires a token, which is good enough for me at the moment.

 ### 36. I worked with the tool for the first time when creating my project portfolio.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcio D. | Gestor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Ease of implementation, simple structure for data requests.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

So far I haven't encountered any difficulties that would make me classify it as something I didn't like.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed a simple and easy to implement cms for my portfolio and Hygraph was the perfect fit.

 ### 37. Good tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gianluca M. | Full stack engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

It is quite intuitive and powerful in its usage, in particular in the data structuring, query language and data management

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

There are some limitations in terms of UI

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data management of our real estate agents and agencies (registry data and assets), covered location but even articles and guides

 ### 38. A Powerful and Flexible CMS, but With a Bit of a Learning Curve

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kieran S. | Administrative Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Hygraph makes managing content really easy, especially with its flexible setup and GraphQL API. The interface is clean and intuitive, and I love how you can customize content structures to fit exactly what you need. Plus, it integrates well with other tools, which is a huge bonus.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

It takes a little time to get used to, especially if you're new to GraphQL or structured content models. The pricing can feel a bit steep for smaller projects, and some of the more advanced features are locked behind higher-tier plans. Customer support is generally good, but response times can be a bit inconsistent.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph helps streamline content management by making it easy to structure and deliver content efficiently across different platforms. The GraphQL API significantly speeds up data retrieval, making it a great tool for projects that require fast, dynamic content updates. The flexibility of the content modeling system allows for better organization and scalability, reducing the time spent on manual content structuring.

 ### 39. User-Friendly Design, Easy Integration, and a good generous plan

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

User friendly design, easy integration and generous plan

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

It would be really nice to not just have GraphQL API, but of course REST APIs as not all backend services want to use Graph QL.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No need for a database for content management, easy set up and handover for non-technical individuals. Very fast set up.

 ### 40. Clean, efficient and reliable

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brant M. | Co-founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

We've used it almost daily for 4 years to store data that multiple users can access. It's consistent and easy to navigate, with a clean interface that makes training new users hassle-free. Customer support is prompt and professional. It integrates with Clickup and other systems.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

It sometimes feels like it can only be modified/customized by a more savvy-level person, like a software developer. It's not ideal for an entry-level user to make modifications in the system or add integrations.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storing online content to be accessed by web users.

 ### 41. Several limitations for content creation

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Things were easy to understand and it was easy to do the basics.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

I was using a lot the blog post features, and there were several limitations regarding types of titles, bolds, and in general,l how to make things like I wanted to.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organize info for updating venues information without needed a developer, and uploading blog posts. Updating some simple things from teh website. However, I think curretnly you find solutions that allow to do it with even less complexity and more flexibility.

 ### 42. Powerful and Flexible headless CMS, easy to integrate and manage in a way we want.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ishtiyaque A. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

It is now supporting remote mutation which I think is the coolest feature, meaning you can not only query external APIs but also write to them all via the Hygraph GraphQL endpoint.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Hygraph is focused towards GraphQl, while it is great for flexibility for user , however it would be better if it could also support the Rest Endpoint which legacy system can use.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It decouples the frontend and backend, which helps user to manage large amount of data using API.
It benefits the user to create content once and use it on different channels such as web , mobile and other social media channels.

 ### 43. Keeping track of my microblogs has never been easier

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emanuele R. | Junior Web Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Documentation-wise (especially the API reference) it has improved a lot since docs weren't that clear before. Customer service has also improved a lot too.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Usage limits are something to watch out for when working with the API. The UI can also become clunky at times.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me it's solving the problem of overbloated websites that other CMS cause (such as wordpress) and also managing multiple microblogs without any downtimes

 ### 44. A powerful, developer friendly, great looking CMS

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew W. | Head of Technology, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Overall, I have been very impressed and very happy with using HyGraph. The UI is simple and clean, yet the product is very configurable and supports some very poweful functionality. Being able to add components to the content schema is a game changer.

We have been able to implement live preview and staging content delivery very easily. Hygraph has also connected very easily to our frontend modules allowing for easy integration.

During our time with Hygraph, the support we have received has been very friendly and super helpful.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

I think that HyGraph needs to strike a happy balance between targetting development teams and mareting teams. There are probably parts of HyGraph which could seem a bit too developer focused. There are some small UI changes I would like to see implemented.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are wanting a headles CMS that will connect to our ecommerce platform Commercetools which will allow us to power multiple branded websites in multiple locales. We want a very configurable platform that will allow us to build our content models as we require. We also need to power perosnalisation and A/B experiements,

 ### 45. Great for CMS

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miguel M. | Country manager IE & PT, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

From KoRo's (the company I work at) perspective I like that we have several things in one place that we had to go do on separate programs before. I work as a translator, copywriter and sometimes content creator and I like that we can both add new content or take content to translate easily. Especially for the translations to be able to have one language right below the german original is super helpful.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Its not the easiest to use at first, especially for copywriting.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As mentioned before, ease of translation, our previous software was pretty complicated and caused us a lot of problems in the past. We still have to use it for parts of the website but will hopefully be able to switch everything to hygraph.

 ### 46. Fine grained permissions

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kadirr H. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Hygraph offers detailed permission controls, allows to set role specific access for content. This means only authorized users can view, edit, or manage content based on their roles, reducing security risks and ensuring content stays protected and well managed.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Hygraph is a headless CMS, meaning it only delivers structured content via API and does not handle website rendering. The least helpful aspect is that users need to build their own frontend, as it doesn’t provide ready-made templates. A downside of Hygraph is that its setup can be slower compared to other CMS platforms, which come with built-in templates for easy content creation.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Previously, content updates required manual tagging, categorization, and adjustments for different platforms. With Hygraph’s AI models, content can now be automatically tagged and distributed across multiple channels such as web and social media without the need for constant manual effort.

 ### 47. It saved us days of developing a backend

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan S. | Chief Growth Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

With Hygraph, we can create content APIs and complex data structures in no time, with drag-and-drop ease. The information on our online course landing pages is almost entirely delivered by Hygraph.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

The GraphQL API playground area is a bit complex and confusing for non-technical users.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it to support the content deliverability to our online courses landing pages on deploy... With Hygraph, our company's teaching staff can register courses information directly into the system, without having to handoff content to the technical area.

 ### 48. High bar when it comes to UX and performance

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emil K. | Senior Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

The Hobby free forever plan makes this CMS accessible to anyone. This also enables businesses to try before they buy by creating a simple proof of concept to validate going ahead with the purchase.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

The documentation could improve further and provide simple starter applications that users can build upon.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph is opening the doors to future opportunities as they add more integrations to their Market Place.

 ### 49. Easy to use and friendly interface

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Easy to use. As a content creator and a developer the platform enables all functions to be easily implemented.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Unfortunately the style when creating a content has a limited options to style it for a content creator. You need to be developer to give the style from custom css and this makes it a bit of a hard way of working with a team of different backgrounds

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy to give access to team collegues.

 ### 50. For a beginner, it's a breeze

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

I have been tasked with editing and translating content, so I'm not actively generating the sections or such. Still, from the get-go, starting with Hygraph was super easy. Without any programming or more technical experience or background, it's very easy to use it and to find the right tools and features necessary for the tasks I have to implement. It's very easy to use, no matter who in our team needed to be involved for the different stages.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

I can't think of anything negative – it did exactly what we needed it to do.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows for the creation and replication of the content in a variety of languages, ensuring that the same format is presented for all parts.
