As an HR Consultant working with a variety of companies, I have been using Humi by Employment Hero and have found it to be very user-friendly. The platform allows me to switch between different accounts quickly, and I appreciate having access to various modules that can be tailored to each company's specific needs. As mentioned, there are some odd quirks with their UI. The search filters hid our terminated employees from us for a really long time. I worked with a payroll specialist who said they also struggled with it at first. It's a small quirk, and once you know where it is, it's an easy fix, it's just not intuitive at first.

I also don't like that they don't have data processing in their reports, I have to download the reports as a CSV then process data in Excel. For example, when we report insurable earnings to WSIB, I go to the WSIB report, but I can't extract a total from the web report. Instead, I download the CSV, then calculate the total insurable earnings for WSIB eligible employees. It's small, but it changes a 1 minute task to a 5 minute task. We were previously using a US based HRIS system, and since we are based in Ontario, Canada we wanted something more 'local'. Humi is relatively user friendly, and so far the transition has been pretty smooth. We use core HR every days, and then are currently working to set up the Performance Modules as well as Recruiting. Humi is less intuitive than our previous HRIS system, however, I know that they are always working to improve the system as well as they do take the feedback of their users pretty seriously. Our company moved from BambooHR, on the employee side of things it is pretty similar - the app is not as intensive but allows for function of time-off requests. It has been a seamless integration since we launched 2 days ago so far employees seem already adapted pretty well, the onboarding process was seamless and easy. There is a lot of work still to do on the admin side, it was a lot of manual work to integrate employee profile information that wasnt basic info (name, email, etc.). We have spent a lot of time and resources that could have been used elsewhere to input data. The thing I appreciate the most about Humi is that it is a Canadian-based company. When I have questions about how to run payroll in Canada, they are usually able to answer them with the specifics of the Canadian system.

I also appreciate the flexibility of plans based on the size of my business. I have a very small business with unique payment structure but Humi was able to accommodate my needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are two things that I struggle with about Humi. First, when the payroll processing date falls on a long weekend (Monday for a Friday payday), they move the payroll processing date to the previous Friday. This means that we have to process payroll before the payroll period is over.
