## About Healthchecks
Healthchecks.io is a service for monitoring cron jobs and similar periodic processes: \* Healthchecks.io listens for HTTP requests and email messages ("pings") from your cron jobs and scheduled tasks. \* It keeps silent as long as pings arrive on time. \* It alerts you via email, SMS, Slack, etc. as soon as a ping does not arrive on time. Healthchecks.io works as a dead man's switch for processes that need to run continuously or on a regular, known schedule. For example: \* filesystem backups, database backups \* task queues \* database replication status \* report generation scripts \* periodic data import and sync jobs \* periodic antivirus scans \* DDNS updater scripts \* SSL renewal scripts

**What do you like best about Healthchecks?**

It is very simple to setup and get going. The UI is clean and makes it very easy to monitor services.

**What do you dislike about Healthchecks?**

Its a great tool, nothing that i dislike about healthchecks

**What problems is Healthchecks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Healthchecks help us solve the monitoring of the uptime of the crons and is super easy to configure.
We integrate it with spike.sh to get instant notifications and alerts.

Simple configuration, many alerting integrations.

**What do you dislike about Healthchecks?**

I really don't have anything that I dislike about healthchecks.io

**Recommendations to others considering Healthchecks:**

Just configure and drop into the code before/after the execution of the task.
And you will be notified on various channels you configure.
You can add the all the stakeholders to the mailing list, or even add it your alerts channel on slack.
Lot better than maintaining the last run date yourself in databases.
It is reliable and has never given me an opportunity to complaint.

Monitoring scheduled jobs invocation.
