For ops teams, it usually is, because it is the most established and flexible option, generating from buttons, flows, or Apex into Word, PDF, Excel, and more, with an admin-friendly setup and reusable templates that scale across departments.
The trade-offs are worth naming. Reviewers point to a template learning curve, a lingering mix of old and new interfaces, and a price that sits above lighter native tools like S-Docs. If your team generates high volume across many document types and will reuse templates broadly, it earns its place; if your needs are simple and Salesforce-contained, a leaner native tool may cover them for less.
