# Is Conga Composer worth it for operations teams generating documents in Salesforce?

Hey G2, I've been weighing whether Conga Composer is worth it for operations teams generating documents in the Salesforce CRM Document Generation category. For ops teams, it usually is, because it is the most established and flexible option, generating from buttons, flows, or Apex into Word, PDF, Excel, and more, with an admin-friendly setup and reusable templates that scale across departments.

The trade-offs are worth naming. Reviewers point to a template learning curve, a lingering mix of old and new interfaces, and a price that sits above lighter native tools like S-Docs. If your team generates high volume across many document types and will reuse templates broadly, it earns its place; if your needs are simple and Salesforce-contained, a leaner native tool may cover them for less.

Conga Composer feels like one of those tools where the ROI probably improves with repetition. Building a complex template may take time upfront, but if ops generates that same document hundreds of times, the setup cost gets spread pretty quickly. I’d be less convinced for teams constantly creating one-off documents.
