What do you like best about HashiCorp Services?

Support is reasonable; they have a lot of terraform modules you can utilize. With a large community fanbase, bugs are also fixed relatively quickly. And good use of communication to create effective collaboration among engineers and coders. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HashiCorp Services?

Not all providers have up-to-date attributes that can be used to build resources. Found there were more limitations on the Azure side. Now this might just be an Azure API limitation too. But, for building resources on the Azure side, things can be much slower than AWS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering HashiCorp Services:

Suppose you want to use of infrastructure as code or policy as code. Then HashiCorp tools will significantly benefit you, your team and your organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is HashiCorp Services solving and how is that benefiting you?

We were able to automate all of our infrastructure as code, store it in a repo and have the ability to spin up and destroy cloud environments very quickly and efficiently. It's allowed us to quickly scale resources and build out dev/nonprod/prod environments. And maintain our code with services such as Github and Gitlab. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about HashiCorp Services?

The fact that the opensource versions of their products are full products. They have found that fine line that allows one to have a viable business model without compromising by cutting down the features of their opensource product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HashiCorp Services?

The fact that I need to purchase a separate license for the VMware vagrant plugin. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering HashiCorp Services:

You should consider HashiCorp if your budget allows. I have no doubt that you can build something similar to TFE with a local Jenkins installation that executes terraform for example, but it will be a heavily custom solution, not easily transferrable to new projects and basically you'll need to support it on your own. Deploying Infrastructure as Code and making it immutable at a higher level. Usually people talk about immutable images, but here we can talk about immutable VPCs Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
