There are so many different note-taking AI apps tools. Whatever you want to call them out there. The first one that showed up originally was read.ai and I thought it was just absolute trash. Someone had suggested granola which works very well with MS Teams which is what we use and I was a little hesitant to try another one, but it does a really good job of note-taking for our meetings and it doesn't show up as a user in the meeting which helps with everyone being natural throughout the meeting. And also ties with other AI agents like anthropics sonnet to refine the meeting notes. However, I would like them. I can create skills for specific ways. The mobile app does not work quite the same as the desktop app, especially since it does not record the other side of a call for Android users while using Bluetooth headsets. But this is the same for any voice recording application Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

While Granola is a powerful assistant, fast-paced and overlapping conversations can occasionally lead to blind spots or minor inaccuracies in the notes. When a call moves quickly with multiple participants talking over each other or rapidly shifting topics, it can sometimes be difficult for the AI to parse exact context, attribute specific comments to the right speaker, or catch subtle nuances. I think it could use a bigger knowledge base and focus more on unique voice types and dialects that are harder to transcribe. On the integrations front, it exports smoothly to Notion and Slack, but I’d love to see more native options—especially two-way sync—for a wider range of enterprise CRMs or task-management tools. On the AI/intelligence side, it handles standard discussions brilliantly, yet it can occasionally stumble when conversations include heavy technical jargon, lots of acronyms, or fast-paced multi-speaker overlap. In those cases, I usually need to do a quick manual pass to clean up the AI-enhanced gray text. Lastly, because it operates locally at the system level for audio capture, the initial onboarding and permission setup (for example, granting screen and audio recording access on macOS) can sometimes trip up less technical users. I like that it works behind the scenes without showing as a participant in meetings and also works on your phone. Everyone knows meetings are being transcribed now, there is no need to take up a box on the screen. We'd rather see each other's faces. This saves me a lot of time writing meeting follow up emails to the team and lets me stay in the meeting instead of trying to write notes, which takes me out of the conversation.
