## Google Cloud APIs Reviews

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Google Cloud APIs?**

I like how Google Cloud APIs are transparent about costs, offering tons of options inside their plans and solutions. It's great that I can stop them anytime. I find the initial setup very easy.

**What do you dislike about Google Cloud APIs?**

It has a library big enough to get lost in it. Many popular APIs share names so you can get confused if you don't know what you want

**What problems is Google Cloud APIs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Google Cloud APIs to develop software that utilizes Google's services like Maps, Places, and AI tools, acting as a connection point.

**What do you dislike about Google Cloud APIs?**

Nothing I can think of , maybe the pricing could be lower . It can always be lower

**What problems is Google Cloud APIs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Google workspace we use for email and google sheets. Emails are not a big deal, we could get the same thing with any other provider like office 365 , however sheets is very powerful and lets us share documents with each other.

Google Cloud is what standa out, so many APIs - i used it for automating text extraction from scanned documents and pictures using the Vision API's OCR service. This saves significant manual effort and speeds up workflows that involve document processing.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pascual G. | IT Project Manager at Maxia Latam, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Google Cloud APIs?**

One of the biggest advantages of Google Cloud APIs is that we can incorporate dozens of features and services that Google has developed directly into our applications. Even many of them do not require that we are using Google's cloud computing.
Some of the most used APIs in mobile applications are the ones we know to locate a location, such as the Maps suite, but there are also others such as Firebase for storage and that work on demand and for Google infrastructure clients.
Enabling a service is very simple, and we generally do it with a single click and if we are duly registered we can start making calls from our applications and Google will charge only on demand and when we have exceeded the free quota described in some services.

**What do you dislike about Google Cloud APIs?**

Activating a Google API is really very simple, and as we know, no additional costs are generated, but while we are using the services we have configured, we will be able to see how our monthly billing grows. Normally Google's costs are really low, but it is important to monitor how much money Google bills us per day, especially when we are starting a new development or application, since sometimes by mistake of our programmers in configuring the use of services, the costs have skyrocketed significantly.
There is a lot of documentation for the use of the multiple APIs that are available, but we will always need experienced and well-prepared developers to use the available services and functionalities.

**What problems is Google Cloud APIs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have used Google Cloud APIs for mobile applications that require geo-positioning systems, in addition to other related services. On the other hand, we have used the Firebase API for storage within the Google cloud.

**What do you dislike about Google Cloud APIs?**

Connecting other API's is somewhat tricky, and their interface isn't super user friendly in terms of all the menu's, sub-menu's, etc.

**What problems is Google Cloud APIs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Was able to set up a reporting dashboard on Looker studio, along with using their Map/Geo location API for use within a website dev project.

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2018

**What do you like best about Google Cloud APIs?**

Like Google's other products, APIs are robust, versatile enough to cater your need. I have used Google APIs in my last job for three years and was impressed with the way APIs were maturing, covering more and more areas of functionalities. Key takeaways:

3. Easy to use
4. Ability to integrate for analytics
5. Reasonable pricing tiers
6. Great technical support

Not a major issue but initial setup was little difficult. Lack of SSO was also an issue generated overhead in maintaining user access, privileges and product access eligibility. Integration with other google products (specially, analytics) was little issues during setup.
Having said all above, Google APIs can easily beat your expectation and you will soon realize the benefit of using APIs

  ### 14. A great way to manage APIs/services for multiple clients

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2018

**What do you like best about Google Cloud APIs?**

Google Cloud APIs allows for multiple integrations, but navigating between each remains simple. We can provide our clients with the integrations they desire without too much of a headache for us.

**What do you dislike about Google Cloud APIs?**

It can sometimes be hard to tell exactly what we have set up for each client. The UI could be made a little bit clearer.

Billing can't be easily divided between multiple clients. We have clients exceeding their requests and using credits that belong to other clients, etc. This likely will result in us having to move the highly active clients to their own accounts, which contradicts the ease of managing in one place.

**Recommendations to others considering Google Cloud APIs:**

Ensure you have the billing for each client figured out, depending on which integrations they want to use.

**What problems is Google Cloud APIs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can provide desired integrations to our clients, like mapping and geocoding.
