"Gong Makes Customer Conversations Easy to Review and Turn into Actionable Insights"
5/5
What do you like best about Gong?

Gong makes it much easier to understand customer conversations and identify actionable insights. I especially like how it helps me quickly review calls, understand customer pain points, and spot patterns without having to manually go through every conversation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gong?

The amount of information available can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when reviewing multiple calls. It would be helpful to have more streamlined ways to surface the most relevant insights and quickly identify key takeaways without having to go through too much detail. "Very reliable call records, but AI insights don’t translate into action"
5/5
What do you like best about Gong?

It gives me a very reliable record of conversations. The AI was useful for analysing multiple customer calls and quickly identifying recurring pain points and objections, spotting patterns that would have been difficult to find by reviewing each call individually. The conversation summaries are good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gong?

I’d love to see better root-cause analysis to understand why deals stall or are lost, and stronger cross-call trend analysis to identify recurring customer pain points, objections, and buying signals. The biggest gap is turning insights into execution: it’s still hard to translate conversation intelligence into actionable next steps like updating CRM fields, improving messaging, or triggering the right follow-up workflows. I only somewhat trust the AI, and I’m not very confident about data handling and controls. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Mostly reliable call records and helpful AI next steps, but limited trust in AI"
5/5
What do you like best about Gong?

I like that Gong is mostly reliable at capturing a record of conversations, and the call analysis, conversation intelligence, and actionable insights are strong for me. One specific moment the AI helped was after a back to back day of meetings, when Gong auto pulled the next steps and follow-up tasks from the transcripts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gong?

I don’t fully trust the AI capabilities. The AI-generated outputs aren’t always accurate or consistent, and I’m not very confident that my data is handled responsibly. Controls and explanations around why the AI produced a result feel only so-so, and it’s not always clear when it’s AI vs. rules-based logic or a human. Deal visibility and acting on coaching insights also feel only somewhat/sometimes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Strong conversation capture and deal visibility, but AI and sequencing feel limited"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Gong?

I like that Gong goes beyond being a passive call recorder and becomes an active revenue execution platform by turning conversational insights into deal momentum. It consistently joins scheduled video calls, syncs audio, and captures and archives conversations well, with high-accuracy transcripts for standard English business dialogue. Auto-generated tasks help make sure verbal commitments and agreed next steps don’t slip through the cracks, and email tracking plus multi-channel outreach let reps engage key stakeholders at the right time with full context, reducing workflow friction and avoiding the need for a separate sales engagement tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gong?

Gong’s voice features still run into occasional transcription errors, especially with heavy accents or cross-talk, and there’s also some dialer latency. The pipeline management view can feel visually cluttered, and the algorithmic health scores often misinterpret nuanced, offline deal dynamics and can flag false alarms on slow-moving accounts where work happens offline. Campaign management feels rigid compared with dedicated sequencing tools, lacking advanced branching logic, granular cadence triggers, and deeper multichannel personalization. We also skip calendar management and workflow automation/performance tracking because they feel redundant or too rigid versus dedicated tools, without the granular conditional logic, custom triggers, or deep, bi-directional CRM sync we need. "Useful call metrics and recaps, but transcripts can be off and other tools do it better"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Gong?

I like that Gong lets our business take in metrics and find areas we can improve on, whether that’s assessing the call or seeing customer satisfaction. I’ve also been able to use the meeting recaps that pull key moments from the call to follow up quickly with the customer. The activity timeline has seemed to give the team a real focus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gong?

We receive this from several other platforms at the same time and I believe others do it just a little better. It’s mostly reliable, but when you read back some of the conversations the transcript is a little off. I also haven’t really dived into sentiment analysis yet, and we haven’t used the coaching features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Very reliable transcripts, but the AI struggles and lacks clear controls"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Gong?

The transcript is very reliable and tends to miss very little. I also use the coaching materials, playbook creation, and email tracking/automation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gong?

The AI fails every time I ask it to pull an email address from a transcript. It just can’t extract the email from the transcript. The AI outputs aren’t very accurate or consistent, and I’m not very confident my data is handled responsibly. It doesn’t give clear controls over what data the AI can access, and it doesn’t explain well why it produced a specific result. Deal visibility is usually hard to see if you’re not using only Gong, and conversation insights can be not correct if the prompt is not well done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Gong - Simple and effective for outbound sales"
4/5
What do you like best about Gong?

What I like most about Gong is how simple it makes it to manage and review outbound calls. Being able to schedule calls, place them directly through the platform, and revisit past conversations is genuinely useful. The call recordings and transcripts are especially helpful when I need to recall what was discussed, capture key details, or refine my approach for future calls. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gong?

The interface can feel a bit busy at first, and tracking down specific features sometimes takes a few extra clicks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable call recordings and speech-to-text summaries, but AI and integrations can be inconsistent"
5/5
What do you like best about Gong?

I use call recordings as the source of truth for customer requirements. It lets me fully focus on the call because I can always fall back on the recording instead of trying to write everything down myself. When I review recordings, I don’t have to watch the entire video just to find what I need. Speech-to-text and the AI-generated summaries help me quickly understand key discussion points, customer concerns, and follow-up items. Overall it’s been very reliable and gives a summary of the recording very well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gong?

The AI capabilities are strong overall, but the recommendations and insights can feel inconsistent, so I still manually validate certain AI-generated insights before relying on them for more important decisions. Keeping CRM information accurate and up to date can still take extra manual effort, and sometimes what gets captured or synchronized isn’t as complete as I would expect. Integrations can also be more complicated than expected to set up, and when synchronization issues come up, troubleshooting can take a fair amount of effort. "Nearly real-time call insights and easy sharing, but transcription can lag"
5/5
What do you like best about Gong?

It provides nearly real-time insights into calls. Having the ability to easily review topics by tag, and share calls with my leadership is invaluable. It’s very reliable and genuinely captures customer sentiments well. The call summary and deals at risk emails have been supremely helpful to stay apprised of all open deals and what risks might have surfaced in calls. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gong?

Sometimes the call transcription and analysis occurs up to an hour post call, which at the end of my day, I'd like to ensure they go out before the following day. Also, I wasn’t aware of some features as current features, so I haven’t used them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Gong Makes Sales Easier, but Could Be More User-Friendly"
4/5
What do you like best about Gong?

I like using Gong for sales trend analysis, live pipeline management, and the calendar. The CRM integration is useful, and it gives me a mostly reliable record of conversations. Deal visibility improved a little, and conversation insights are something managers or reps act on sometimes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gong?

The dashboards can sometimes feel a bit cluttered, and it takes time to find the exact information I’m looking for. The CRM integration can have syncing issues or missing details, so I end up double-checking things manually. Sales reports could be more flexible and easier to customize when I’m trying to get specific insights without spending too much time filtering data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
