A brilliant solution to deliver emails from MS Purview in PDF format for FOIA/records requests. **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026 **What do you like best about GoldFynch?** This was an immediate solution to a long term issue of converting PSTs to PDFs for our Local Government Entity to process eDiscovery results from MS Purview and provide email records from Exchange Online back to the public in an easily readable PDF format. **What do you dislike about GoldFynch?** There was nothing to dislike about GoldFynch's solution for processing eDiscovery. The pricing is upfront and you didn't need to contact sales to understand what it costs. While you are using it you can easily contact support and they email right back. They were able to show me how the solution will pro-rate based on storage usage down to the second which really is a brilliant solution for us to easily use this. What's not to love about a great application that does what it says with no hoops. **What problems is GoldFynch solving and how is that benefiting you?** I was using a PDF plugin to MS Outlook to convert emails. This was very problematic for all the attachments in the emails and often had errors on emoticons and other invalid filename characters. The same day I imported content into GoldFynch I was able to process the email content (MSG format was best and imported great as a .ZIP file of them) and was able to export the content for delivery in the same day. So much better than the days it took before to chase down emoticons and bad attachments. ### 2. The system performs OCR automatically, making every document searchable. You can count on your monthly bill to be what it says online which helps keep litigation costs within budget. The system is very intuitive so it's easy to use. I recommend it for use to all of my clients. **What do you dislike about GoldFynch?** I wish Goldfynch had a "pop-out" screen so I could drag and drop the document image to another screen when reviewing each document. **What problems is GoldFynch solving and how is that benefiting you?** It allows access to eDiscovery platforms that many of the small law offices I service could not usually afford. This helps expedite my review of the client's documents and allows me to search for documents essential to litigation. ### 3. By pricing lower and offering other services as add-in's. It keeps our eDiscovery costs down so that we can focus on our client. Our reviewers seem to like the simplicity of the platform too. **What do you dislike about GoldFynch?** I wish the download links would either stay up longer than 7 days or somehow hook-into sharepoint or OneDrive. If Billing invoices could be available for two admins at the organization that would also be great. Other than that no complaints. It's wonderful platform. **What problems is GoldFynch solving and how is that benefiting you?** eDiscovery platform costs were too expensive for some of our clients. This came in within budget. ### 4. Existing in the cloud, multiple users can access the program simultaneously. Service charges are based on data storage (vs. case creation, users, production, etc.), meaning each case is a standalone charge rather than a huge upfront cost or charges for services not used. Queries are easy to use, and tags make finding and sorting documents a breeze. Whenever I had an issue I couldn't figure out, I would get a response from support in less than a day. **What do you dislike about GoldFynch?** Some features are only accessible through a support ticket, but more often than not there is no extra charge to have dedicated support assistance. **What problems is GoldFynch solving and how is that benefiting you?** Ability to locate documents and pare down responsive documents from a large set; redact confidential and sensitive information; prepare sets for attorney and client review; document production ### 6. It can be as simple as exporting a PST file as usable PDF's to full blown document review and production, the choice is ours. We can be more efficient and more competitive while keeping expenses in check. The software requires us to work smarter but help is never more than an email away. **What do you dislike about GoldFynch?** I would like to see the software evolve to a place where we can import productions during document discovery without waiting on a Goldfynch associate to finish the process. **What problems is GoldFynch solving and how is that benefiting you?** ESI comes to us in many formats.
