There is very little I actually dislike, but the one complaint I do have is that I wish that in teacher view mode, I could have more adjustability in screen size. Current options are 2, 4, 8, or 10 screens at a glance. I'd love to see it open to 3 as well, as sometimes 4 is still too small, and two is too large. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering GoGuardian Teacher: If you are looking for a software platform to monitor student device use, GoGuardian Teacher should be at the top of your list. We have previously used two other platforms, and GGT far surpasses both of them in every possible way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is GoGuardian Teacher solving and how is that benefiting you? The biggest problem we were trying to solve is to make sure students were staying on task when learning remotely. GoGuardian allows us to monitor all student Chromebooks, including student's personal computers if they are logged into Google Chrome. A very unexpected, and incredibly useful benefit has been the chat feature that is integrated into GGT. It allows students to chat with their TEACHER ONLY to ask for clarification or help if something isn't clear, and they're embarrassed to ask in the Meet chat or verbally. This product allows you to keep students safe and to make sure they stay on track and focused on their work. What do you dislike about GoGuardian Teacher? Sometimes it can be glitchy and slow to load, but that may have more to do with our school's internet than the product itself. I love how I can schedule the times that I want go guardian to review my class. This way I can teach and check in with students after class if they are not using their time appropriately. What do you dislike about GoGuardian Teacher? Sometimes goguardian does take too much time to load or lags a little while I am trying to see what is on the student screen. It has helped me manage student computers without having to be looking at their computers all class. They have gotten a lot more responsible with their computer use. This way I am able to be very transparent with what I am looking for. When they are off task, I show them what they were doing and how much time they were wasting. I love GoGuardian because I'm able to help my students and see their screens. This has been a blessing because during distance learning, I can't help them in the classroom. I love that I can help students stay focused on work and not get sidetracked with additional sites. I like the chat option as well. The most helpful application of GoGuardian is the ability to monitor what students are doing on their device while online in my classroom. Also very important is the ability to focus students onto the lessons at hand. GoGuardian provides educators with a way to monitor, communicate, and redirect students that are using a device connected with their Google accounts. I used it prior to the pandemic, and, when we went virtual, my teaching life was way easier, especially already having been familiar with the program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about GoGuardian Teacher? The only thing I dislike is the inability to connect students not on a Google account. The fact that this integrates well with Google Classroom and is an easy platform for teachers to work with is a huge plus! Scheduling is extremely easy and intuitive, with various options at your disposal to create options for your students. There is no integration with Google Docs or Google Admin, so a teacher is left to create workarounds for directly monitoring student work and maintaining passwords. Before, I had to set up each class on a daily basis, with no way to calendar a "template" for 90% of my needs. This was a huge time-waster several times a month having to schedule every interval for each class, six classes per day including breaks, for a total of 10 iterations.
