Is Glean free, or does it offer a free trial?

Who is Glean pricing best suited for?

G2 reviews of Glean skew heavily toward Enterprise and Mid-Market organizations, with the strongest adoption visible in Computer Software, Information Technology, Financial Services, and Telecommunications. Glean's pricing and feature depth are best suited for companies managing knowledge sprawl across a large SaaS stack, specifically those running Slack, Confluence, Jira, Google Workspace, Salesforce, or SharePoint simultaneously. G2 reviewers in support, sales engineering, and technical writing roles report the highest per-user productivity gains. Small businesses appear in G2 reviews but are less common, and one Mid-Market reviewer flags cost as a barrier. Organizations with fewer than 50 employees or limited integration needs may find Glean's custom-quote pricing difficult to justify.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of Glean?

Glean offers no free tier or publicly listed pricing tiers, according to G2's pricing data for Glean. Access is available exclusively through custom enterprise quotes. G2 reviewers do not reference any free version or trial period. This means prospective buyers must engage Glean's sales team directly to obtain pricing, with no self-serve entry point. One Mid-Market reviewer explicitly cites Glean's enterprise-level pricing as a concern, and a Financial Services reviewer notes their employer discontinued Glean due to cost. For teams evaluating Glean's pricing, the absence of a free or freemium tier means the full feature set, including multi-source indexing, AI chat, and MCP connectors, is only accessible through a paid contract.

Is Glean considered good value for its pricing?

G2 reviewers overwhelmingly rate Glean at 4.5 to 5.0 out of 5, signaling strong satisfaction relative to cost. Recurring themes across G2 reviews include cutting search time by over 90%, reducing onboarding time by roughly 40%, and saving employees more than an hour per week. One Mid-Market IT reviewer explicitly flags Glean's enterprise-level pricing as a notable drawback, and a separate Financial Services reviewer notes their company stopped paying for Glean due to cost, though colleagues missed it immediately. For organizations with sprawling SaaS stacks, G2 data on Glean's pricing suggests the productivity gains justify the premium; smaller teams with tighter budgets may find the custom-quote model harder to absorb.

"Remarkably Effective for Unified Information Access"

What do you like best about Glean?

I like Glean because it's fast, easy, and generally accurate. It's impressive that it integrates data from different systems that previously didn't talk to each other, like Salesforce, Slack and Google Workspace, and combines it with public information on the internet. It really does seem to understand our business, and I haven't seen it hallucinate. During the initial setup, even though I wasn't directly involved, it seemed pretty good except for a small issue with the Slack connector, but overall, it's been great. What do you dislike about Glean?

I find it a little bit challenging to stand up an agent. I'd also love to understand how to take it to the next level to have the agents act autonomously and independently, like updating fields on our Salesforce. I'd also love to see it connects with LinkedIn Sales Navigator. It might do these things, I'm just not aware of it yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful for Siloed Data, but Too Expensive as LLMs Improve"
1.5/5
What do you like best about Glean?

For larger organizations that have data, documents, and collateral scattered across different databases and repositories and deal with siloes / complicated permissioning, Glean can help simplify AI integrations / collateral administration. It also pitches itself as an AI cost management tool that helps match tasks to the most efficient LLMs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Glean?

It's expensive, and the LLMs are getting better and inferring context. With a little front-end work on data and content management, we no longer saw the value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
