GitBook allows me to easily publish an online book describing an artistic project based on GitHub. As an artist using the power of Git code repositories, GitBook provides me with a unique platform that is transparent, responsive and Git-reliant. It also integrates external sources of creative work, such as Instagram and other popular media platforms. Its pagination feature and Markdown pages make my task of writing and presenting Git-based code quite enjoyable. This is why I chose it as the platform for publishing a book documenting my artistic practice, as is common in the traditional art world. I'm currently a beneficiary of their community plan, which supports my open source project in the best possible way. Their customer support is first class. All my support requests have been successfully resolved within a few days. It took me a few hours to get a book up and running : book.awalkaday.art. There is no cumbersome experience when using the GitBook app online. It's available in an international language that is the lingua franca of the web. It's free to use and free to access.
