"Effortless Setup with Powerful Features"
5/5
What do you like best about Framer?

I like how smooth my workflow is with Framer. When I started using it three years ago, I found the learning curve almost nonexistent, and I was comfortable with it within a week. I appreciate the way I can build components, create interactive elements, and manage the CMS. The UI stands out for me too. The recent release of the AI Agent has been a highlight, enhancing my projects. Also, I usually integrate Framer with different models of AI via their Agent or with the Claude external agent, which improves my workflow. The initial setup was effortless, and I'm so satisfied that I'd rate my likelihood to recommend Framer to others a 10 out of 10. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Framer?

It could be very minor things thet I'm missing at the moment Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jurre Houtkamp of Framer

Thanks, Cristian! I’m glad Framer makes it easy to build components, create interactive elements, and manage CMS content while keeping your learning curve low. I also appreciate you calling out the AI Agent and your note that there are still a few minor things missing—we always consider feedback as we continue improving the workflow.

"Designer-Friendly with Efficient Tool Integrations"
5/5
What do you like best about Framer?

Framer is a designer's dream. I can create any webpage exactly how I want it without needing a pro developer, which is perfect for someone like me who is a designer and a writer. I love how easily Framer connects to many tools I use, and I can even embed our own solution onto my website without any problems. It's a next-generation, top-notch CMS, and the way I can easily take stuff from Figma and paste it into Framer is really awesome. The platform is also easy to use and quick to develop for small teams, making it ideal for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Framer?

Framer's pricing seems to scale quite quickly and is somewhat unclear. I also wish Framer had a faster Windows app because now it doesn't matter whether I use browser or Windows. Framer can feel a bit slow sometimes, and occasionally the view jumps around, making my designs mysteriously go out of focus. This can be a bit annoying, especially since I have a wide screen. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jurre Houtkamp of Framer

Thanks, Rolf. I’m glad Framer helps you bring design, writing, Figma work, embeds, and tool connections into one workflow. You can find our windows app at https://www.framer.com/downloads/

"Intuitive Onboarding & Smooth Claude Access, But Monthly Price Stings"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Framer?

It's pretty darn intuitive - if you've used web builders in the past, it won't take long to onboard + Claude has smoooooth access which is still not always the case. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Framer?

I HATE the hutzpa of charging nearly TWICE as much for monthly rather than annual fees. Such high costs combined with the fact that you can't easily EXPORT = unfair vendor lockin. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jurre Houtkamp of Framer

Thanks, Rachel. Glad onboarding felt quick and that Claude connected smoothly. I hear you on monthly vs annual, and on export. Annual is the lower-cost path, and the lock-in point is fair. I’ll take the export note back to the team.

"The fastest way from idea to live site"
5/5
What do you like best about Framer?

I've used Framer for client websites for a while now, and the biggest win is that I can design and publish from the same canvas, so there's no handoff to a developer and no second tool to learn. The interface feels like Figma, which made it easy to pick up — layers, frames, and auto-layout work the way I expect, and breakpoints are visual, so responsive design is much quicker than writing media queries. The CMS is simple to set up and connects with Google Sheets and Airtable, so I don't need a backend, and forms, analytics, and SEO tools plug in without much setup. Performance is strong out of the box — sites load fast, images are optimized for me, and Lighthouse scores are good without extra work, so I never have to think about hosting or caching. On pricing, the paid plans feel fair for client work: one site costs less than hiring a developer for the same build, the free plan is enough to test ideas, and the real ROI is time saved — I ship in days instead of weeks, which means I can take on more projects without hiring help. Support and onboarding are solid too, with clear docs, active forums, and quick live chat, and clients can edit CMS text without breaking the design, which saves a lot of back-and-forth. The AI features are useful for first drafts of layouts and copy — I use them to get past a blank page and then refine by hand, so they're not ready for final design decisions but they save time at the start. Overall, Framer has replaced two or three tools in my workflow and cut my build time in half. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Framer?

My main frustration with Framer is the code component side — once you go past the no-code features, the learning curve gets steep, and the docs for custom components aren't as deep as the basic tutorials, so I often end up piecing things together from forum posts. The CMS is solid now that cross-references are supported, but it still lacks proper roles and permissions, which makes it hard to hand off to clients with multiple editors who each need different access. Performance is good on small sites, but I've noticed pages with heavy animations or many CMS items can slow down in the editor, even if the published site runs fine — a lighter editor mode would help. Pricing is fair per site, but it adds up quickly when you manage several client projects, and a studio plan that bundles multiple sites at a lower per-site cost would make a real difference for agencies and freelancers. The AI features feel early — they're good for first drafts but often produce generic layouts that don't match a brand, and I'd like more control over style and tone before generating, maybe by pointing the AI at an existing page as a style reference. Lastly, exporting a site out of Framer isn't really possible, so you're locked into their hosting, which makes some clients nervous about long-term ownership. None of these are dealbreakers, but better permissions, clearer pricing for agencies, and a deeper code layer would make Framer feel complete. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jurre Houtkamp of Framer

Thanks, Abhijeet. Your client workflow is the use case we care about: design, CMS, responsive work, and publishing from one canvas. I hear you on code components, deeper docs, roles for client handoff, and performance on larger sites. Those details help us see where advanced teams need more support.

Response from Jurre Houtkamp of Framer

"A powerful design-to-web tool that bridges creativity and code"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Framer?

Framer makes transforming design concepts into interactive prototypes and production-ready websites remarkably straightforward. Its drag-and-drop interface is intuitive, and the option to incorporate custom code provides valuable flexibility when needed. What I appreciate most is how quickly I can publish and share live projects, all without the need for external hosting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Framer?

The real-time collaboration and responsive design features have saved me a significant amount of time. Being able to design, test, and launch everything within a single platform means I don't have to constantly switch between different tools, which really streamlines my workflow and helps me work more efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jurre Houtkamp of Framer

Thanks, Dhileep. I’m glad Framer helps you move from design concepts to live responsive sites in one place. Your note about custom code flexibility and publishing without separate hosting gives us helpful context. We’ll keep improving that design-to-web flow for solo creators.

"Great for shipping interactive sites without engineering"
5/5
What do you like best about Framer?

What I like most about Framer is how quickly you can go from idea to a polished, live website. The interaction and animation capabilities are incredibly smooth, and it’s one of the few tools where the final output actually feels production-quality without needing a developer. The design-to-publish flow is fast, and small details like responsive behavior, hover states, and micro-interactions are easy to set up. It’s especially great for designers who want control over motion and layout without writing code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Framer?

The learning curve can be steep, especially if you’re coming from tools like Figma and expecting it to behave the same way. Some layout and responsiveness concepts take time to fully understand, and it can feel unintuitive at first. It’s also not ideal for complex, content-heavy sites or workflows that require a lot of CMS customization. Pricing can be a bit high for personal projects, which might be a barrier if you’re just experimenting or building small sites. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jurre Houtkamp of Framer

Thanks, Sakshi. I’m glad Framer gives you control over motion, hover states, responsive behavior, and live publishing without an engineering handoff. I hear you on the learning curve, CMS limits for content-heavy sites, and pricing for smaller projects. Those notes help the team focus on the right parts of the product.

What do you dislike about Framer?

Response from Jurre Houtkamp of Framer

Thanks, Claire. I’m glad Framer helps you save time and build polished sites without a long setup. Your point about advanced features makes sense. We want the first steps to stay fast while the deeper parts become easier to learn.

"Framer Makes Website Design Easy, Fast, and SEO-Friendly"
5/5
What do you like best about Framer?

It’s easy to design a website with Framer. The tools are straightforward, and the content management system is very powerful while still being easy to use. Framer also provides excellent SEO tools through plugins. Overall, websites made on Framer are very fast and well optimized. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Framer?

Framer has a limited number of prebuilt templates, and the pricing feels a bit high—especially if you need to upgrade your hosting or move to a higher plan. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jurre Houtkamp of Framer

Thanks, Harshit. I’m glad the CMS, SEO tools, and speed fit your needs. Your notes on templates and pricing help. We’ll keep improving the starting points and plan clarity so teams can choose the right setup with less guesswork.

"Effortless Design-to-Live Websites Conversion"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Framer?

I like how Framer has presented the articles, libraries, components, templates, and all the knowledge about the platform. It's very well documented and well placed within the environment, which I really appreciate. The most important part for me is the components of the framework. Framer's open library allows me to tweak components as per my requirements, which is really helpful. It also lets me easily tweak templates to create live websites. I find the learning curve with Framer much easier than with other design tools. Also, the initial setup was very easy for me because it has a similar interface to Figma, which I'm familiar with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Framer?

Basically, maybe the complexity of the interface is something that can be improved. And also yeah. I mean, the complexity of the interface, that is something which needs a little bit of work. But other than that, it looks good for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jurre Houtkamp of Framer

Thanks, Sanket. Glad the component library, templates, and Figma-like setup help you go from design to a live site in one place. We’ll keep making that path clearer.
