## FlowCrypt Reviews
  ### 1. FlowCrypt makes PGP encryption with Gmail seamless.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about FlowCrypt?**

Simple to install, simple to generate a key pair.

**What do you dislike about FlowCrypt?**

This isn't the fault of flowcrypt but I have external users that refuse to generate a PGP key pair. Or perhaps I have internal users who would like to send PGP encrypted messages to external destinations and the external users refuses to generate PGP key pairs. The solution is a 1 time password and short term storage.

**Recommendations to others considering FlowCrypt:**

FlowCrypt is an easy PGP solution for Gmail. It is free and easy if you don't need to encrypt things over 5Mb. Try it for yourself.

**What problems is FlowCrypt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are required to use encryption and flowcrypt makes it easy.

  ### 2. FlowCrypt is easy to use email encryption that seamlessly integrates with G-Mail

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about FlowCrypt?**

We use G Suite and FlowCrypt seamlessly integrates with Gmail. As the G Suite administrator I have Chrome automatically install FlowCrypt for users and all they need to do is setup their keypair. I had use PGP prior to FlowCrypt but the integration was quite clunky. This is simple. It took about 5 minutes to setup and create documentation for my users.

**What do you dislike about FlowCrypt?**

This is not as much of an issue with FlowCrypt as it is with email recipients outside our agency but very few have encryption key pairs. That makes it so that a one time password is required and the message is only good for 7 days. The other problem with this is that with a one time password somehow you have to get the password to the other person.

**Recommendations to others considering FlowCrypt:**

Make sure the people you are going to be sending encrypted messages use PGP encryption. The biggest issue that I have are communications outside our agency. Inside our agency it the people who use it have their key pairs setup and it works great. Outside the agency I have no control over what other agencies use. As such a lot of them use other approaches to secure messaging that see a whole lot more cumbersome for end users. I mentioned the government agency we deal with a lot and they specifically said that they would not accept secure messaging after COVID-19 crisis is over. I am convinced that the reason behind that is that what they are using is cumbersome and awkward. The only reason I put a 3 for Meets Requirements is because not everyone we are communicating with uses PGP.

**What problems is FlowCrypt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We do a lot of work with a government entity that refuses to use email for anything insisting that a fax is more secure. With COVID-19 they have realized that people are not likely to have their fax machines in their home and email can be effective but they require us to have a policy about encryption. We are set up and ready to go. Unfortunately they use some other system that really isn't email encryption. It securely stores the file or message and then sends a link to it.
