"Great for Time Tracking and Staying Focused"
4/5
What do you like best about Float.com?

It helps me keep track of my time and stops me from wasting it on projects that are secondary or less important. Using the built-in timer has been a game changer, and the drag-to-resize hours feature has saved me quite a bit of time when adjusting my tasks. The interface is also clean, and it’s quick to learn and easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

As a developer, I find the project management features cumbersome and difficult to read. Also it is difficult to understand in which phase to your time on Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Scheduling with Instant Updates and Clear Jira Task Linking"
4/5
What do you like best about Float.com?

I like that it’s easy to check my work schedule without having to communicate much with my manager. I’m simply assigned work, and I know what to do. It connects with Jira, so it’s clear which task is linked to what. It also updates instantly as soon as I’m assigned tasks, which makes it easy to stay on top of my workload. What do you dislike about Float.com?

It could connect more seamlessly with Jira in a way that I could just go to float and click on a link to go there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Enhances Resource Management with Ease, Needs Bulk Entry Optimization"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Float.com?

I really find Float.com invaluable for our company. It helps with mapping employees to projects smoothly, and then our HR can easily download reports. This is particularly helpful for tracking who is mapped to what project, the exact hours they are logging, and analyzing resources. I greatly appreciate the ease of logging hours on the website; it's really user-friendly. Additionally, adding notes for each entry is simple and convenient. Another aspect I like is how the company trusts the hours logged on Float without the need for micromanagement, and this trust translates into efficient billing and tracking of resources. The platform provides a clear view of resource availability and workload balance, which is vital for our operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

I find the bulk entry process a bit cumbersome, especially if I need to check or make changes. Additionally, it would be helpful to have a sandbox or dummy organization environment in Float.com for testing purposes with the API. This would allow users to develop a proof of concept for automating the logging of hours without the risk of affecting real data. Also, the user experience could be confusing for first-time users, as I initially struggled to find the option to log hours. Once I learned where to click, it was no longer confusing, but that initial setup was challenging. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effective for Team Resourcing, Needs Better Project Splitting"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Float.com?

I like being able to see a quick overview of what everyone's working on and the different options available for managing situations like when someone is off sick or has paid time off. It's quite easy to move chunks of time around from one week to the other, which is helpful for managing resources for my team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

I think some of the ways that I've had a project on are a little bit clunky sometimes, so I wish there was a quick way to split. If I've made a chunk of a project, like a long project for a month of someone's time, it's quick for me to just add it in from the first of the month to the end. I wish there was a way that I could automatically split those into days. You can at the moment, but you have to click on each day to then split it one at a time. I think having an option where in one click, it divides up this chunkier booking into smaller chunks that I can then maneuver would be helpful. It would be more helpful if there was an easier way to quickly split a big chunk of time up into smaller chunks to then be able to manage the resource. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Time Tracking, Slight Learning Curve for Scheduling"
4/5
What do you like best about Float.com?

I appreciate that Float.com is easy to use and has many color codes, which makes it simple to understand where my time is being spent just by looking at the colors. Each project has a different color, allowing me to quickly see if the budgeted time for a project matches actual usage. The streamlined logging process is a huge plus, with time-saving selections tailored to my role. It's helpful that all categories are the same across projects, making it easy to categorize my time consistently. I find it easier to get data for different groups and unify time buckets for company-wide reviews rather than having each group tracking time independently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

I find setting up repeating schedules a little difficult. I have certain projects which require a set amount of time every day, but some days I have to prioritize other jobs, which reduces my scheduled time. For logging, I notice my repeated schedule is broken into daily items, but it would be great if I could manage this better on the planning portion of the website. "Clear, Real-Time Team Capacity Planning with Intuitive Drag-and-Drop Scheduling"
4/5
What do you like best about Float.com?

What I like best about Float is how clearly it visualizes team capacity and project allocations in real time. As an account manager, it makes it easy to see who’s available, rebalance workloads quickly, and avoid overbooking before it becomes an issue. The interface is intuitive, and the drag-and-drop scheduling saves a lot of time compared to manual planning. It’s especially helpful for keeping client projects on track while staying aligned with internal team bandwidth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

What I dislike about Float is that reporting and customization can feel a bit limited, especially when you need more tailored insights for client-facing updates. While the core scheduling is strong, pulling more detailed analytics or exporting data in a highly specific format sometimes requires extra manual work. It would also be helpful to see deeper integrations or more flexibility in how views are configured for different stakeholder needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
