Filio is an AI-powered construction photo documentation and field reporting platform for construction, engineering, inspection, and field teams. Its Data Collector mobile app captures project evidence, while the Web Console connects review, search, collaboration and customizable PDF/Word reporting. Teams use Filio for jobsite progress documentation, inspections, QA/QC, closeouts, roof surveys, insurance evidence, environmental fieldwork and geotechnical documentation. Photos and observations remain connected to their project and spatial context instead of being scattered across camera rolls and folders. Available GPS, timestamps, direction and captured-by metadata help teams find and interpret records. Tags, custom fields and annotations add project-specific detail. Key workflows include: - Field capture: record photos, videos, 360 media, documents and voice notes on maps, plan sheets and blueprints. Supported offline capture synchronizes when connectivity returns. - Walking and room scanning: Walking (Smart SLAM + AR) places photos on a calibrated plan sheet during a jobsite walk. Interior Scan creates indoor 2D floor plans and 3D room representations on compatible devices. - Photo-based 3D models: photogrammetry supports 3D reconstruction from suitable project photographs, connecting visual documentation with model review. - Before & After: pair earlier and later photos to compare site conditions and visual construction progress. - AI organization and reports: use editable AI captions and labels, multilingual voice-to-text, video transcription and project-specific guidance. Search by content, metadata, map, plan sheet and timeline, then assemble reusable branded PDF or Word reports. Company, office, group and project structures support controlled collaboration with field crews, office staff and authorized external participants. Filio supports media imports from Google Drive, Dropbox and Microsoft OneDrive, KML/KMZ/GeoJSON map layers, and compatible Ricoh and Insta360 workflows for 360 capture. What do you like best about Filio?

I like Filio for its photo management capabilities. It lets me capture and upload job site photos directly to the platform, keeping everything organized by project. What do you like best about Filio?

Filio is a very practical and easy-to-use application, especially if your work requires you to manage several projects at the same time. It streamlines the process of keeping digital records, saving you from the trouble of handling paperwork. The app automatically generates a description from the image you capture, including details like the approximate location and the exact date and time of upload. We rely on it almost every day, and its straightforward interface has significantly reduced the time needed to train new employees. What do you dislike about Filio?

While Filio is quite practical, I have noticed that its automatic image descriptions are not always completely accurate and occasionally need to be manually edited to fix certain details. Additionally, the app performs best when there is a stable internet connection, which can be a drawback if you are working in locations with unreliable connectivity. Regarding the project access issues: this is typically managed by your company’s administrator. If the same group of users is typically involved in all projects, your administrator can actually use Project Templates. By creating templates based on different groups of users and project structures, when creating a new project, they can ensure everyone has instant access without needing to be added manually each time. This is a great way to streamline your project management workflow.

As for saving images: we utilize the download feature specifically to ensure that when you save a photo, the full resolution and GPS metadata remain perfectly intact.

What do you like best about Filio?

Filio keeps all our site photos in one place and actually makes them usable. The data collector app is simple for the field, and once photos are captured, the office can see them in real time, no texting, no waiting, no digging through folders.
