"Filewave Passes with Flying Colors"
5/5
What do you like best about FileWave?

One of the biggest features our system enjoys is the multi-platform support that Filewave gives. Having the ability not to worry about what technology items will be supported or which ones won't is a big advantage for us. One of problems a large school system has includes having various devices added to the list of supported devices without any indication they are coming. Filewave gives us the peace of mind knowing their systems will support our devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FileWave?

A large school system at times comes with unique issues that we have to plan for and overcome. Filewave does have great ability to customize its usage and support. The one thing I wish we were able to do more of is tailor the built-in dashboard view to add columns and sort criteria to see things instantly. We can still see what we need, but we just have to run a report to do it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Josh Levitsky of FileWave

It’s great to hear FileWave gives your team confidence as new devices join your environment and helps you deploy updates quickly. We’re also pleased the reporting tools help you understand your inventory and focus your efforts. Thanks for noting the dashboard customization opportunity—we value feedback that helps us improve. In the time since your video quite a bit has been updated in the area of patching. Hopefully we are on a path that greatly helps your workflow.

"Filewave MDM service"
5/5
What do you like best about FileWave?

Filewave gives a granular level of control that is second to none, their customer service is spectacular and their engineers are always more than willing to get on a call and answer any questions. It's impossible to imagine how hundreds or thousands of devices could be managed seamlessly like FileWave does. I recommend it without the slightest reservation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FileWave?

I have not had any complaints at all. I am more that satisfied with their service Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Josh Levitsky of FileWave

Thank you for your enthusiastic recommendation! We’re delighted that FileWave’s granular controls and centralized management are helping you support diverse devices across school districts—and that our team has been there whenever you need us.

What do you like best about FileWave?

FileWave is the all in one Swiss army knife of device management tools. We chose this product because of its ability to help us with managing our iPad's, MacBook's and Windows PC's. The support and leadership are also the reason our company chose FileWave. They really listen to the customer and want to make the experience a positive one. They believe the product is the what makes "IT the Easy Button". In many ways FileWave has done that for us. I am not sure how we could manage over one thousand devices on a daily basis with out it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FileWave?

I have not had any negative issues with FileWave. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Josh Levitsky of FileWave

Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re thrilled FileWave helps your team manage more than 1,000 iPads, MacBooks, and Windows PCs from one console while simplifying inventory, patching, and app deployment. Your kind words about our support and leadership mean a lot. We appreciate your recommendation!

"FileWave is versatile Multiplatform MDM/MAM Software"

What do you like best about FileWave?

With FileWave, I can manage Windows, Macs, iOS, Apple TVs, Chromebooks, and Android. macOS and iOS both Support Apple's Automatics Enrollment Program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FileWave?

The only downside has been lack of SSO like Mosyle Auth or Jamf Connect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Josh Levitsky of FileWave

Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re glad FileWave helps you manage such a wide range of devices centrally, while simplifying app deployment and license management. We appreciate your feedback about SSO and will share it with our team. Our current position is that PSSO is the direction Apple is going, and other than that XCreds has been a wonderful solution we have been happy to recommend to customers rather than building our own clone of those paths.

"A new way of our “deployment-thinking”! And still a great choice..."

What do you like best about FileWave?

Self-service and kiosk - in the future we will increasingly focus on supporting the end users in their independence. With a well-structured self-service and an IT-supported kiosk, end users should have more control. DEP - the integrated DEP Manager will support us in the introduction of DEP with new and "old" devices and will facilitate the initial inclusion of new hardware in our client management. FileVault Key Management - We are already using Institutional Recovery Keys, but want to use the personal key solution in FileWave in the future. License Management - For administrative overviews of compliance reports, we will use FileWave in the future. This gives our administrators a quick overview of the license requirements. With our external procurement solution including various release processes, license software should be automatically made available to authorized persons in addition to the previous mostly free software. MDM - In addition to the daily challenge of smaller requirements, we will continue to expand the DEP integration with FileWave and guarantee a smooth integration of the iOS devices. Network - Exchange with other IT colleagues from other companies to get to know many other possibilities. In many cases the problems are comparable, the solution does not always have to be reinvented. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FileWave?

I am just worried about the fact, that it took us such a long time for choosing this product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Josh Levitsky of FileWave

Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful review! We’re delighted FileWave is helping your small team simplify software distribution, reach employees wherever they work, and manage client groups more effectively. It’s great to hear you’re also looking forward to expanding self-service, DEP, FileVault key management, and license management. We appreciate your recommendation—and we’re glad you found us!

Thanks for highlighting our Apple School Manager integration and cross-platform management, as well as noting where the PC experience could improve. In the time since your review we have likely handled some or all of those Windows concerns. What is the best way to mass image devices on a regular schedule that do not have an onboard NIC without involving needing to update the information for the client in the system each time?
