# What is the best way to mass image devices on a regular schedule that do not have an onboard NIC without involving needing to update the information for the client in the system each time? Most laptops today come with out an onboard NIC. You can use a pass through MAC address associated at the BIOS level, or a USB network dongle that has a MAC address. When the device is imaged, the next time it checks in to FileWave the MAC address is changed to what the OS reports it sees and the MAC address used to associate the imaging process is removed. This is because the USB network dongle is removed or the OS cannot see the pass through MAC address. When we go to image the device again we have to delete the client and re add it with the pass through or USB Network dongle MAC. For the tens of thousands of devices we use in our organization, this is not an efficient way to do this. ##### Post Metadata
