# What's the best sales engagement platform for outbound teams that need a large built-in B2B contact database for consistent prospecting?

Most platforms treat data and engagement as separate purchases, and teams end up paying twice and dealing with sync issues between them. The ones that do both natively are a short list, and G2 reviewers are specific about where the data quality actually holds up.

What we're hoping to find:

A built-in contact database large enough to sustain consistent outbound without needing a separate data tool

Filtering by industry, role and company size that actually works in practice

Data that stays reasonably fresh without a manual enrichment pass before every campaign

The platforms that come up most in this category:

Apollo.io: Users describe moving from spotting a target company to building a prospect list in the same platform, with one saying it cut their prospecting process by roughly 60% by removing the need to jump between tools.

Amplemarket: Comes up specifically for teams that want prospecting, sequencing and data enrichment under one roof without stitching together a separate tech stack.

ZoomInfo Sales: The data breadth is rated highly in reviews, though users note the engagement layer is stronger as part of a broader ZoomInfo stack than as a standalone outbound tool.

lemlist: Users highlight the ability to find leads and get verified emails and phone numbers without switching to a separate tool, keeping the full outbound workflow in one place.

Total database size is the least useful number here. What decides it is depth in your exact slice. A 200M-contact database can still run dry once you stack industry, role, and region filters together, because at that point you're not testing the filters, you're testing whether the tool holds real data for that specific segment. Anyone who's run the same ICP filter through two of these databases would settle more here than any headline contact count.
