What do you dislike about Fetchify?
At the end of 2022 I reviewed in dept all the companies I could find offering address lookup and email address validation for our ecommerce websites. Nine companies in total and Fetchify was one of those.
Firstly, Fetchify are expensive in comparison to the competition. For example, they cost 25% more than Ideal postcodes for a UK address lookup... GBP 4.08p per lookup compared to 3.28p from Ideal postcodes... and that is only if you take out a £469 annual subscription plan from Fetchify which you don't need with Ideal postcodes.
Secondly, I found their email validation did not work effectively in their Magento plugin because they just display a small green or red symbol on validation. It would need customisation to work. After testing on more than 4,000 orders I found we received a similar rate of emails with typos in them. They'd need a more visible warning message displayed to customers to let them know their mistake.
And again email validation costs 3.06p compared with just 1.7p from Ideal postcodes... almost 50% more!
To top it all off Fetchify are the only company I had a poor customer service experience with. Once you subscribe to one of their plans you can't cancel without contacting their customer service team; there is no button to cancel in the dashboard. Well, unfortunately, I forgot to contact them to cancel my annual subscription and was charged another £469 two weeks prior to the renewal date.
I immediately emailed their customer support to say it was a mistake and I hadn't used their platform in 11 months. I got a short reply saying according to their T&Cs there was nothing they could do. Two more emails asking for my subscription to be cancelled were ignored. So I had to phone them to get the plan cancelled but completely unwilling to meet me half way on the renewal. Nothing they can do apparently.
So buyer beware! You can get a perfect service elsewhere for 25% to 50% less with better customer service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
