The most helpful item in Fathom is its reporting feature, I can make a customized report (i.e. contribution margin P&L) and it automatically updates each month with the new data. This saves my team so much manual work and time Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Fathom is restricting with its customization. For example, I cannot compare a rolling 12 month period with its prior period. My company's use is more FP&A focused and we need as much customization as possible. Also, I don't like that I cannot have customer level data, only class level data. Ease of use and strong visual financial reporting. Our leadership team is made up of designers, so they understand financial reporting much more easily when it’s presented in a graphic format. I think there are some rigidities about the report that can be improved. In terms of how it can be used to present certain information especially personal info for the clients it doesnt do that as well. When an upload error happens, it doesn’t show any error message, so I have to troubleshoot it with Fathom. It would be much better if there were a report or clearer error details to help identify what went wrong. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Fathom is very good for its strategic finance functionality. As a small business owner, it allows me to keep on top of the company finances without having to go obscure Xero work, asking CFOs or accountants to do things. But actually the thing I like best about Fathom is its customer support. As a non-finance expert using a robust finance tool, their team are extremely response, patient, helpful and actual humans, and their help pages are good too. I use Fathom for reporting, forecasting, and analysis for my clients. It makes it easy to create beautiful, nicely structured reports, offering a great balance of structure and flexibility. I really like how easy it is to create a gorgeous, crystal-clear presentation of all the financial information I need. Even though there's a bit of a learning curve, it's pretty intuitive, and the documentation is solid.
