## Fantastical Reviews
  ### 1. Natural language calendar management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kelly W. | Marketing specialist, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Fantastical?**

I love that I can manage all my calendars from one tool at the same time. And I love that I can create new events and new tasks by typing with natural language. I don’t have to select from lots of drop downs or anything like that.

**What do you dislike about Fantastical?**

For some reason my watch will only sync with updates done on my phone and not on my iPad which means when I mark tasks as complete on my iPad. They don’t show up as complete on my watch until I’ve marked them as completed on my phone as well.

**What problems is Fantastical solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it allows me to manage all my multiple calendars in one place as well as calendars for my children. It makes it much quicker and easier to do so by allowing me to add new entries using natural language.

  ### 2. Fantastical

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve C. | behavior professional, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Fantastical?**

Access to schedule. Ease of adding and sharing calendar events

**What do you dislike about Fantastical?**

How you may want to integrate it into other programs.

**What problems is Fantastical solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking my calendar events

  ### 3. I love this calendar app, but it comes with a cost

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Policy | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2023

**What do you like best about Fantastical?**

It is super easy to use. It's hard to explain to folks who have basic calendar needs, but my calendar is very busy. It allows you to use plain english to add items to the calendar and the interface is great. It's much better than iCal.

**What do you dislike about Fantastical?**

For what it does, it really should be cheaper. They dont host the calendar or do anything fancy, the app and your computer do all the work, so they have little infratructure needs.

**What problems is Fantastical solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am on the go and I am in meetings all the time. I need a nimble calendar tool that lets me see my schedule easily and book quickly

  ### 4. Raise in price of Fantastical is unacceptable. I'm switching.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Fantastical?**

It's so easy to manage my many calendar accounts and the GUI is wonderful.

**What do you dislike about Fantastical?**

Nothing except the ridiculour price increase of almost double.

**What problems is Fantastical solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nothing in particular.

  ### 5. Fantastical for scheduling work is great

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Derek S. | Tutor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2022

**What do you like best about Fantastical?**

I like how easy it is to make recurring events and how it can decode plain English into a title, date, time, and location.

**What do you dislike about Fantastical?**

I wish I could create zoom meetings on my iPhone/iPad. Right now it has to be on the computer app.

**What problems is Fantastical solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's making it very easy to scheduling my online tutoring sessions.

  ### 6. Many great features make Fantastical a worthy calendar app

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richard T. | Marketing Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2020

**What do you like best about Fantastical?**

Fantastical excels at parsing (enter events in plain sentences and it figures it out (e.g., "lunch with Peter tomorrow from noon to 1pm"), handling of attachments, cross platform macOS-iOS, handling of multiple calendars, view options (I like the 14-day week view).

**What do you dislike about Fantastical?**

Not too fussy about their subscription pricing. I know everyone is going that way and its not expensive at just a few dollars a month, but I'm paying for so many other SaaS subscriptions that I kind of resent having to do that for my calendar app. And lately it has been a bit crashy.

**Recommendations to others considering Fantastical:**

If you want to step up from using Google Calendar in the browser, or using Apple's built-in calendar app, Fantastical is, as the name suggests, a fantastic option.

**What problems is Fantastical solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integration with Gmail and handling of multiple calendars, both excellent.

  ### 7. Best tool for calendar access - particularly with the toolbar app..

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric G. | Sales Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Fantastical?**

I use the toolbar with a hot key probably about 100 times a day. I use it to pull up my calendar, check meetings, book meetings, etc.

I also like the new links to Zoom/Google Meet so it can kick off meetings straight from the app.

**What do you dislike about Fantastical?**

The task management side isn't great. Rest is solid

**Recommendations to others considering Fantastical:**

Ease of use, multiple calendar are great.

**What problems is Fantastical solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Speed to calendar, ease of scheduling appointments, easy to jump to meetings.

Overall - just speed of access and productivity.

  ### 8. Best Calendar App

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shubham G. | Augmented Reality Researcher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Fantastical?**

This app syncs with all the other apps to keep my calendar updated with all my meeting schedules. This provides a very interactive and nice way to present all the meetings. Being a cross-platform app, this helps me a lot as the calendar and all the tasks are synced on all the devices so whichever device I'm working on I always stay updated with the tasks.

**What do you dislike about Fantastical?**

The app sometimes takes a lot of time to solve the issues addressed. It's widgets on the iPad are not that interactive or informative and the team can work on improving these.

**Recommendations to others considering Fantastical:**

Do recommend using this tool. You can make use of a free trial and after using this tool you can understand the features. Pricing is a little high but the features are worth the price.

**What problems is Fantastical solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It automatically detects a conference call and syncs it with the calendar which is a very useful feature.

  ### 9. Fantastic calendar... for a price. Fantastical is what Apple's calendar app should have been!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David H. | Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Fantastical?**

Design of iPhone/iPad version better than any other app
Usability is better than other calendar apps
Weather forecast on the calendar
Widgets are better than any other iOS calendar app I've seen
Premium (paid) version includes desktop, mobile and watch versions (competitors are usually separate purchase)
travel time to events/appointments included on calendar
Sync multiple calendar sets and accounts across multiple devices
Subscribe to multiple calendars via SchedJoules (sports, holidays, TV etc)
Family subscription (up to 5 users)

**What do you dislike about Fantastical?**

Free version is very limited
Full calendar view not visible unless you pay for app
Subscription model is annoying, but they have to eat so might as well embrace it

**Recommendations to others considering Fantastical:**

I hate subscribing to apps, but this is one I use every day, and it's so much better than any of the 20+ other calendars I've tried that it makes it worth it. $4.99/month (or $40/year) isn't too bad and they offer a 5 user family plan for $8/month (or $65/yr).
The full calendar view is so helpful to get a big picture view - especially on iOS. The printed calendars look great if you need to put the family calendar on the refrigerator. The addition of weather and travel time to the calendar is a time saver - you don't know what you're missing until you use it. Once you get it you won't want to go back to your old way of doing things.

**What problems is Fantastical solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I really hate having to use multiple apps to accomplish a few minor tasks. Fantastical gives me my schedule, the weather, and travel time to my appointments all in one easy to use app. Fantastical is visually pleasing and easy to use. Fantastical is one of the few apps that was worth the purchase price. It is what Apple's native calendar should have been.
The subscription model is a pain, but the developers need to make money. Thankfully the $4.99/month (or $40/year) isn't too bad and they offer a 5 user family plan for $8/month (or $65/yr). I hate subscribing to apps, but this is one I use every day, and it's so much better than any of the 20+ other calendars I've tried it makes it worth it.

  ### 10. Fantastical is a great way to schedule your day

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jake M. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Fantastical?**

My favorite feature is natural language processing for events. "Lunch with mom tomorrow at 1" perfectly translates into an appointment.

**What do you dislike about Fantastical?**

The subscription model is a bit steep and locks away some essential features

**Recommendations to others considering Fantastical:**

Consider what features you need and if a subscription will open up more of what you're looking for

**What problems is Fantastical solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It used to take forever to schedule each individual meeting or event. Natural language processing speeds up this process. The clean day/week/month views are excellent for planning out my time!

  ### 11. Very good app for organization but too expensive for subscription

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Fantastical?**

Keeps things organized, very intuitive interface, like the way you can see different views of week, day or month.

**What do you dislike about Fantastical?**

Price is too expensive, $5 a month for a calendar app seems excessive.

**Recommendations to others considering Fantastical:**

Worth trying for the free trial as it seems to have features that most native calendar apps do not integrate.

**What problems is Fantastical solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Staying more organized, staying on top of tasks, integrating different calendars.

  ### 12. Keeps me organized!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Market Research | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Fantastical?**

I think the thing I like best about Fantastical is that it exists and suddenly makes it a lot easier to manage my day to day and calendar

**What do you dislike about Fantastical?**

I don't think there are a ton of downsides but sometimes it is slower

**What problems is Fantastical solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I would say a big thing I get lost in is all of my to dos and appointments in the day to day so this has been super helpful

  ### 13. A truly fantastic calendar

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael W. | Analyst, Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2020

**What do you like best about Fantastical?**

How to add entries in natural language and extend the entries easily and flexible. Besides, the UI is great.

**What do you dislike about Fantastical?**

nothing in special – at the beginning it was awkward that the collapsed view of the calendar-timeline showed only dates with entries, but this is helpful, on the other hand.

**Recommendations to others considering Fantastical:**

Get the family license! this helps to coordinate your private and business life.

**What problems is Fantastical solving and how is that benefiting you?**

really fast entry of appointments, in real time, so to say. It provides everything of the standard Apple Calendar, but offers a vast variety of improvements: different views, easy entry of reminders, shortcut entries.

  ### 14. Best calendar app

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Fantastical?**

It is easy to use and has a clean interface. Quick event entry.

**What do you dislike about Fantastical?**

There is nothing that I dislike. Having a web option would always be nice.

**Recommendations to others considering Fantastical:**

Best calendar app available. Look at all the options. You definitely get what you pay for.

**What problems is Fantastical solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving a very busy schedule and keeping me on task.

  ### 15. An all-in-one productivity suite

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Fantastical?**

The user interface is easy to use, especially for people unfamiliar with productivity apps

**What do you dislike about Fantastical?**

I dislike the integration into Notion workspace

**What problems is Fantastical solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving issues of inefficiency in my personal and professional life

  ### 16. Fantastical easily syncs all of my calendars into one view

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mary T. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2020

**What do you like best about Fantastical?**

It's incredibly easy to intuitively schedule a calendar invite. By simply typing into the invite bar, I can tell the app that I want an event to recur every Tuesday at a particular location and it will not only create an event with that name, but will set it up as recurring and invite the proper people. Magic!

**What do you dislike about Fantastical?**

The latest version has taken some getting used to. There have been little bugs here or there that have caused some sync issues across various platforms, but my assumption (and hope!) is that these bugs are short-lived and will be resolved within the next month or two.

**Recommendations to others considering Fantastical:**

While it's a relatively high investment upfront ($40 for an app) it's worth it in the long run! Be sure to use the various calendar collections option -- it's life-changing to be able to easily switch from work-mode to home-mode and back again!

**What problems is Fantastical solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The fact that I can sync all types of calendars is key -- not just Gmail or iCal, but those as well as Office 365 and others. It's one of the few calendar apps that I've seen successfully sync all apps across the board.

  ### 17. No other calendar app will do!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Graphic Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2020

**What do you like best about Fantastical?**

Very easy to make entries on the calendar, customise alerts and attach notes etc.

**What do you dislike about Fantastical?**

I've been using Fantastical for years and am still baffled by multiple entries for birthdays. I feel sure it's my own ineptitude, but the management of other calendars and contact lists is not as clear cut as I would like.

**Recommendations to others considering Fantastical:**

There is not very much commitment to using a calendar app, so it's well worth trialling several before making a final choice. Over the years I've tried several other calendar apps but always returned to Fantastical because the others didn't measure up for me.

**What problems is Fantastical solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've been a freelance designer for over three decades, so am very self-reliant. I struggle with keeping track of important dates when I'm absorbed in my work.

Being able to set up multiple alerts for different days and times is indispensable.

  ### 18. One of the better mobile Calendar and Reminder Apps!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Fantastical?**

I love the ability to quickly create geo-location reminders... Ie, when I arrive home, do XXX. It helps to make sure I don't forget things. Especially great when leaving the office, (when Leave office, remind to XXX). It's incredibly easy to get in touch with your contacts. You have a to-do list that you can check things off throughout your day as you get them done.

**What do you dislike about Fantastical?**

The only real downside is the cost. There is a little bit of an upfront cost, but once you realize everything that you get with the cost, it is easy to understand!

**Recommendations to others considering Fantastical:**

Don't let the up front cost of Fanatical stop you from trying out this product... It is WELL worth it, and you will be glad that you did. I know that I am, and productivity has definitely seen improvements!

**What problems is Fantastical solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being more productive, and with the ability to check off tasks, it ensures that you are complete by the end of the day. Wish I had this app sooner!
