FairCom’s NAV API gives your application an unprecedented level of control over every database action. NAV allows your favorite programming language to precisely control the database. It can find any record (or a subset of records), move to next and previous records in index or data order, join to specific records in other tables, choose which records to lock, which records to include in a transaction, and which records to retrieve, insert, update, and delete. NAV allows you to save the position of records and immediately jump back to those positions to retrieve records without index lookup. You can run SQL simultaneously with any NAV operation. This gives your application the best of both worlds. SQL solves easy problems with little code. NAV solves hard problems with little code by leveraging the full capabilities of mainstream programming languages, such as Java, C#, C++, Python, and Javascript. NAV extends these languages to control the database with a small amount of simple code. Faircom Product Stack is "Best of Breed" ! **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Lynton G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2023 **What do you like best about FaircomDB?** After doing a massive about of research into database solutions I found Faircom DB to be the most "engineer friendly" where one truely has the best of all worlds -- low level access to code, highly configurable, a wonderful API, NOSQL and SQL etc. The fact that the company has been around for 30+ years and has such a great team is just more reason to "put a peg in the ground" on the ultimate database solution set for both the legacy and new "cloud / kubernetes" paradigms. **What do you dislike about FaircomDB?** There is nothing that I do not like about Faircom, is it simply the best **What problems is FaircomDB solving and how is that benefiting you?** FaircomDB helps form a "core engine" around any product build (be that for simple persistence / message queueing or Edge development) ### 2. As a result, speed is very good since multiple table don't have to be queried. Also, a lot of the processing is centered on the application instead of loading the server with most of the work. ### 3.
