# What are the top contact center knowledge base tools for cutting agent handle time?

I've been digging into the Contact Center Knowledge Base category for a piece I'm putting together, and handle time keeps coming up as the metric everyone actually cares about. Not "does it have a nice search bar," but does it get an agent to the right answer before the customer starts wondering if anyone's still there. Here's what stood out from the reviews I went through.

Guru keeps coming up because of its verification workflows. Reviewers say it stops outdated answers from lingering since subject matter experts have to sign off on a schedule, and the native Slack and browser integrations mean agents aren't leaving their workflow just to look something up.

Agentforce Service (formerly Salesforce Service Cloud) leans hard into AI case summaries and next step suggestions that reviewers credit with real handle time drops. A few do mention it takes real setup effort before the AI is reliable enough to trust.

Zoho Desk got called out specifically for its AI assistant summarizing long, multi-email threads automatically. One reviewer said it removed the need to manually read through history just to catch up on a ticket.

Talkdesk users kept mentioning Copilot surfacing transcripts and prior context mid-call, so agents aren't stuck fumbling for background info while someone's on the line.

Helpjuice reviewers describe it as the place people check before asking a coworker, which is basically the whole point of a knowledge base doing its job.

Has anyone actually tracked handle time before and after switching tools, or is that too hard to isolate from everything else changing at the same time? And for the AI summarization features specifically, has the accuracy held up once your content library gets big and a little messy?

We haven't done a clean before and after measurement, that's genuinely hard to isolate from everything else changing at once. What we have noticed on Guru is that agents stopped pinging a coworker in Slack every time they needed to double check something.
