"KBMax is a great software with an even better team"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Epicor CPQ?

They have a great team that will work with you to accomplish your goals. They accept customer feedback, and are efficient at closing the loop, developing the software to fit each customer individually but without losing sight of the overall product. The software itself is a quick study, allowing you to build just about anything you want. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Epicor CPQ?

When working with multiple configurators the deployment process requires some work arounds and extra communication to implement and maintain projects effectively. Communication is key no matter what the software provides but I think some enhancements to the deployment process would greatly ease the process for the team to effectively maintain and deploy configurator projects. "KBMax has been a very receptive company to work with in providing solutions to our needs. "
5/5
What do you like best about Epicor CPQ?

The KBMax team has been one of the best parts of the system. They are always willing to create examples to show another way of thinking. They have also been very willing to review code and offer guidance and solutions as necessary. Any roadblock we have encountered, they are willing to look at and determine if a change to their program is necessary. Overall they have been very receptive and responsive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Epicor CPQ?

The deployment process seems to be a bit cumbersome for our needs. The inability to select which configurators get deployed to Prod has caused our team to re-think how we would like to deploy. KBMax, however, has been great at trying to come up with a solution that will fit our needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast interactive 3D visualization for the web"
5/5
What do you like best about Epicor CPQ?

The 3D visualization on the web is very impressive in terms of speed and loading times. Running the 3D on tablets and phones works really well also without downloading an app. Works right inside my Galaxy's web browser. Setup for the 3D is also worth mentioning because you can easily upload models from SolidWorks and quickly setup the model with the administrator back end. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Epicor CPQ?

Don't really have any complaints. The 3D in KBMax can handle models much more complex in size than what we need Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great product"
5/5
What do you like best about Epicor CPQ?

The KBMAX admin tool and snap rules are top notch. I haven't seen any online 3D visualization that comes close to speed and reliability of KBMAX. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Epicor CPQ?

Haven't found anything yet. Great product and easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Programming for configuring model development"
4/5
What do you like best about Epicor CPQ?

I liked that it was quick and easy to set up. I was able to get my model captured and run basic programming to manipulate it in just a few days. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Epicor CPQ?

The worst thing to deal with in Kbmax was changing the order of outputs in the tree. This was frequently necessary to ensure that the model built correctly and to keep the outputs organized. You should be able to move more than one output feature in one move rather than dragging one at a time. You should also be able to copy and paste within the outputs. "Reliable, flexible, with great support."
4.5/5
What do you like best about Epicor CPQ?

The drag-and-drop interface lets a much larger group of people specify our products... people who may not know all the business rules of what-can-connect-to-what. With those rules coded into KBMax, we can focus more on what we want, and less on "are we allowed to do that?" Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Epicor CPQ?

Some people didn't like how the system requires Silverlight (a web add-on, like Adobe Flash). It would be nice if it didn't require this other software. Our company allows Silverlight, but maybe some other large enterprise-level customers would struggle with another piece of software installed on their user's workstations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Kris Goldhair of Epicor CPQ

Hi Kirk,

Thanks for the informative review. KBMax V3 does not require the silverlight plugin and also features our 3D UI for the ultimate in product visualization. It's set for release later this year.

Cheers,

Kris

"Great company to work with, fully customizable product"
5/5
What do you like best about Epicor CPQ?

Fully customizable, great product support. Serves the needs of our staff, customers and engineers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Epicor CPQ?

Can be slow to generate PDF files. Sometimes network communication between servers gets slow/lost (this is probably more our company's problem than KBmax). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Epicor CPQ?

I prefer the possibility to use the configurator online with regular updates and the ability to work live on the cloud, saving new projects in the database and building them even after a medium/long period. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Epicor CPQ?

I dislike the period during which there are updates on the cloud, making it impossible to work on new projects and build them. I also dislike the period when there is a low internet connection, making it impossible to use the configurator at its best. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Design Automation on the cloud"
4/5
What do you like best about Epicor CPQ?

Automation to make the work faster and with less errors.... and fabrication got lot more easier when compared earlier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Epicor CPQ?

Too much slow need to improve a lot, and it cannot build all the products still under process full implementation not been done. Speed with which it builds the product and very slow at entering the values... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
