"Enscape for SketchUp: The Perfect Balance of Speed and Simplicity"
What do you like best about Enscape 3D?

Real-Time Rendering: Enscape operates directly within SketchUp. Any change you make to your 3D model is instantly reflected in the rendering window, eliminating the need for constant exporting.

Ease of Use: It has a very shallow learning curve. You don’t need to be a visualization expert to produce high-quality images; the default settings are often "good to go."

Extensive Asset Library: It comes with thousands of high-quality, ready-to-use 3D models (trees, people, furniture, vehicles) that are optimized for performance and don't slow down SketchUp. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Enscape 3D?

Limited Customization (The "Enscape Look"): Because it is designed for speed, it lacks the deep, granular control found in engines like V-Ray or Corona. This often results in a specific "Enscape style" that can look less artistic or unique.

Heavy Hardware Requirements: Although it’s fast, it relies heavily on the Graphics Card (GPU). If you don't have a high-end NVIDIA or AMD card, you will experience significant lag or crashes.

Lack of Advanced Lighting Tools: It struggles with complex interior lighting scenarios or caustic effects (light refraction through glass/water) compared to high-end offline renderers.

Limited Post-Processing: While it has some basic color grading, you often need external software (like Photoshop) to achieve a truly professional, "photorealistic" finish.

Mac Performance Issues: Although Enscape is now available for Mac, the performance and feature set have historically lagged behind the Windows version, especially on non-M-series chips. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Enscape 3D for SketchUp - Architectural Renderings"
What do you like best about Enscape 3D?

Enscape has provided our team with the ability to produce realistic renderings on a scale unlike anything we had previously used or dealt with. Our design drafts consisted of images straight from SketchUp or Revit and really lacked the polished and finished look that Enscape quickly delivers with ease at the push of a button. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Enscape 3D?

The one thing I personally dislike the most about Enscape is that single lines across faces do not come through in the rendering. For me, this makes things like score lines somewhat tedious to draw if you want them to appear in the render. I believe this might be a SketchUp -> Enscape issue so with other programs, the experience and results might differ. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from dijana boshkova of Enscape 3D

Hi Matthew, thank you for the detailed review! We’re glad to hear that Enscape helps your team move beyond flat drawings and present projects in a more engaging format that clients can explore with confidence.

We also appreciate your feedback on how certain SketchUp elements translate into renders, as input like this helps guide ongoing improvements. Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience!

"Visualizing Architecture in Real-Time with Ease"
What do you like best about Enscape 3D?

WE use Enscape 3D for architecture projects and BIM models, and really appreciate the ability to visualize concepts in real time. It allows us to make decisions earlier and more consciously about ideas. WE like the continuous visual feedback it provides, as it helps us feel what's going to happen to our projects concerning sunlight, lighting and materials behavior. Also, the initial setup of Enscape 3D was super easy and intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Enscape 3D?

Although integration is a key point to Enscape 3D because it works as a plugin, its window should be able to fuse with our authoring tool (Archicad) for us to always use it. Enscape also needs more modes for conceptual phases and let reality come in later. BIM data needs to have some use, because nowadays it's just there... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Enhances Client Visualization with Real-Time 3D Rendering"
What do you like best about Enscape 3D?

I love the real-time rendering in Enscape 3D because it makes design changes instant and lets clients see updates live, making the whole process smooth and interactive. It really helps me in showing clients their space clearly so they understand the design better, saving time and avoiding misunderstandings. I use Enscape 3D for creating stunning real-time 3D rendering and visualization of interior designs, which makes it an amazing tool for presenting designs to clients, allowing them to visualize spaces and make informed decisions. It also integrates smoothly with Revit and SketchUp, which makes my design process more efficient. The initial setup is very easy, and it integrates with my software, getting me up and running in no time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Enscape 3D?

Sometimes it's slow on my computer and editing tools are limited. I need more advanced texture editing and objects control options in Enscape 3D. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Real-Time Rendering Excellence with Room for Material Library Growth"
What do you like best about Enscape 3D?

I use Enscape 3D for real-time rendering and visualization, which helps create realistic images, walkthroughs, and presentations. This makes it easy for clients to understand design concepts. I love how its real-time rendering and efficiency make managing and presenting large-scale retail rollouts consistent and fast. The asset library ensures consistency across retail locations, and the visual editor helps set scenes differently for interior and exterior spaces, which speeds up design decisions. Setting it up was very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Enscape 3D?

The overall material library seems limited. It would be nice to have a collaborative platform. I would like self-illuminating light fixtures or light sources that could be used in the model as per space needs because it is not as accurate as needed through the modeling software or as per visual needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Martina Heinzle of Enscape 3D

Hi Athira, thank you for the review!

We’re glad to hear that Enscape serves you well with its real-time rendering and asset library making large-scale retail rollouts consistent and fast. Reading also about the easy set up and how it speeds up design decisions makes us proud.

We appreciate your feedback about the material library and self-illuminating light fixtures and will be happy to pass that along to our product teams. Meanwhile, we encourage you to explore the AI Material Generator which could be one way to expand on the given materials in Cosmos.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience.

"Effortless Real-Time Rendering with Seamless Revit Integration"
What do you like best about Enscape 3D?

I really like the real-time rendering and direct integration with Revit in Enscape 3D, which allows me to easily modify my models and see immediate results. This makes it easy to create and export virtual models and 3D renders. I also appreciate being able to get nice-looking image renders of my projects. The user interface is intuitive, and everything works fine. It's the fastest and easiest way to get visualizations if you are working with Revit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Enscape 3D?

I think Enscape 3D needs a larger library for components. Also, a problem is the lack of moving objects. Other platforms like Twinmotion, Lumion, Unreal Engine, or Unity allow creating moving cars, people, and other dynamic elements, but Enscape doesn't have this option. This can lead to issues because clients often want to see movement in the projects. Plus, rendering or simulating how the building is created based on parameters or phases would be helpful to increase the efficiency of our presentations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast and High-Quality Rendering Made Easy with Enscape"
What do you like best about Enscape 3D?

Enscape offers a very user-friendly interface that makes it easy to learn and use. During installation, I experienced a minor issue, but their customer support was quick and efficient in resolving it. One of the features I value most is its seamless integration with SketchUp, which significantly speeds up my workflow and makes it a tool I use on a daily basis. In addition, the ability to add assets and materials not only through Enscape but also directly from SketchUp enhances its versatility. Overall, with its ease of integration, variety of features, and strong customer support, Enscape has made my design process much more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Enscape 3D?

I don't think the artificial intelligence part is sufficient. In addition, it's ridiculous for ai to have its own website. It needs to be resolved within the application and integrated better. Because what makes Enscape valuable is its fast and high-quality rendering. Lagging behind in ai will be a problem in this regard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Empowering Design with Quick Visuals and Ease of Use"
What do you like best about Enscape 3D?

I use Enscape 3D to create 3D visuals as an interior architect, and it really helps my clients visualize their projects. I love its ease of use, which allows quick turnarounds at every stage of the design process, from initial sketches to complete concepts. Enscape 3D provides my clients with 3D imagery that offers a better idea of the project's progression and design, helping them make timely decisions and save money during construction. I've tried several programs before, but Enscape's easy-to-use interface sold it to us. The initial setup was also very simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Enscape 3D?

The visual setting could allow for a more finely tuned output, and I would like to have further control. More weather settings would be great, like some rain or snow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast, Intuitive, But Needs More Material Choices"
What do you like best about Enscape 3D?

I love just the easiness of Enscape 3D. It's quick to get images out, update, and change things. I love how easy it is to add materials and assets, and to move things around. The integration with Rhino is something I really appreciate. Enscape 3D makes my processes incredibly quick, allowing me to do design iterations in no time. It means I can quickly update things in Rhino and perform numerous design iterations for my clients. Additionally, I find the setup to be very easy, and all the updates work very well and quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Enscape 3D?

I think the rendering of section cuts in Enscape 3D is one of the main issues because the lighting isn't good, especially with clipping planes in Rhino. It has difficulty illuminating the interiors of my buildings. Also, I'd like a larger array of backgrounds; that'd be really useful. I think the palette materials could be improved, and having a much bigger library of materials and assets would be great since I'm always trying to make new ones myself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from dijana boshkova of Enscape 3D

Hi Louise, thank you for the detailed review! We’re glad to hear that Enscape’s ease of use, real-time visualization, and integration with Rhino help you iterate quickly and update designs efficiently. Supporting fast design iterations and smooth workflows is exactly what Enscape is built for.

We also appreciate your feedback around section cut lighting, clipping planes, backgrounds, and the material and asset library. Input like this is valuable as we continue improving the product experience. Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience!
