The automation of routing rules and state compliance items. Plus the ability of having so many items at the Admin fingertips to better facilitate our internal process as been very helpful. What problems is Emburse Expense Enterprise (formerly Chrome River Expense) solving and how is that benefiting you?

Time reduction in paper-flow; automated approvals and elimination of paper. Recently during the COVID19 pandemic, we have been able to capture all expense related to COVID through the exceptional reporting based on our additions of Activity Codes within the platform to track the items. Easy expense category add on. UPDATE 10/29/25 - Emburse assisted our need to incorporate Non-travel into our already successful Travel platform which had a major impact across our campus for consistency and user ease. Much is intuitive. AI is great, but it doesn't always work smoothly with hotel bills, although it seems to be getting better compared to a few weeks ago. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

So that the tax allocation can only be entered after an "error message" pops up. Why can't it be entered right away?

With guest entertainment, it's always terrible too. When I enter internal/external colleagues, I often have to check and uncheck some boxes until it accepts my entries without an error message. The application feels more smooth compared to earlier. Expense creation and submission is quick, and attaching receipts is very easy. I also like that the approval flow is clear and we can easily track the report status. Overall it has become more user-friendly and convenient for daily use. Sometimes the system becomes slow while opening or reviewing expense reports, especially during approvals. There are occasional loading delays which affect the experience. Taking photos of receipts and then sharing them on the platform. AI should be able to see that we are traveling and be able to categorize each charge and expedite reimbursements quickly.
