It was a very manual process with several opportunities for error. Chrome River Expense has made things easier by giving us a place to house our receipts on an ongoing basis. Being able to open up an expense report and add more receipts to it as things are charged is much easier than keeping track of receipts for the very end. I very much enjoy that I have several options to submit receipts from using the app/web portal to emailing. It seems the product is managed by people who use it as users on a regular basis, which is refreshing. **What do you dislike about Emburse Expense Enterprise (formerly Chrome River Expense)?** I can't think of a single thing that I dislike about Emburse. The product is intuitive and much easier to use than the manual Excel spreadsheets (and I personally love Excel spreadsheets). It functions, but not in the most user-friendly way. Cost of customizations is a downside. The only option to have a feature or change made without having to pay for a customization is to propose it in a "Solution Suggestion" site which is buried a little bit in the admin/help desk page and depends on other admins to navigate to, scroll all the way through to see if they want to vote for solutions. Not a bad idea in theory, but the execution means new ideas are at the bottom of a list and not likely to be voted on.
