PortPro is a TMS for container trucking and drayage fleets. It helps owners run tighter operations from order to cash in one system. Our core TMS manages operations, while PortPro AI executes on your behalf via two digital teammates: Jerry and Helen. **What do you like best about PortPro?**

Well designed software for the customer service, dispatcher, and accounting. Customization of data that works with what ever you need. The auto port information update is cutting down a lot of time and labor for the dispatcher. One dispatcher can handle many containers that old dispatching method. I could say that this is software that will cut down time and labor in all department. Ever since we used, we have been nothing but satisfied with their on line supports. Online chat tech on hand any time during operation. Love their quick respond!!!
The utmost must have software for trucking business.

A bit pricy for the higher upgrade for the many tools, including AI.

Pricing management for customer and the driver for invoicing made so easy.

**What do you like best about PortPro?**

I like how PortPro links to the port system and provides all the necessary updates to avoid demurrages and any other important fees associated with picking up the container on time. This helps us look good in front of clients and work more efficiently. I'm also thankful for Joseph Greenwell, the representative handling my account, as he has been available to jump on calls or have short meetings any time we've faced a technical issue. His support makes it easy for us to reach out when we really need help.

**What do you dislike about PortPro?**

The training schedule was very limited, only 2 times per week, and the training sessions were very short. We didn't get deep training on what the system does. There are still features we are not using because either they don't work or we haven't learned how to use them. The initial onboarding experience was complicated due to scheduling based on a very limited availability of the representative, making it hard to solve technical issues quickly to avoid operational disruptions.

PortPro helps me operate with fewer employees and provides all necessary updates to avoid demurrages and fees, linking to the port system. This efficiency allows us to work better and enhance client satisfaction.

**What do you like best about PortPro?**

I love how PortPro makes everything efficient and effortless. It's great to have everything I need as a dispatcher under one program. The appointment scheduling tool is my favorite feature; it gives me more time with my family on the weekends as I no longer spend hours scheduling appointments on Sundays for Mondays. Additionally, PortPro made things much easier than my past experiences with other TMS software. The initial setup was simple, thanks to Victor's amazing job setting us up for success.

**What do you dislike about PortPro?**

We have partner carriers that we input their information into PortPro for billing purposes, having to close out each leg manually drags. If PortPro could implement a function where this can be done all in one shot it would make their system that much better.

**What problems is PortPro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PortPro makes everything efficient and effortless. I have everything I need as a dispatcher under one program. The appointment scheduling tool is my favorite feature, giving me more time with family by not spending hours scheduling appointments on Sundays for Mondays.

**What do you like best about PortPro?**

I like the UI and the constant changes they are making to get the product in better shape. i also like the integrations with softwares like samsara and Quickbooks. the learning curve is also not steep and you can learn to use it pretty easily.

**What do you dislike about PortPro?**

At times, certain features do not function as expected, and the resolution time for support tickets could be improved. they should also improve and update their api integration functionalities to update multiple bills at a time. make mass changes in expenses that are added to loads etc

**What problems is PortPro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Portpro is helping me take a wholistic view of my everyday operations. it also helps me in breaking down into the details of each load and how it tracks a load in each cycle of the load until it is completely paid out.

**What do you like best about PortPro?**

I like PortPro because the visibility it offers is great, allowing us to plan weeks in advance. The reports are easy to use and really help us plan accordingly, both for ourselves and for customers. The customer support is excellent, quickly answering any issues or questions we have when learning the new system. The web-based nature and tracking ability were key reasons for switching to PortPro from Profit Tools. The initial setup was really smooth, as we went live just 4 weeks after our first meeting.

**What do you dislike about PortPro?**

The road moves are a bit of a challenge. Would like to see trailers added as an option on the support moves and the ability to turn on location tracking for those as well.

PortPro helps track vessels, make port appointments, and provides visibility to plan weeks ahead. Running reports is straightforward, aiding planning. Customer support is excellent, resolving system questions quickly.

I really appreciate how PortPro allows us to keep our drayage operations organized, dispatch drivers, and monitor operations effectively. We enjoy the user-friendly interface the most. I greatly value being able to filter through all our containers to find exactly what I'm looking for. I also love the AI integration with our Google spreadsheets. The initial setup of PortPro was very straightforward, and the team was very helpful to us.

Port Pro excels at securing empty pick-up appointments at the terminal. Our clients can easily stay informed about all of their shipments, as automatic notifications are sent to keep them updated from the moment a pickup is scheduled at the terminal until the shipment is completed. I highly recommend this service.

I can't think of any reason to dislike PORT PRO. They consistently release new updates that keep improving the system.

The process of booking appointments at both the terminals and the warehouse has become much more streamlined, which makes dispatching drivers significantly easier.

Job-Costing was virtually impossible through our old TMS.   This is vital to understand exactly how much profit you are making.

PortPro is a software where assistance is essentially immediate. I really enjoy how they check up on you with various emails, phone calls and live chats.

**What do you dislike about PortPro?**

Our company was accustomed to some features that were helpful with our old software provider. We lost some of those features PortPro isn't willing or ready or able to duplicate. We did gain new features we never had so it somewhat balances out.

I'm able to track drivers instantly using the tracking tab. I can also create spreadsheet so easily for whatever the customer requests for various reports, something that would have taken an hour now takes minutes.

The two major upsides for Port Pro for us has been the automatic retrieval of the J1 gate tickets and the AI order entry.

We have not experienced any downsides as of yet. We are having some issues with integrations with the CSX, but am confident they will be fixed.

It has an easier interface and is web based. That makes it easier to push out to all the departments in our company. Port Pro automates some manual tasks that will keep us from adding extra office payroll.

**What do you like best about PortPro?**

Container management blows every other platform out of the water. We are able to view our entire container board and track shipments and dispatch efficiently.

**What do you dislike about PortPro?**

There are still a few things in development that limit our complete transition. We have to use two driver apps to maintain our fleet, that is Samsara and PortPro. The integration has not been seamless and seem to be still under development. This is possibly the biggest hang up that causes many issues like getting documents from the drivers in a timely manor, or proper time tracking between routes.

PortPro solves our container management. This allows us and our clients complete visibility to appointments, LFDs, terminal locations, automated DO's and much more.

Very modern user interface. Easy to learn. The mobile app eliminates the use of paper. Very flexible customer pricing considering location, status, and any variable. Very easy payroll and invoicing.

Even though it integrates with ELD like samsara, the real-time tracking still not so reliable because it depends on driver perfect input.

**What do you like best about PortPro?**

Its up-to-date user interface makes it possible to continuously develop/improve as markets and regulations change. PortPro’s structure allows us to take advantage not only of within platform extended but also of external sources through integrated connections.
After using various TMS’ and reviewing others in consideration for this upgrade, it helps “Port” Pro is heavily set up or drayage operation while some TMS’ aren’t designed for shipping containers, and many have been badly adapted to accommodate drayage producing a clunky product that doesn’t entirely make sense.    PortPro makes sense.   In the 1+ month we’ve gone live with PortPro, and during preparations before that, we’ve already seen numerous improvements showing active attention and development toward clients' requests.    
We’ve used Support very few times, partly just to test it, nothing’s been neglected with is always great.

**What do you dislike about PortPro?**

PortPro may have grown faster than it was prepared for, we’ve seen surprising and questionable details in data management we didn’t expect.  I won’t list any since considering the adjustments we’ve already seen, some items may be corrected by the time I press Submit on this review! But to be fair the platform is not absent of oddities it can use improvements on, some improvements we already know are underway.

**What problems is PortPro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overall permitting for volume growth without having to increase staff-related costs.   
Accuracy in data processing: As our varying teams become more fluent with PortPro’s user interface, they’ve been able to spend less time processing repetitive data, and more time focusing on service.   
Automations and integrations: We can now take advantage of higher-quality client connections, customer portal, tracking options, allowing our company to confidently expand our automation efforts with our client base.

It is easy to use. User friendly interface. Planning, Invoicing and tracking all processes are done. Fees are also nominal.
Makes it possible to continuously develop/ improve as markets and regulations change.

There are some section which are cumbersome. Confusing for some users who are not experienced with domains technology. No access to customer portal

Customer Success Manager is in constant contact with our operations team.The features that the system has allows us to centralize our teams process.

initial training is like holding on to a bull. Alot of power, but little control over the direction.
Client portal requires outside personnel to figure out how to use system without assitance.

Portpro is helping keep track of just about everything that has to do with a load. It is helping us have faster response times to customer which in turn helps with our customer relationships.

It has everything a Dispatcher wants/needs all rolled into one system.

The lack of urgency when it comes to customer needs or inquiries.

**What problems is PortPro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Portpro is cuts down the time it takes to trace each container individually when it is actually working properly. I've found multiple instances where PortPro has stopped tracking several terminals and when asked to fix the issue it has still not been resolved after 3 1/2 weeks. In this industry time is money, and if I have to spend time asking them to give me access to certain features or deleting certain customers or fix the tracking for certain terminals im losing money.

Very modern interface that is very intuitive.  They are always innovating their product.  I can't fail to mention the dedicated representative that answers my call everytime I reach out or email.  When I need advanced support to learn what I am doing wrong or fix an issue I am having, she is the one who will advocate for me and escalate when needed.  Thank you Kira! Support team is very scripted.  Sometimes I feel like it takes too long to get them on the same page with me.  Too many very basic questions most of which I try to prompt by say I have done xyz but we still go through the motions.

They provide an expeirence for my customers that is world class.  This is an advantage for us from our competition because of the access my clients have to track their shipments.  Shocking because there are many carriers on the platform but most still resist giving their customers such a transparent view.  This is fine by me:-)

Tracking, planning, invoicing, it does it all with ease and will help you fight off old detention/demurrage fees with historical port records.

Pretty solid product start to finish. Could use more robust roll up reports and more AP functionality.

In early 2022, we made the decision to invest in our Drayage services in SoCal, we added trucks, chassis and yard space. That along with a solid team of drivers and office employees we set about building our customer base.
We very quickly discovered that spreadsheets and inferior out dated Drayage operating systems were not going to help us optimize our fleet and provide the level of customer service our organization is known for.
We then began to reach out to TMS providers who could help us realize our goals. This process was months long and we evaluated at least 15 different providers, at the end of the extensive review, we came to the conclusion that PortPro had the best TMS in the market. 
Since we onboarded in October we have felt like a part of the PortPro family, from integration and onboarding to live day to day operations, the professional team set up by PortPro leadership helped us connect automated tracking for containers, plan, dispatch and execute with real time tracking, go paperless to complement our company ESG efforts and provide our customers with a portal for transparency.
I can confidently say, PortPro is the on the leading edge of technology for Drayage TMS systems and I highly recommend them over all market competition. Hopefully you will get Krista Nunnally to support you, she rocks!

**What do you like best about PortPro?**

The system is very user friendly, integrates with other systems seamesly, the customer portal is awesome, all customers prise the features and easy of access to documentation, invoices and costs. Customer support is really good, we can get someone on the phone, chat or email to help us out when we need something. No implementation is always perfect, however we wee able to adapt and overcome the found issues within a couple of days. We do about 1500 trips a week with 130 drivers, we have not experienced any lag or delay, driver app works good too, no complaint from their side.

**What do you dislike about PortPro?**

This is a reccomendation rather than a "dislike".... During the onboarding process we think they should send someone to be onsite at lease a few days to learn the operations of the company so they can focus the traininig on how to use the software accordingly.

Communication with the customer.... they system portal is the perfect tool to keep customers informed of the location and status of the containers and dispatched drivers. It actively helps eliminate phone calls and emails.

Talon Logistics Inc., came from a Legacy TMS provider and worked with them for over a decade. At the time, there wasn't reliable TMS systems out there. The system worked, but wasn't innovated to be align to today's technology and we never felt valued as a customer with our feedbacks. This is the reason why we went with PortPro. Not only is their technology is edge cutting, but they are always willing to innovate to make their system better. They take our feedbacks seriously and tailor to our needs. In addition, they come up with new solutions that benefits the user to make it easy to use. Implementation was simple and intregration was as well. I love the customer support they provide. PortPro is a crucial piece to our success and selling point to provide value add to our customers. It's very easy on dispatch side and more user friendly in documentation side than our privious platform.
Customer Support is very helpful and easy to reach, we used to wait on the phone for minutes, and send emails repetedly. We never experienced anything like that since we switched. 
We love automated save. We don't need to manually select save or use any button
There are many useful pages for all functions.

There are too many functions and pages, some of them, we are not using actively. It's a part related to us and a part related to lack of knowledge on those specific areas.
We are not giving access to our customers since the ones that we have provided access with are not using them. But still we need to come up with fake inofrmation to set up new customers.

I like how it is easy to dispatch a load to the driver app.  I like how its a web app so i can use it from my phone.  I like how I can filter loads by dropped at customer or yard or that I can see only the dispatched loads.  The support team is great and very responsive.

**What do you dislike about PortPro?**

Chassis tracking still doesn't  fully work and there is still no way to move a chassis independently which isn't the end of the world, but there is also no way to dismount a container off a chassis and then mount the same container on a new chassis which is something we do all the time.  A company focused on drayage should have at least the most basic equipment tracking for the industry and drayOS just skipped some steps.  

I also can't stand that on the load board I can search by customer name, but not the name of the consignee.

UPDATE 1/08/24:  container dismounts have finally been added, but still no chassis tracking from load to load.   Would love to see more customizability of documents. And would also love to see the consignee phone number as a field option.

**What problems is PortPro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It lets us dispatch loads to drivers and bill out loads.  One of the main selling points was the automatic order entry, but it really doesnt save much time and its easier 99% of the time to just manually enter orders.  It does make sending out the billing easier, but the dynamic pricing never worked quite right for us so in the long run it hasn't saved that much time.

I like the modern feel and accessibility of everything in drayOS. I think that the product is fresh and exciting and easy for people to understand how to use. It seems much better than some of the older software geared toward TL shipments and not intermodal.

I think that the financial aspect of drayOS could be built out to be way more robust. I think there are many small tweaks that need to be made, but I feel as though the PortPro team is welcoming to feedback and is willing to consider making the suggested changes that are given to them to improve the product.

DrayOS solves many of our intermodal shipping issues since our old system was built primarily for TL and LTL shipments only. Time shall tell how much our business has improved while using drayOS. I think it is cutting out a lot of previous workarounds we had.
