I also like the intelligent data capture, which lets us scan, email, or snap photos of clients’ receipts and invoices through the mobile app. It automates manual data entry and saves us time, is HMRC compliant, and provides real-time insights into clients’ cash flow and spending. Statement extraction from UK banks can be hit and miss, and the PDFs can be unreliable. Customer support response times are also too slow; it can take up to 48 hours to receive a reply, which isn’t acceptable when we have urgent bookkeeping queries. What problems is Dext solving and how is that benefiting you? It’s saving us a lot of time through automated document retrieval using the “fetch” feature. We also have seamless reconciliations because it automatically matches processed documents with transactions in our bank feed, especially since it’s integrated with our Xero platform. Another key benefit is that it’s HMRC-compliant for MTD, and we particularly like that it sends automated reminders to our clients, which reduces the need for us to constantly chase them for missing paperwork.
