The onboarding process isn't great, and I think they should provide more material for new users. I like the quality of the transcripts in Spanish and that I can share it with the students. There are also many editing options to improve it. Being able to export it is also a very good point. It has really helped my students improve their speaking because they can check which words they are not pronouncing well but also, once they look at the transcript, can really check their grammar and plan ahead for future assessments. It is really hard to provide specific speaking feedback to the students once the activity is over. With Descript, students can listen to their own recordings and can read what they have said. It really helps them realise where they need to improve. Sometimes is pronunciation, so they highlight the words Descript couldn't understand and practice saying them. Other times is lack of grammar or sentence structure. In that case, I use the transcripts and have them rewrite it as if it was a writing assessment.
