I think the recording studio for virtual interviews could use some improvements. We work in highly regulated and compliance heavy organizations where there are a lot of technology firewalls and the industry thoughts leaders are typically older and not tech savy.

This is an amazing app. It’s easy to use, and the integration was beyond my expectations. The video performance was better than I had imagined. As for pricing, I’m currently on a free account, but I’m sure I’ll upgrade. I didn’t need live support because the system provided great instructions that were clear and easy to understand. I think Descript is really cool and easy to use. I'm a fan of the recording feature and all of the effects it provides. The suggestions, including translation, are really cool features. The effects and suggestions are really quickly present inside the app, making it very easy to use. Whether I want to apply a particular effect or do some rough cuts for my podcast, it's all accessible from a simple drop-down. I think probably on the web platform, maybe. So, you know, we're trying to record some stuff. Right? So I can't move the camera around. Think that's a big it's a little turn off. I use Descript to create tutorial videos for our SaaS platform and I appreciate how easy it is to get started, especially for simple projects. The AI voiceover feature is really helpful, as it generates voiceovers directly from text. I also like that I can create my own AI speaker based on my own voice, which brings the whole project to life and adds a personal touch. The initial setup of Descript was very easy as well. Editing is not as simple as I'd hope – things are hidden and the timeline is locked so it's not so easy to make edits to pause things or zoom in. I'd expect AI to be able to zoom in on the appropriate element in the video based on the voiceover. It's not intuitive at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
