**What do you like best about Dentrix?**

Very user friendly dental software, current office just acquired this software from previously using softdent. Staff was able to learn the software in a week! 

**What do you dislike about Dentrix?**

It takes a lot of different buttons to get to one page should have more shortcuts 

**Recommendations to others considering Dentrix:**

I would 100% recommend this software as opposed to the others on the market Especially for those hiring new employees that are unfamiliar with dental softwares since it’s so user friendly.

We use it daily to keep track of our days/ patients/ production/ collection etc 
It’s the easiest software to use compared to others on the market

**What do you like best about Dentrix?**

Dentrix helps aid front of office in serving the back of the office by updating and reviewing patient charts, generating treatment plans, and printing prescriptions. Dental practices can benefit from using this by keeping record of patient files, seeing charts, and keeping family members all together and flowing through members easy.

**What do you dislike about Dentrix?**

The look of dentrix seems very old school and not keeping up with todays technology. Hate the abbreviations for scheduling purposes

**Recommendations to others considering Dentrix:**

Dentrix is a very useful tool, but have someone walk through new people on how to navigate

**What problems is Dentrix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Health Historys were easy to find for each patient. Scheduling was easy and could see when the patients last appointment was and details of the appointment in less than 30 seconds.  Communication made easier with front office and back office

**What do you like best about Dentrix?**

The chart is color coded (completed treatment, existing & proposed) which makes it easy to read just by looking at the chart. Giving more than one option to the patient is also easy to use. I like that the tooth chart prints with the treatment plans, this makes it easy to explain to the patients. 

**What do you dislike about Dentrix?**

They have so many reports and some reports say close to the same things.  Our office had a hard time deciding which reports were right for our office. Even with discussing the reporting with our Dentrix rep we didn't know if the reports we were using were accurate. 

**What problems is Dentrix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Any issues/questions we had we called customer service. They are always willing to help.

The billing statements are not easy to understand and no option to edit format

Make sure you know all the features and services that you want/need and if you are willing/wanting to pay for any of the a la carte features.

I like best that if I make a mistake and put xrays on someone else’s account the ease of moving them compared to other programs is greatly!

**What do you dislike about Dentrix?**

I have no complaints with Dentrix , except sometimes it can get overwhelming, the amount of windows you have to open and if it could be combined somehow it would be easier.

Not much in problem solving but the benefits of having everything you need about a patient is right at your fingertips.

**What do you like best about Dentrix?**

It is user friendly and integrates well with Dexis software. The perio charting features are some of the best I have seen and it's helpful to explain perio conditions to patients. The graphs and comparison features are great for patient motivation as well. 

**What do you dislike about Dentrix?**

It can tend to run a little slow and the time clock feature doesn't tend to open up right away. This can be frustrating for back office employees

This has been the best software I have seen in the dental field

**What problems is Dentrix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Patient charts and alerts and easy to enter and makes office-wide communication much quicker. We are able to relay messages from the front office to back office without needing to walk to the front. In a large practice, this saves so much time.

Easy to learn. Great patient education videos and imaging software

The large practice I worked at had 7+ computers on the server and Dentrix crashed a lot.

No problem solving, just using it to manage dental practice.

I like that it’s made for dental, but I’m in ortho and it is not an ortho software at all. It’s easy to navigate through, but can be confusing since it’s not made for ortho

That it’s bit an ortho software so it can be confusing

Lots of features make it a nice and organized system. From scheduling to managing lab cases it’s a very well rounded system. The icons across the top of the main page make it easy to navigate where you want to go to view the feature or information you are looking for. 

**What do you dislike about Dentrix?**

If you have not used Dentrix before it is not instantly user friendly. It takes a little getting used to.

We manage daily production and schedule to that production goal and if we have not scheduled to what our goal is we can see that at a quick glance to adjust daily accordingly by filling emergency patients in or redirecting treatment planned to meet business goals.

**What do you like best about Dentrix?**

The best parts about this software lie within the ease at which it is for an employee to sit down an learn how to use it. In addition, the layout is designed to be easily navigated through which is necessary in my line of work.


**What do you dislike about Dentrix?**

I don’t find many aspects of this software that I dislike. If I could change one thing it would just be something materialistic such as changing the colors used for the interface display because it tends to be boring

**What problems is Dentrix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Eliminating the need to keep every patient record in a physical file and moving them into a system that is easy to use and navigate through. I’ve noticed wait times being cut as well as many small errors that could have been prevented before are now able to be.

This software is very intuitive and easy to use. I like all of the shortcut icons. I also like how quickly you can pull up a patient’s future appt. when they are on the phone or standing in front of you.

Sometimes, with upgrades, they make changes that don’t fit our practice needs. It would be great if these options were customizable.

Try it out-it’s the best software on the market for dental practices.

Dentrix keeps patient information very organized. Scheduling multiple providers is easy as well.

I love that this program is very user friendly and very customizable. Your able to tailor it'll the program to the way your company likes things to be done and customize

Updates can be hard to figure out at times. I find that when switching between screens it tends to freeze up and restart before it will open up.

The practice is able to run smoothly and relatively flawlessly with this program.

**What do you like best about Dentrix?**

By far my favorite software for a dental office. There is so much you can do with this platform but it’s super user friendly. The design is clean and everything is easily accesible from the dash screen after signing in. If your an admin- putting locks on certain commands is super easy if you are wanting to handle this and not the rest of the team. Wouldn’t go back to any of software.

**What do you dislike about Dentrix?**

Almost nothing. There are sometimes a fee glitches but as long as you are up to date with the updates you shouldnt have any issues.

Everything. From schedules to financial collections we can get everything done on this platform.

**What do you like best about Dentrix?**

I like how easy it is to use. Very easy to get used to how it runs. Training new staff on the program goes over pretty well.

**What do you dislike about Dentrix?**

Dentrix is definitely the most used practice management software, however there are others out there and there is always something that a different program allows you to do but this one doesn't. Not to get specific but there's usually something we would like differently in the patient chart section. You can always make suggestions, but that doesn't mean the change will be implemented 

**What problems is Dentrix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's mostly glitches in they system or compatibility with a windows update. Most of time you can chat with support and it is typically fixed fairly fast.

I liked that I could switch from my schedule to another office schedule. It was easy to schedule patients in other offices if they needed to go there instead.

**What do you dislike about Dentrix?**

I disliked that you asks you a lot of question before you can proceed to your next task. Every little thing has a box and must be filled in if not it will not let you go any further. It was not ideal when we were busy.

**Recommendations to others considering Dentrix:**

It is a good software overall. It is complicated at first and you will get frustrated but that is normal when learning new software. 

**What problems is Dentrix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was very slow and would freeze since we had 15 offices on one server. It would come right back up when our IT DEPT. would fix the problem.

My favorite part about Dentrix is the note charting. I love how you can program the notes with predetermined answers - it makes charting a lot faster and overall helps with time management between patients.

**What do you dislike about Dentrix?**

The navigation could use some work - there's a lot of exiting out of windows to get to another part of the software like the perio exam or dental chart.

Time management is huge - we have more time to spend with patients since notes are so much faster and easier to complete.

I like how easy scheduling is for our patients.

I wish I could see who touched an appointment last based on individual log in (like with Open Dental or Dentrix). It's just helpful to hold accountability should there be any mistakes.

It helps keep the business organized in knowing who we're seeing, for what, and when.

I love how user friendly Dentrix is, especially when it comes to the hot buttons for treatment planning. Also like how notes can be saved and inputted easily. Dentrix has been one of the most user friendly dental softwares I have used.

Dentrix can sometimes freeze on you when you need it most!

The best thing about Dentrix is that it is user friendly and easy to learn. It is also nice that there are multiple different ways to do the same thing.

**What do you dislike about Dentrix?**

I dislike that it does not automatically tell you where account balances come from.

**What problems is Dentrix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving accounts receivable and insurance issues with Dentrix. We LOVE that it has “handshake agreements” and financial arrangements that calculate monthly payments etc.

Sometimes it does lag a bit but we do have high volume practice.

**What do you like best about Dentrix?**

The chart contains everything you need for your dental practice, and there are some very basic reporting tools that you can use to understand your patient base and track your AR.  It integrates well with Dexis and most other imaging programs.

**What do you dislike about Dentrix?**

Easy Dental is clunky and slow.  Support hold times are also incredibly long.  Windows 7 doesn't play well with Server 2012 and Easy Dental, as long lag times are pretty common when going through the chart.  If you have all new computers and the latest version of Easy Dental, there's not much slowness, but on systems that worked fine a couple years ago we're seeing a lot of network slowdowns.

Look at the wide variety of practice management softwares that are available to you.  There are many options.

Easy Dental is practice management software for dentists.  It holds your database and allows employees to check in patients, review notes, etc.

Sends out reminders via text, email. Scheduling is easy. Eclaims is easy. Website is severely lacking 🙄

Website is lacking many aspects and customer service can't help.

 Overall Dentrix is easy to navigate and practical for all aspects in our dental  office.

 Having  to contact dentrix with a default computer error. But very quick to resolve the problem.

The ease of the program. It is so easy to train new team members to use Dentrix. They have set up the system to look similar to what apps are like now so it is easy to find your way through. Plus the online help/training videos and step by step guides are amazing for team members to learn on.

they could bundle more options together so that it isn't as many fees

**What do you like best about Dentrix?**

I like this software because there are more ways than one to use and apply  administrative information and patient care information including charts. I also use the graphs for productivity for staff and patients. The entire program is easy to use, has all that is needed for any aspects of dental practice and devices it per provider. Good to keep up with who is a high producer in an office.

**What do you dislike about Dentrix?**

You have to go into the bowels of the system to change anything and have to have several windows open to get a task done. Time consuming.

There is a learning curve but once you get how the program works, the program is easy and make administration life less stressfull

I love the ability to engage in optimal scheduling and really getting my providers to meet and exceed their daily goals. The ease of sending insurance claims is absolutely priceless. I love the ability to go from treatment planning to scheduling in a few swift clicks. It's so super user friendly.

Currently, there is not one thing I dislike.

The updates throughout the years have only made it better try and never go more than 3-5 years after a new version cause support begins to not be as good

I enjoy the user friendly interface, the X-ray system. Patient info is easily accessible. Generating reports is great as well

I don’t like the fact that when you click on a claim, the corresponding procedures don’t get highlighted.

Just be aware that the accounts screen won’t be as organized as you want it to be.

**What do you like best about Dentrix?**

I use dentrix in and out everyday as a dental hygienist. What i like beat about dentrix is the ease accesaebility to pts charts. The lay out of how the day looks like really helps me out to plan for a better productive day.

**What do you dislike about Dentrix?**

There are a couple of minor details that would increase the fluidity user interface if they get fixed. 1. The medication list OFTEN lacks the certain med that the pt is takingnn that needs to ve updated regularly ro include a wider variety. You can add a medication but need an over ride of a Dr or a manager and during a busy day that can be hard. 2. If a medication is listed under other because its not available, itll say other instead of the name if the med when its listed in the note. 3. While writing notes the program does not let you access anything else like the med list or the perip chart with out exisitng the notes window.

If making a switch in software, give enough time for employees to train.

I don't like that most tools require a new Window to open.  Other software I've used have tabs within the same window they use.

I would recommend but beware of the issues that pop up when you update the software.

I like having the icon pallate for charting and treatment planning. Our office sometimes utilizes temp assistants and dentists and it makes it easy for them to just jump right in.

**What do you dislike about Dentrix?**

Working in a health center we have quality measures we have to research quarterly such as sealant and fluoride placement, there is not a way to randomize charts with all the parameters needed.

**Recommendations to others considering Dentrix:**

Great software that is easy to use if you do not need to run reports for quality measures. Scheduling and charting can me maintained all in one program.
