The tool gives a comprehensive view of all differences between MySQL database schemas, generates clear and accurate SQL synchronization script that can be used to update database schema. Compare tasks for MySQL schemas can be scheduled using command line interface.

**What do you like best about dbForge Schema Compare for MySQL?**

Schema compare's two best features are the ability to customize and share comparison files and run comparisons via command line, so they can be integrated into your pipeline. We use it to make our schema changes part of our source code and deploy along side code changes.

**What do you dislike about dbForge Schema Compare for MySQL?**

The diff viewer in Schema compare is not intuitive. Once you look at it, it makes sense, but the highlights of additions/removals don't really translate well to the directional sync view the application uses.

**Recommendations to others considering dbForge Schema Compare for MySQL:**

Check out some of the command line options and consider storing your comparison files in your code repo.

**What problems is dbForge Schema Compare for MySQL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a large database schema which is continuing to grow and change as our software grows. Managing these changes between 4 developers and multiple environments was causing us a lot of grief. dbForge Schema Compare is one key part of our toolset that now makes these changes painless.
