**What do you like best about Salesgenie by Data Axle?**

I really like that Salesgenie by Data Axle is super simple and very user-friendly. It's able to hook up with our dialer, Kixie, so I can just click on a number on the screen, and it'll pop up. This makes it easy for us to go through a lot more leads because it integrates well with our dialer. As soon as there's a telephone number on the screen, we can click it, and it'll call directly from our Kixie dialer, which uses a local number, making it more likely for people to answer.

**What do you dislike about Salesgenie by Data Axle?**

The data when you pay or when you download it, it pretty much comes out, it's hard for us to put it on a dialer. So even if we download our credits or whatever, it just makes it more time-consuming than just calling it.

**What do you like best about Salesgenie by Data Axle?**

I like that Salesgenie by Data Axle is easy to use, allowing us to create lots of different lists of contacts quickly. The email campaign capability is handy for testing out all the emails. A really nice feature is that they credit us back for any emails that bounce. The data quality is much better compared to other platforms we've used in the past, which is why we chose them. The initial setup was very simple; we were up and running within an hour.

**What do you dislike about Salesgenie by Data Axle?**

The email campaign functionality only sends one email. We would like to be able to send an email drip sequence with a series of emails where the first one gets sent, then after a few days, a follow-up email is sent, and so on. Right now, one email is considered a campaign, which isn't very effective for us.

**What problems is Salesgenie by Data Axle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Salesgenie by Data Axle provides much better data quality than other platforms for contact information, making it easy to create different contact lists quickly. Their email campaign capability allows us to test emails, and they credit us back for bounced emails, which is nice.

I love the fantastic customer support and the levels of specificity to the data I can retrieve from Salesgenie by Data Axle. In the beginning, especially, having super prompt and great service from technical support was super important to quickly learn how to use the platform. I appreciate how the data can be niched down in literally hundreds of different ways, allowing me to get super creative with the kinds of lists I want to produce, plus the options are endless!

I like Salesgenie by Data Axle's ability to segregate names and addresses and group them by age and location. The setup was very easy for me.

**What do you dislike about Salesgenie by Data Axle?**

The number of phone numbers that were active and working was very limited. And there were very few mobile phone numbers provided.  In addition, the monthly service fee was high and downloading contact information or using the built-in email functionality costs extra.

**What problems is Salesgenie by Data Axle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Salesgenie by Data Axle to collect names and phone numbers, targeting a specific demographic for insurance purposes. I like the ability to segregate names and addresses, grouping them by age and location.  Although I didn't use the emails or physical addresses, this data could be helpful for marketing purposes.

What I like best about Salesgenie is how easy it makes targeted outreach. The platform’s filters let me build highly specific contact lists based on location, specialty, or business type, which is incredibly useful for marketing campaigns and referral outreach. It saves a lot of time compared to manual research and ensures our outreach is focused on qualified leads.

While Salesgenie is a powerful tool for building targeted lists, the data accuracy can sometimes be inconsistent — especially with smaller or newer businesses. I’ve noticed outdated contact information or missing emails occasionally, which means I still have to verify some leads manually. Improving that accuracy or adding more frequent updates would make it even more valuable.

Salesgenie solves one of my biggest challenges, finding accurate, targeted business contacts for outreach. Pinpoint targeting for our markets: Easy filters by company size/industry in Two Local counties, so we can zero in on 10–50 employee groups fast.

All-in-one outreach: Built-in list building, email/call workflows, and lead assignment—lets us run invite → RSVP → tour without juggling five tools.

Speed-to-execution: Low learning curve; we were able to stand up sequences and start booking breakfasts/after-hours tours quickly.

Great for “mine the base”: Helpful for deepening penetration at employers where we already have contracts (pull contacts, segment by site/department, re-engage).

Operational visibility: Simple dashboards and exports make it easy to update our KPI Scoreboard and track invites → tours → sign-ups.

Value for money: Strong data + outreach utility compared to heavier, pricier marketing stacks we’ve tried.

Deeper integrations: Native, tighter handoffs to Calendly/ActiveCampaign/Teams would reduce manual steps.

Sequencing/A/B depth: Would love more granular testing (subject lines, send times) and richer analytics out of the box.

LinkedIn touchpoint: Basic workflows are solid; a native LinkedIn InMail step would make multichannel cadences even better.

Salesgenie provides the convenience of both B2B and B2C capabilities within a single platform, along with built-in email creation tools and easy data downloads. The email creation process is intuitive and straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Salesgenie by Data Axle?**

Email deliverability for both B2B and B2C campaigns was below expectations. Follow-up with recipients confirmed that a significant portion of messages were filtered into spam or junk folders, resulting in limited visibility.

Additionally, while the platform positions email creation as straightforward, the current requirement to manually enter all content, without the ability to copy and paste from external documents, creates inefficiencies.

We were new users to Salesgenie with the hopes to improve our prospecting outreach, and efficiency between list generation and email deployment. We are working with our Account Manager to hopefully fix the issues we've identified.

How in depth your search can be. You can narrow it down based on company size, vertical marketing, general area- or all three. Compared to other systems, I have found the info provided is more accurate and up to date. This is a key difference maker when cold calling. You can also store info for your follow ups instead of having to move key information from Salesgenie to another system.

**What do you dislike about Salesgenie by Data Axle?**

Compared to other systems, I have no complaints. It offered to solutions to issues I had previously encountered with other sales systems.

**What problems is Salesgenie by Data Axle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accurate data- cold calls are more successful and able to focus on companies target market.  Previously, data was outdated, looked unprofessional. We couldn't focus on a "target market" because we couldn't narrow down the search enough. In addition, the time being spent moving prospects from the sales search engine to the follow up system hurt our internal ability to hit the call numbers we were looking for each week. It's been a game changer- there are no excuses.

The Buyer Intent is a game changer and allows me to prospect a little more warmly

On occasion I am led to coporate HQ data as opposed to direct POC contact info

I have a mature, market-ready product and messaging, but was missing leads. Salesgenies buyer intent provided me with leads who had searched for products similar to mine, which essentially gave me the opportunity to prospect a little warmer.

Buyer intent data is not relevant at all in my ICP.  I work with restaurants and the buyer intent data that scrapes from IP addresses is not accurate at all.  

Also new business listings are not that relevant as most of them are already established businesses so Im not getting to market nearly fast enough

Salesgenie has been a very useful tool for targeting the right leads in specific locations. The filtering options by ZIP code, industry, and homeowner details are very accurate, and the platform makes it easy to export data for outreach. It's especially helpful for local marketing and niche campaigns.

**What do you dislike about Salesgenie by Data Axle?**

Some of the data can be slightly outdated, especially with business contacts or owner information. Also, the interface could be more modern and intuitive — at times it feels a bit clunky or old-school. However, overall the core functionality works well for lead generation.

Salesgenie is helping me solve the challenge of finding qualified leads in very specific geographic areas. I wish I could select leads and have them pre-routed directly within Salesgenie, as this would streamline my workflow. Additionally, the current system bundles street addresses together messily, especially when exporting to an Excel spreadsheet. I have a telemarketing company with multiple clients that require lead generation from multiple different industries. Salesgenie allows me to pull new data lists, label the lists and modify them as needed without the need to pull the data out of Salesgenie. The one set monthly fee is a huge cost savings for my company. In addition, I can put notes on each line item as the calls are being made, just as you would in any CRM. I am technically challenged and can get very frustrated when trying to learn a new CRM but there was very little learning curve needed and the customer service rep was available at a moment’s notice whenever I needed a question answered. Honestly, I am so glad that I have found their service.

At the moment, the service works exactly as I need it to - so zero complaints.

Our account rep Brian Jorgensen is amazing. He is super nice and always very helpful. I like being able to pull consumer or business data using the Map Based Search tool. This, along with the other filters, allows us to get pretty granular in our marketing segmentation and targeting. Overall the application is easy to use. We have found several use cases: targeted marketing, customer database hygiene, and market research. There's some other cool features that are available and hope to explore some of those in the coming year.

**What do you dislike about Salesgenie by Data Axle?**

The biggest issue I've had with Salesgenie is related to data enhancement. Let's say I'm trying to do some database cleanup of existing customers. I will upload a particular list and try to purchase the data enhancement to obtain or verify email addresses. This functionality is a bit clunky. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Luckily I have a great account rep who is always helpful and responsive. On top of that they apply some pretty lame minimum pricing thresholds to this data enhancement. Not a big fan of that, especially given how much we've spend with this company over the years.

Currently, Salesgenie is used to cleanup / validate existing customer database, building targeted marketing audiences, and research new markets for potential expansion.

I like the ease of using Salesgenie.  I can easily filter and create my own lists.  The customer service is great.  Someone answers when I call and helps to resolve any issues quickly.

**What do you like best about Salesgenie by Data Axle?**

I used Salesgenie several years ago and recently revisited the platform when I needed specific business data. I was genuinely impressed by the improvements. The updated features—especially the ability to send and track emails directly within the platform—are incredibly useful. On top of that, the customer service has been outstanding, the platform is very easy to use, and the training was super helpful. Overall, a great experience!

I haven't found anything that I dislike yet.

I primarily wanted business owner data to use for email campaigns.  Not only did I get the infromation needed also learned I could run my email campaigns from the platform.

**What do you like best about Salesgenie by Data Axle?**

I was previously combing through Google, which was highly time consuming and inefficient. Salesgenie helps me save a massive amount of time and energy. I love that it offers such a wide range of options to customize my lead search. As a B2B sales agent, it is very important to be able to sort by type of business and number of employees while excluding certain types of businesses. I can find the exact leads I'm searching for. Customer service is also highly responsive. You will always be able to get in touch with someone who knows your account and not just a random call center customer support agent.

**What do you dislike about Salesgenie by Data Axle?**

I wish there was a way to write a quick note without clicking on the lead and having it open a window. I also wish there were customizable icons and color coding to better keep track of leads. There are also a lot of out of service phone numbers and businesses that no longer exist.

**What problems is Salesgenie by Data Axle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have highly specific requirements for what leads I can target due to both company and state regulations. It can be very difficult to find the exact leads I can target using only the internet. We do have company software for lead generation, but it has no customization.
