**What do you like best about Crystal?**

I use Crystal alongside LinkedIn and absolutely love the insights I get from it. What I love most about Crystal is the chart feature based on BANK personalities. It's familiar to most people and shows where someone is in relation to you, which is really important if they're polar opposites of your personality. It helps ensure that I don't expect them to react the way I would. I find it super helpful, especially when more than one person is going to be in a meeting, to take a look at how they're going to interact together. The setup was incredibly easy; basically, you just turn it on, pay, and go.

**What do you dislike about Crystal?**

I would say if there's anything that doesn't work well for me, it's the pricing. It isn't very responsive to an early-stage company. The per-seat pricing for my organization means that I'm really the only one at this juncture that can afford to have the product. I would love to be able to integrate it in for all of my salespeople and my service people as well.

I use Crystal to enhance my LinkedIn interactions. It provides insights on whether a person prefers detailed conversations or bullet points. It also helps me understand if we're opposites in personality, aiding in better communication and interaction, especially in meetings with multiple people.

So far, I haven't come across anything that I find unhelpful.

Crystal Knows addresses the challenge of "blind" communication in sales, recruiting, and collaboration by uncovering how individuals prefer to communicate and make decisions. It then translates these insights into practical advice on what to say, how to say it, and how to work effectively with others. The main issue Crystal Knows tackles is the time wasted by people trying to guess the best way to approach prospects, candidates, and colleagues, which often results in awkward conversations, low response rates, and stalled deals.

There are too few credits available in the free version. Moreover, the extension automatically launches a scan as soon as you visit a profile, even if you didn't request it.

The formulations used in emails and messages are important for clearly conveying one's ideas and maintaining professional communication. I have noticed that the choice of words and the tone used can really influence how the message is perceived by the recipient. It is therefore essential to carefully craft the writing, whether for formal or more informal exchanges, in order to avoid any misunderstandings and to foster good relationships.

These insights help me greatly when joining a new team! I can better understand how to communicate with those I am working with - shortening the learning curve. They have helpful features for crafting emails to customers and it's easy to use. The chrome integration is also very helpful.

The price per credit seems a bit high although, if you can prove it's value by winning a deal through the 5 free credits, I can see where it would be helpful. ( I was not able to do this)

It's helping me communicate better with my team! 

I would love to be able to use it to get more customer meetings but the credits don't go far enough with what it takes to learn how to use it.

I reached out to the sales team for support to make sure I got the most out of the trial and didn't get a response. I also messaged on LinkedIn and didn't get any response.

What I love most about Crystal is how spot-on the DISC profiles are for understanding client personalities. It’s like having a cheat sheet for making real connections. The tips on how to approach different types of clients—whether they need details and structure or a friendly, casual vibe—have really helped my team communicate more effectively. It’s been a game-changer in building trust right from the first interaction, especially with clients who might normally take a bit longer to warm up.

Honestly, there’s not much to dislike—it’s a solid tool. If I had to pick something, I’d say it would be nice to have more flexibility to tweak reports or insights to match our specific industry needs. Also, if it could sync directly with our CRM, that’d make it even easier to use Crystal as part of our everyday workflow.

Crystal’s been a huge help with one of our biggest challenges: figuring out the best way to connect with each client from the get-go. **What do you like best about Crystal?**

Crystal was recommeded to me by a colleague recently and I was sceptical but as soon as I tried it, I was amazed. The content is well designed and the tool works all the times I have tried it (5x now). The chrome plugin is a game changer. I almost think that this is a secret weapon that others have been using to get maximum impact from their interactions....and that is why I have not heard about it widely. I would rely on this in a job hunt and recommend it to others if they would like to know how to work with me and other people.

The $49 is alot for someone from a developing country where the exchange rate to USD is quite high. I wish there was another tier which came is more adfordable. This can pay for itself with the number of new coversions from an untapped market.

I REALLY like having something to go on for both new connections and exisiting relationships. Any time I am sending an email not a text or LinkedIn message instead of a phone call I think about what will actually get a response and how can I write a truly caring message. I feel like I can connect before I even get a reply and I enjoy crafting my messages more.

**What do you dislike about Crystal?**

I only see more product improvements from here. I would love to help Crystal integrate into the latest Generative AI tools or even add that feature. I'm crafting messages in Google AI studio that I would gladly do in Crystal with profiles in mind.

I am absolutely amazed at how accurately Crystal predicts personalities! The level of precision in its analysis left me genuinely surprised. Even though I do not post regularly on LinkedIn the App was spot-on in predicting my own personality, energizers, drainers and ways to approach me. 
The app itself is incredibly easy to use, with a clean and intuitive interface.
I highly recommend Crystal to anyone looking to gain a deeper understanding of themselves, co-workers and sales prospects.

**What do you dislike about Crystal?**

While I am impressed with Crystal's accuracy and ease of use, there are a few areas where the app could improve. One downside is that the DISC personality analysis is not explained in much detail. A more in-depth breakdown of the methodology and what each personality type entails would be incredibly helpful.

Additionally, the app focuses heavily on individual profiles, but it would be great to see more insights tailored towards marketing, such as aggregating individual profiles into a single persona.

I love how Crystal helps me understand the character of my LinkedIn contacts before I get to meet them.  This allows me to prepare for my meeting with their expectations and preferences in mind, I can tailor my plan to appeal to them on an emotional as well as a practical level.

I'd like to be able to plot the profiles of everyone in the meeting on a single chart so that I can share this with clients.
Aside from that I have found it very easy to use, very simple to install, implement and integrate into LinkedIn.  So easy I haven't required any customer support.

Crystal gives you an sense about how it will be to communicate with a person. Actually I used Crystal before going to a job interview and hey; I got the job. I have also used it on coworkers, friends or people I was going to interview for a job. It actually works.

I don´t like that they only offer one year subscription. They used to offer a monthly subscription so that's why I purchased it privately although it was expensive. As a manager in a small/medium company I don´t recruit enough people for it to pay off to invest for a year subscription.

Having a tool like Crystal really helps me see them on a deeper level quickly, and in ways I might have missed.

The profile assessments closely align with the personality insights shared with me by others after I introduced them to Crystal Knows. I strongly believe that understanding someone’s general profile can help avoid misunderstandings and make business relationships more effective and efficient, reducing the need for a lengthy 'get-to-know' process. This tool has the potential to enhance both the speed and accuracy of matching the right candidates to the right positions.

I can envision situations where someone did not put enogh thought and effort into building a profile, such as on LinkedIn.  In such cases, the profile assessments may not align as closely with the persons' natural traits.

For meetings with important new business partners, Crystal offers valuable insights into their personalities. For meetings with existing key partners, Crystal’s assessments help to understand the root of certain challenges that may have arisen. With these insights, it becomes easier to manage and overcome those challenges.

The Google extension and how quickly it provides the DISC plus the "to the point" communication tips, especially those that dynamically change with selectors, is simply priceless.

When writing emails, the recipient can be analyzed, and when the interaction in a video conference call, provide hints on how to communicate with the attendees is just amazing!

**What do you dislike about Crystal?**

Nothing really. I love the tool, and I think if I need to be critical about something, I will add a feature to analyze a group of people to advise in a group session, the predominant personality to address!

It is great for cold calling since I can vary my approach by having in advance the DIOSC type to adjust accordingly

It's given me invaluable insight into people I am trying to contact with regards buliding my business. It's helped me to develop clear, structured and relevant communication to prospects. Already it's showing me better results than my own "fly by the seat of my pants" approach. It was so easy to plug-into my LinkedIn profile, and it's also a pretty interface.

The login details can be a bit cumbersome - but I got there in the end.

I approach a number of people through LinkedIn to promote my offering. My speciality is quite niche and specific, and it helps me to explain what I do in a style that is relateable to the person recieving the message.

cost, and limited option to pay; monthly payment with flexibility to terminate anytime would be the best. If you keep customers happy we won't cancel the service.

People's personalities are so unique and thanks to Crystal i'm able to be better prepared to connect with individuals, how to strategicaly approach my interactions and how to best position my product. I'm a big fan and beleiver of DisC assessments and having access to someone's DisC position even if not 100% precise allows me to tailor my approach.

I really love how Crystal does an analysis of your character mashing all the other different personality analysis tools together (DISC, Big 5, Enneagram & Myers Briggs) . 

I also love the chrome tool where you can do an analysis of a LinkedIn profile, without needing to add them as a contact! 

The writing tool which works well with my gmail, is very interesting as it will help to craft the email on how to word your email to suit their personality type.

A great icebreaker tool as I've been recommending it to my clients, first by doing an analysis of their personality (also me, wanting to know their type too!)

Wish you'll bring back the mobile app, it stopped working after a while.

The integration for LinkedIn as i'm a business owner i know how to position my approach. the implementation of the extension was great. used the 5 predictions due to frequency of my searches

the profile of the customers, some times the startegy in sales is not considering the critical difficulty of the humans relationships , but this is escencial to know who is the people we will contact in order to right assitance with the personality of the people that can be the main responsible of the relationship. no body going to do bussines with a people who are not engaging. the bussines relationships are based in trust and clear communication, but it depence on personalities.

The tool seems quite reliable, and I find it really nice to be able to learn more to be more impactful with our prospects/potential clients. Very easy to use, very intuitive!

With only 5 credits offered, it's difficult to determine if the solution is effective and relevant in terms of business. I would say that we should be able to contact at least 20 clients to test the tool before deciding if we want to move to a higher level. Also, it's a shame that the results are not in French.

I have only had the opportunity to use the free version, which is quite limited in terms of Crystal's functionalities. Still, I find it a fascinating tool for establishing much more meaningful business and working relationships based on the traits of the people we deal with. It is really easy to use and covers a lot of aspects of personality, tastes, needs, and relationships with people.

The price is a bit expensive for small companies like mine and in countries where the average salary is not too high.

Crystal gives immediate information about the people you are approaching. Makes really a wow effect and helps a lot to adjust the way of communication to the expectations of the audience. This is a tool that have made me amazed most in a long time.

Easiness of installation is a big plus.

**What do you dislike about Crystal?**

I'm afraid the price is set too high. I could not find if there is a possibility of monthly billing but annual only. So one needs to commit for a full year and the total cost climbs above the level that would be easy to accept.

If there would be a monthly billing and perhaps the price cut to half, I wouldn't wait for a moment but place the order immediately.

Crystal helps me to know how to approach the target audience. Being brief for people who expect quick and prompt responses and more detailed for those expecting more details.

I tend to overwhelm people with too much information or second-guess whether I’m providing enough. Crystal removes all the guesswork, making client and prospect outreach so much easier and reducing my anxiety. It was incredibly simple to implement, too

Not sure yet? So far, I’m in love with it, though I might feel differently if I run into limitations as I use it more extensively. There were a few times it didn’t provide profile information, but that could be due to an internet issue.

**What do you like best about Crystal?**

I am a director level ops and analytics professional. I learned a while ago execs have different levels of interest in data and intelligence. I've used Crystal for more than three years to customize deliveries of analysis/insight based on who's in the room. The results are the results... but understanding when to vibe, when to dig, and when to pull away is important. Crystal guidance worked 100% of the time even if the personalities were only about 80% accurate. It helps with prep,reading a room, and responding to personalities. It's not a magic bullet, it's more awareness. The rest is in how you use it.

**What do you dislike about Crystal?**

It's pricey. Probably because the offering is wide, and the development required for AI integration. I'm assessing (and paying)  for more than my need which is not represented in their tiered pricing.

My colleagues recommended me this tool and I was amazed that these personal insights were for free. AND that I could check my colleagues and prospects even. Ok, only for 5 people, but it gives a great overview of how powerful this could be in our sales strategy.

It's not clear to me if I can also use Crystal to create my personal ai-driven outreach in a structured way. I wonder if now I'm still obliged to take my learnings from crystal elsewhere to start doing the copywriting exercise. Ideally, I would take the insights, press a ai-copywriting button, and copy paste it in to linkedIn. Or skip that step even, and send straight as a Linkedin Message within the Crystal platform.

I was told that it provides a view into the personality of the person you're interested in connectint with, as well as tips on how to approach them. Unfortunaately, I haven't been able to see this in action.

**What do you dislike about Crystal?**

I was unable to test out Crystal on the initial 5 profiles because the app drops you into LinkedIn on one of the profiles of the engineers or account managers working at Crystal - not the profiles on LinkedIn that I chose and was interested in reviewing.
Unfortunately, I can't say what I like or dislike about Crystal because I was not able to use it for a test period before being asked to evaluate it. I'm happy to evaluate it to get the additional profile views needed to actually test out the app, so this is not in Crystal's favor, in terms of gaining stickiness.

**What problems is Crystal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Unsure - I haven't been able to use Crystal so I can't tell what is useful or not. It was recommended by someone who'd used it early on and wanted me to explore it, but they realized that Crystal is no longer allowing the test or trial period before having to purchase.

Very useful when looking at creating teams or understanding existing teams.  Helps with collaboration.

**What do you dislike about Crystal?**

Terrible customer service experience.  We've paid $3,000 per year for several years, however due to budget deficits we had to make some hard cuts.  I had just received a notice from Crystal that my renewal would be happening soon and was required to give 30 days notice.  I reached out to them shortly after that and shared my disappointment that I had to terminate our contract with them, but hoped to return in the future.  Despite my prior year being valid for a few more days I was told that since I didn't give them 30 days notice that they couldn't cancel my account for the coming year.  Yes, I get it, it was in the contract.  But honestly, of all the things to get nit picky about.  Ultimately they allowed me to pay for 6 months, instead of a year, but suffice to say I will NOT be returning after this.  This lack of customer service makes zero sense to me.

Helps teams understand each other and how to work together better; to find value in their differences, rather than derision.

**What do you like best about Crystal?**

It is an amazing experience to write someone an email and get specific writing tips and suggestions beyond typos/spelling.

It is especially powerful when you do not know someone well. I love the help to tailor my email based on the analysis of their DISC type (e.g. be more direct, causal and friendly, brief versus putting it all out there, etc.)

The browser plugin brings this powerful service wherever you are, and the website app helped me dive deeper into people and myself.

**What do you dislike about Crystal?**

There are not many downsides that I have discovered. If the recommendations are way off base, that could be a problem! I use the free account and run into the limitations pretty quickly in my job searches, but I cant really blame them!

I have used it for sales prospecting, but today I am using it for networking and finding a new job. It is helpful for tailoring to hiring managers as well as new people I am introduced to!

The fact that it is so easy to use is incredible. It is very easy to implement it into your browser, just the click of a button and it is very accurate in the data that it give you. The features in it gives you a perfect outlook of a potential client, co-worker etc, and you can find out this data in the simplicist ways, emails, linkedin etc. I loved using the product and was able to understand myself better. Very highly reccomended

I don't think there are any downsides to the product, as it is incredibly easy to use, and when a product is this easy to use, usually there are a lot of negatives re the data and features, but they are all perfect and offer a very large range of data feeding back to you.

When I was promoted to specialist last year, I really struggled with adapting my leadership style to different team members. Some folks responded well to structure and direction, while others needed more flexibility. It was like I was constantly stepping on toes without meaning to. That's when I came across Crystal. I was impressed by how accurately it described not just my own personality traits, but those of my reports.

**What do you dislike about Crystal?**

When my manager first told me about Crystal and had me take the assessment, I was honestly kind of skeptical. It seemed a little weird to me to have an app analyze my personality, you know? But I have to admit, it was pretty spot on with the description it gave me. I started using it regularly to better understand my coworkers and it really has helped smooth over misunderstandings. That said, as useful as Crystal is, it's not perfect.

As a specialist engineer, my whole job revolves around communication.
