I need the same things I've always needed from web analytics and Crazy Egg covers all the crucial bases. Ease of use is great. I'm not a web dev and had zero issues installing it. Everything is easier to do that in GA4, and I'm probably going to roll this out to my other sites. Specifically, I'm leaving this review because I ran into an issue with goal tracking. Crazy Egg couldn't connect to my site because I'm using a basic website builder and can't update the CSP on my own. I reached out to support, and within 10 days they had implemented a fix for my problem. As a freemium customer? I was blown away. **What do you dislike about Crazy Egg?** At this point, nothing. I wish there was more of a visual funnel, but what they have is solid. **What problems is Crazy Egg solving and how is that benefiting you?** I need to do basic conversion tracking on my websites, and want to have a clear idea of the best traffic is coming from. This used to be straightforward in UA and older versions of GA, but I really hate GA4. With CE, I can log on, see exactly what's happening on my site, where traffic is coming from, bounce rate, all of the normal stuff. Implementing snapshots and A/B tests is also very easy to get into, but there are also details for more complex tasks available. You may just require some coding experience or creative thinking to get around it. The price is also very reasonable for our company compared to other competitors I searched for. Support is pretty good and even recommended a custom script to use for our site which allowed us to prevent A/B test editing on certain domains. **What do you dislike about Crazy Egg?** Support is sometimes a little slow to respond in some cases. I'm not kidding—I’ve received over 1,200 emails in the last 24 hours. Plus, Crazy Egg messed up our website search when we ran their A/B test service. I get it; our setup is complicated, and these things happen. But I reached out to their support team and haven't heard back. I also contacted them about the email spam issue and got a reply from JL, who didn't apologize but asked for an example of the email. That was the last I heard from them. Since I can't deal with this constant stream of emails, I'll have to cancel the service and set up a spam filter to stop the bombardment. I'm surprised by the absurdity of this problem and the lack of customer care, especially since Crazy Egg is co-owned by Neil Patel, a well-known figure in SEO. You'd think they would pay more attention to their customer service. They don't notify you when your trial is about to end and when you try to cancel your trial preemptively they also end your trial, hoping that you forget later. You have to explicitly track individual pages. Pages that are viewed by users aren't automatically tracked and stored, so you have to set up each page you want captured. One of our ad platforms sends out a high volume of verification traffic that carries a specific UTM tag, but unfortunately, we can't exclude that referrer, which means our scroll data is likely off. **Recommendations to others considering Crazy Egg:** This is a great platform at a price point that is easily justified. **What problems is Crazy Egg solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's allowing us to be more granular in how we evaluate what's working (or not working) on our landing pages. If i see they a large set of them are all going to one page after the landing page, then I know I need to put that information on the landing page so that I keep them engaged. I also love the A/B test but wish it were easier to make it look more in line with design and font with the site. **What do you dislike about Crazy Egg?** The A/B test. I love-hate it. I love what it can do for simple things, like changing up messaging, or hiding elements. BUT I hate how hard it is to switch out creative assets like images and have it not make the design of the site look wonky. **Recommendations to others considering Crazy Egg:** You can never stop learning or A/B testing with your customers.
