The flexibility of Craft means I can create and sync my roadmap between different systems. The, UI is intuitive and the experience is simple enough with an early learning curve to get through. I utilised the MCP which was amazing to see the early beta of that and see how it performed. The support from Craft is second to none and I massively valued the quick support in slack. As mentioned on the MCP I was able to capitalise on the MCP to work with Claude and fully utilise AI to build what I needed to with Craft supporting in the back and my own personal UI built as an artefct on the front end. Altogether Craft's performance is solid. As someone now responsible for the billing I couldn't comment on the pricing and the value for money. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Craft.io? The lack of innovation in the frontend for someone outside my org viewing the roadmap. The Launch -\> Initiative -\> Epic hierarchy gives leadership and the cross-functional stakeholders a clear view of product development and launch activities, and it has increased collaboration across teams. The flexible data model can be quickly configured to make needs and changes in approach. Additionally, Craft has helped us convert our top of funnel intake and ideas into a robust backlog. The custom views are genuinely best in class — flexible enough to present at an executive level for strategic alignment, but detailed enough underneath to support day-to-day activities. The Jira integration ties it all together, letting demand and strategy flow seamlessly into execution. Finally, the Craft Team is outstanding. The main learning curve is around setting up your taxonomy — deciding how Initiatives, Epics, and launches map to your org takes some upfront thought. I use Craft.io to create and manage features, epics, and user stories for my product management team. It helps us follow product management best practices and collaborate effectively, building products with clear prioritization and planning. Craft.io brings in a lot of discipline that was missing between the product and dev team, and the one-to-one mapping is super helpful. What I like most about Craft.io is its ease of use with out-of-the-box functionalities. It's user-friendly, meaning you don't have to be tech-savvy to learn or use the product. My team adapted to it in just one to two weeks. Another feature I like is the AI built into Craft.io, which helps me understand a feature or user story without getting deeper into the descriptions. I like the flexibility Craft.io offers in defining my own process that best fits the needs of the organisation and being able to create the views needed through each stage of the product lifecycle. The Linear integration also helps reduce friction between product and engineering and minimises the manual updates required to ensure effective customer communication on delivery. The ideas portal is also an important feature, along with the ability to create and publish roadmaps to customers. The initial setup was straightforward, with no real issues. Would be useful to be able to pull additional data across into the workspace for clear internal communications. Only Linear has an integration. Simple UI, easy to use, multiple views to suit different audiences, dedicated product management tool. Over and above that they are fantastic bunch of folks who are ready to listen and help us. What do you dislike about Craft.io? There are few features that are still controlled/ created/ edited/ managed from the backend, like creation of portfolio can only be done by them. Ideally I would prefer a tool which is more DIY by the customer themselves, so that we don't need to go back to them and make the changes ourselves. This configuration and the ability to sync across to Azure DevOps are key for us as a business; separating the backlog management in Product Management from the engineering work that takes place is very helpful. The recent addition of MCP capabilities has been especially exciting, opening the door to automated workflows, AI-powered experiences, and integrations that reduce manual effort. It's helping us build solutions where end users can self-serve information and complete tasks with minimal friction, making many processes more seamless and scalable. I love how Craft.io has become our single source of truth for product roadmaps and dependency mapping, helping break down silos across teams and making collaboration much clearer. The tool is easy to learn, flexible, and has been especially embraced by our design and UX teams, who now use it daily. What do you dislike about Craft.io? One challenge we faced was when the dependency lines feature was removed, as we had planned to use it extensively for mapping. Also, our initial setup was overwhelming because we imported all our data at once, which made it harder to iterate and experiment with the tool's capabilities. In hindsight, starting with a small sample would have been better. Some permissions (like needing to be owner to create feedback portals) can also be limiting. We use it to connect strategy to execution, and it gives visibility across exec, product, engineering, and go-to-market teams without me rebuilding the same story in five different decks. The roadmap functionality is a big win. I used to spend hours maintaining PowerPoints for different audiences. Now I can tailor views for board, leadership, or customer conversations directly in Craft and know it’s pulling from the same underlying work. That alone has saved a meaningful amount of time. I also appreciate how flexible it is. We’ve customized fields to align with our intake process, strategic pillars, and value streams, and it supports the way we think about work without forcing a rigid framework. And the Craft team has been strong partners. Our CSM has been responsive and proactive, which matters when you’re scaling product discipline in a growing organization. Getting a team to truly treat any system as the single source of truth takes repetition and reinforcement. We saw some usage drop after onboarding and I had to be intentional about tying roadmap reviews and strategic conversations back to Craft. There’s also still some workflow tuning happening on our side, especially around backlog hygiene and prioritization. Craft gives you flexibility, but that means you need to be clear about your own governance. As our product processes mature, we’re continuing to refine how we use it to support that. Before Craft, strategy lived in one place, roadmaps in PowerPoint, backlog in Jira, and executive updates somewhere else entirely. It required a lot of manual stitching to tell a coherent story from company priorities down to product work. That made alignment harder than it needed to be. Craft gives us a single place to connect strategic pillars, product themes, initiatives, and features. It helps me clearly show how our roadmap ties to company objectives and makes it easier to communicate that across executives, engineering, marketing, and customer-facing teams. The biggest benefit has been clarity and time savings. I’m spending less time recreating slides and more time actually driving prioritization and outcomes. It’s also elevated the quality of product conversations internally because we’re looking at the same source of truth instead of debating which version of a deck is current.
