"Straight-forward without the fluff"

What do you like best about Kit?

I love that Convertkit is centered on sending emails as if from a friend, without all the fancy images and fluff. I really like their new automation rules, and how easy it is to integrate with nearly every software because they are a big player. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kit?

The cost. I don't use all of the features but I feel like I'm paying for them all. I also wish that they would remind me when something isn't working or when I accidentally duplicate something and it crosses over to the next email broadcast. What do you like best about Kit?

ConvertKit is very easy to use and also very well documented, with helpful tutorial videos. Compared to Aweber, which I switched from, it is very intuitive, and email deliverability seems better too. Setting up funnels is easy and logical. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kit?

The pricing tiers can seem a little unfair. For example, I currently have just over 5000 subscribers, which pushes me onto the 8000+ pricing tier. It's a shame there's not another tier in the middle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Kit?

Tailored very much for creative types. They speak the language that people like me understand (photographer turned coach). The automation interface is so much better than the other product I've been using for the past few years (and reviewed). Their support staff is very prompt and helpful (and kind!). It feels like they try really hard to look after their customers. As soon as I joined (paid for one of the plans), I felt heard and looked after. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kit?

There are some features that I requested when they asked me about what could be improved. The email template system could be improved by allowing the template selection for automation for example. Also, what's not there (compared to other EDMs) is the ability to add smart fields against a subscriber (e.g. time/date fields for appointments etc). I got around the problem by using Zapier so it's not a deal-breaker right now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Kit:

There are dozens of email marketing programs out there. It's hard to decide which ones. For any solopreneur or a medium-size business (not yet ready to use Keap), ConvertKit is a great option in terms of cost/benefit. I didn't need all the features from Active Campaign (which was costing me in excess of $100 a month. For half the price, Convertkit gives me a better support for the features I need. What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use ConvertKit to send a weekly newsletter out to my list and I use it for lead generation (automated email sequence). Their email sequence builder is so easy to use. The automation interface is brilliant as well. Migrating from one email system to another can be super painful but Convertkit's interface made it possible to move complex automation in a day which was quite surprising. What do you like best about Kit?

What do you like best about Kit?

Convertkit's simplicity in managing contacts is what makes them stand out among other CRM. Just because it's simple doesn't mean it doesn't offer a lot of features. With Convertkit, you can manage all your subscribers as one list and group them with tags. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kit?

I don't like the opt-in forms of Convertkit. It needs to be updated. When creating a form, there are times when it's quite hard to know because the instant preview doesn't show exactly what the form looks like. What do you like best about Kit?

I liked the email design feature the most out of all the offerings, it was easy to use, intuitive, and got the job done; the UI was solid and didn't clutter things up. The other feature that I enjoyed was the landing page builder and how intuitive it was. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The thing that I disliked was the email sequencing, it was rather too simple as compared to other products out there like klaviyo. It used a drag and drop setup whereas klaviyo gives more freedom and choice with added complexity of course. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?

I was using convertkit for a client who needed to interact with his audience in a meaningful manner through emails and have them carry out behaviours on a landing page.
