## Constructor Reviews
 ### 1. Great search tool with measurable business impact and a great partner

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aaron D. | Head of Data Science - E-Commerce, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Constructor?**

We really appreciate the AI- and data-driven approach of Constructor. The system is pretty easy to use both for technical and non-technical people, integrates nicely with our IT landscape and helped us to significantly improve our search performance. It quickly became essential for our customer experience and there is an ever growing list of continuous optimizations for the upcoming months. It is great fun to plan, see and measure the impact of Constructor initiatives. On top of that, their customer support is top notch and it really feels like a strategic partnership where both parties benefit from each other. We really look forward for the next steps.

**What do you dislike about Constructor?**

The explainability of the search results is working pretty well already, but can be improved even more in the future, e.g. by showcasing the underyling rules causing certain boosts. Furthermore, being able to run more fine-granular A/B tests on search query level would be awesome.

**What problems is Constructor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were looking for a new search tool for our shop as our previous provider had various issues. With constructor, we reached significant improvements within a short period of time.

 ### 2. AI-Powered Merchandising That Learns and Scales as You Grow

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rich B. | Director, Digital Merchandising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Constructor?**

Constructor’s biggest strength is the way it combines AI and machine learning with a best-in-class digital merchandising experience. As we grow, the platform learns and improves alongside us, using real customer behavior to continuously optimize search and discovery. That blend has helped us deliver a shopping journey that feels more intuitive and relevant for customers, while also staying scalable as our needs evolve.

**What do you dislike about Constructor?**

While Constructor is extremely powerful, that depth also comes with a learning curve. It takes some upfront time and internal training to fully understand the platform and unlock all of its capabilities, especially for new users or teams that aren’t highly technical.

**What problems is Constructor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Constructor is helping us address core search and product discovery challenges by improving relevance and driving higher search conversion. It helps ensure customers find the right products more quickly, which directly impacts both conversion rate and revenue. In addition, it supports more personalized experiences, such as tailoring results based on customer inseam preferences or location, which makes browsing more efficient and improves overall customer satisfaction.

 ### 3. Advanced Search Tool for High Volume Ecomm

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Constructor?**

Helpful tool for search and category browsing, especially when working with a high volume of products and customer traffic. The results are absolutely better than anything a person or team could produce on their own with the same performance metrics.

**What do you dislike about Constructor?**

While it is rare that any major issues arise - it's challenging to get timely support. Especially when raising any concerns with performance. The team tends to deflect versus diving into the issue.

**What problems is Constructor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Constructor helps to identify what customers are looking for when shopping and show the best results and/or provide data to our team to learn where we can supplement.

 ### 4. Comprehensive E-commerce Tool with AI Power

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mimis S. | Customer Relationship Management & Personalization Specialist

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Constructor?**

There may be a few opportunities for further refinement. In some cases, the algorithm appears to take a bit longer to adapt, which can temporarily affect the relevance or completeness of the results. There also seems to be room for improvement in how transliteration between English and Greek is handled. Additionally, it would be greatly appreciated if rule changes could be applied instantly, as immediate visibility of updates would be very helpful from a usability perspective.

**What do you dislike about Constructor?**

In some cases, the algorithm might take a bit longer to adapt, which can temporarily affect the relevance or completeness of the results. Additionally, it would be greatly appreciated if rule changes could be applied instantly.

**What problems is Constructor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Constructor optimizes our website's search by using AI to show relevant results and manage rules for synonym words and searchandizing. It provides detailed analytics, offering valuable insights into user behavior and needs. This helps us improve the overall user journey.

 ### 5. Powerful tool & strong support team!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Simon W. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Constructor?**

I really like how easy and intuitive the Constructor UI is to use. The AI-driven approach is a major strength, as it continuously improves product ranking based on real user behavior. I also highly value the motivated and supportive Constructor team, which has been a great partner throughout the collaboration.

**What do you dislike about Constructor?**

The A/B testing feature can be limited for certain advanced use cases. However, with the support teams help, we have always been able to find a workable solution.

**What problems is Constructor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Constructor helps us significantly improve search and browse relevance. Its AI-powered product ranking continuously optimizes results, which has led to a measurable increase in RPV. In addition, Constructor enabled A/B testing for our business teams and provides strong analytics that deliver valuable insights into performance.

 ### 6. Smart, Machine-Learning Driven Optimization

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Doug D.

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Constructor?**

We like how Constructor's search provides better contextual matching to user queries and offers improved ranking of products. We appreciate the advanced machine-learning click-stream analysis, which allows us to optimize the entire site in near real-time. The fact that our A/B tests show Constructor's choices outperform business rule overrides gives us confidence in the system. We also find the simplified interface and the overall machine control approach with click-stream and personalized ranking to be a big improvement over our previous solution.

**What do you dislike about Constructor?**

Our fast-track implementation did not allow us to utilize the full features of the app, such as fine-tuning facet controls through the dashboard or leveraging features like their collections. Initially, the product recommendations were very poor and this did require more business rules to get it working as we wished. There are several A/B features we wish added, such as sessions, revenue, and orders and the ability to break A/B metrics down by device.

**What problems is Constructor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Constructor for search, browse, and product recommendations. It improves contextual matching and product ranking, enhances site optimization with machine-learning analysis, and outperforms business rule overrides in AB tests, ensuring confidence in its effectiveness.

 ### 7. Massive revenue lift from recommendations + continuous optimisation that empowers our team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark D. | Head of Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Constructor?**

The biggest win for us has been the commercial impact, especially through Recommendations - the revenue lift has been outstanding. We’ve also seen strong results through independent A/B testing, including improvements from recommendation engines and geo-localised ranking, and we’ve almost eliminated zero search results, which has clearly improved the customer experience.

Just as importantly, Constructor feels like a genuine partnership rather than a vendor relationship. The team is highly responsive and easy to work with, always available on Slack, and quick to pull in the right people when needed . That combination of measurable performance impact and a strong working relationship has made a real difference for us.

**What do you dislike about Constructor?**

Constructor is premium-priced, and while the ROI is clear from our results, the cost means we still have to regularly re-justify it internally

Early in the implementation, Constructor could have had a better understanding of what makes our business unique so they could give us better advice from the outset. That said, we did ultimately get the help we needed, and the team has been highly responsive throughout.

One area that could be improved is visibility into catalogue updates. It’s not always easy to see when and how products have changed, which makes it harder to validate our integration.

**What problems is Constructor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Constructor solves the challenge of product discovery at scale. It helps us deliver more relevant search, browse and recommendations without relying on manual merchandising that doesn’t scale, and it enables continuous optimisation through testing and iteration.

The impact has been clear, including improved relevance, better localisation across markets, and stronger commercial performance leading to higher RPV, AOV and conversion, with particularly strong results from recommendations.

**Official Response from Customer Success:**

> Hi Mark, thanks so much for the review and for sharing such detailed feedback.

It’s great to hear about the revenue impact you’ve seen from Recommendations and testing, and the progress on relevance, localisation, and reducing zero-result searches. We’re really glad those improvements are showing up in both performance and customer experience.

We also appreciate the honest feedback on pricing, early implementation, and catalogue visibility. Those are fair points and helpful for us as we continue to improve how we support teams, especially early on.

Thanks again for the partnership, we’re looking forward to continuing to build on these results together.

 ### 8. Boosts Ecom Performance with Seamless Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tomi O.

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Constructor?**

I really like Constructor's straightforward tech integrations and good documentation, which made it easy to implement the service into our ecommerce. It seems like a really performant machine, helping us get more relevant search results and better performance for driving conversions. The good admin tools for sales boost products and provide insights into how eCommerce is behaving. The initial setup was really easy, thanks to the help from the Constructor team and the tech side.

**What do you dislike about Constructor?**

I haven't really found anything bad yet. We do need to learn more about the personalization capabilities, and we have some questions about how the generative AI assistant will work.

**What problems is Constructor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Constructor enhances performance and relevancy in search results for better conversion, provides beneficial admin tools for sales, and offers easy tech integration with good documentation, streamlining eCommerce implementation.

 ### 9. Personalized, AI-Powered Features That Boost Our Business Strategy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rhys L. | Head of Digital Product, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Constructor?**

The personalisation and AI user-centric features we have access to help boost our business strategies, and enhance our user-experince with a search engine designed never to return a no result!

**What do you dislike about Constructor?**

Although rare, product changes sometimes don't sync to the end user as quickly as we'd like, and my team has to manually force-push the changes to Constructor.

**What problems is Constructor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Constructor is delivering a personal experience to our customers that never existed before. As a result, we have seen high conversion rates and increased AOV.

 ### 10. Reliable Platform, Flexible Ranking Levers, and a Truly Responsive Partner

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Constructor?**

Constructor has been a strong partner for us—reliable platform capabilities, flexible relevance/ranking levers, and a cadence that supports rapid experimentation and continuous optimization. Their team is responsive and pragmatic, and they engage like an extension of our org when troubleshooting, interpreting results, or planning next iterations.

**What do you dislike about Constructor?**

Constructor's enablement program, needs to go deeper on the organizational transition—specifically by fully understanding the legacy context operations teams have been working in (tools, workflows, decision rights, and success metrics) and then explicitly mapping that into new ways of working on Constructor. Without that deeper discovery and role-by-role transition plan, ops teams can be left translating concepts and rebuilding processes on the fly, which creates friction and slows time-to-value.

**What problems is Constructor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Constructor is solving the core problem of delivering a scalable, continuously improving onsite search experience—one where we can iterate quickly, incorporate meaningful signals into ranking, and operationalize relevance improvements with consistent governance. The benefit is faster learning cycles, more predictable optimization, and a stronger ability to evolve search toward a higher-quality customer outfitting experience while maintaining enterprise reliability and control.
