Constructor.io (CIO) allows us to retain full control within our team for merchandizing and operations of the site while providing an excellent baseline experience with in-session personalization. The consumption of the clickstream to train the model for Search is easy to integrate and drives powerful results. The support is responsive and partnering both during the implementation and during the day-to-day operations.

The SFCC integration via CIO-provided cartridge is actively-supported by the CIO team and allows us to both benefit from that ongoing maintenance as well as customize for our specific needs.

The API-first approach allows us to integrate the key functionality into the customer experience as we see fit and supports powerful reducing functionality to limit the transmission weight for clients. Constructor is a very user-friendly platform, even for those with no prior experience with search engine optimization. The interface is clean and intuitive, and the documentation is comprehensive Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

While Constructor offers a variety of customization options, there may be some limitations in tailoring the search and recommendation algorithms to extremely specific or unique requirements. Constructor since it has launched has allowed me to get so much time back. Rather than having to focus on what new keywords I need to watch out for from the shift of one season or holiday to the next, its learning and adjusting on its own. No more fussing around with manual search suggestions, or synonyms. I am able to focus on true conversion strategy and how to get more people to these more optimal pages. Constructor has allowed our team to gain insights into what our customers are not only searching for but how they navigate our website. As a merchandiser, the AI feature has taken much of the monotonous work out of my daily tasks. I have found it quite dependable and accurate and have noticed very high conversion rates between the AI and cognitive embedding features.

I love seeing data on the CTRs and conversion rates on different search terms and being able to focus on searchandizing and/or redirecting based on how the terms are performing.

One thing I would love as a merchandiser is for it to be easier to bury certain products on search and category pages. For example, I might have a product I don't want to blocklist but I want it to show at the very bottom of the page and between AI and attractiveness rates, burying the product doesn't always work. Sometimes I have to count how many products I have on the page and go to the slotting option so I can slot a product at the very bottom of the page. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like best about Constructor is how EASY their platform is to use. It's a night and day difference from our old search provider. With our old search provider, I felt like every time I went to create a rule, boost a product - essentially utilize their merchandising tools - nothing would work like expected. That is the OPPOSITE experience with Constructor. Their platform is practical and simple so that you can easily leverage their merchandising tools and clearly see how they perform.

Their launch and support team have also been fantastic to work with. They offer a dedicated Slack Channel so you can constantly communicate with their team. If an issue or question arises, it's extremely easy to get a hold of someone on the Constructor team and get a response within 24 hours or less.

It was also a plus that their team understood our product assortment and could offer feedback and suggestions on how to showcase our products better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I don't dislike anything about Constructor but some aspects of their Analytics could be more user-friendly. For example, if I want to export a Top Searches report, the excel file is sent to my email rather than just downloaded immediately. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Constructor was a great choice for our site. Such a huge upgrade from our existing search provider. The Constructor team was great starting from their demos, through contract signing, platform integration, and continual support. They were always readily available for any questions or concerns and did an amazing job meeting with our internal stakeholders to show how to use all the different features within the Constructor platform!
