What is Conductor, and what problem is it built to solve?

Conductor is an enterprise platform for answer engine optimization and search engine optimization. It brings together search intelligence, AI-assisted content creation, and website monitoring to help teams improve content and technical health and build visibility across AI-driven and traditional search.

What languages does Conductor support?

Conductor supports 2 languages: English and German.

What company sizes and industries is Conductor the best fit for?

Positive experiences are represented across small-business, mid-market, and enterprise teams, with reviewers especially represented in marketing and advertising, financial services, health care, retail, and software. That breadth suggests it can serve teams working across different company sizes and industries, while the strongest fit is for organizations with active search and content programs.
  • Company size: Small businesses, including teams with 50 or fewer employees.
  • Company size: Mid-market organizations with 51–1,000 employees.
  • Company size: Enterprise organizations with more than 1,000 employees.
  • Industries: Marketing and advertising, financial services, and health care.
  • Industries: Retail, software, education, and consulting.

How long does it take to implement Conductor across a team?

Conductor can be live in under a month for a straightforward rollout, though teams with broader setup and adoption needs may take longer. The most common reported go-live windows were under a month and one to three months.
Time to go live Relative frequency
Under 1 month Most common
1–3 months Also common
3–6 months Less common

What customer support options does Conductor provide, and how do users find the overall support experience?

Conductor provides chat, email/help-desk, and knowledge-base support, including 24/7 live-rep support. The support experience is often described as knowledgeable and helpful, particularly during onboarding and training, though some users have encountered slow responses or uneven follow-through on complex issues.

What is the experience like for teams switching to Conductor from another tool?

Moving to Conductor from tools such as Semrush, BrightEdge, Searchmetrics, and Moz Pro has often been about bringing more search work into one place, gaining AI-search visibility, or getting deeper reporting and monitoring. Teams describe onboarding as manageable with help from Conductor’s support staff, but the platform’s breadth can take time to learn; some also note that particular workflows or features they had before were not available in the same way.

What tools and platforms does Conductor integrate with, and how do these integrations help users get more value from the product?

Conductor offers 35 integrations, helping teams bring search and analytics information into reporting and connect insights to content and project workflows.
  • Analytics and search data: Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Adobe Analytics, and Looker Studio.
  • Project and work management: Asana and Jira.
  • AI and language-model tools: ChatGPT and Claude.

In daily use, these connections can reduce the need to gather data across separate tools, make performance easier to share, and help turn findings into work for content and technical teams.

What features or capabilities could make Conductor even more useful?

Conductor could be more useful with greater flexibility in reporting and clearer guidance through its many workflows. Commonly requested improvements include:
  • More flexible reporting: Add richer dashboard and report customization, clearer date and filter controls, and easier exports.
  • More guided workflows: Make it easier to find features, understand what to do next, and get new teammates oriented.
  • More detailed AI-search insights: Improve the granularity, clarity, and customization of AI visibility metrics and reporting.
  • Smoother integration and automation workflows: Make connections to internal tools and recurring reporting tasks easier to configure and maintain.

How useful do Conductor users find its AI features in everyday use?

Conductor’s AI tools are useful in everyday content work and for understanding how a brand appears in AI-driven search, although users still review the output and may need to refine prompts or drafts.
  • AI search insights: AI Mention Tracking, AI Search Ranking Insights, and AI Visibility Reporting.
  • Content guidance and optimization: AI-Driven Content Recommendations and Semantic Optimization for AI Models.
  • Writing assistance: AI Text Generation, Content Ideas, and Grammar Check.
Users describe using the writing tools to develop outlines and first drafts, refine existing pages, and speed up research. AI visibility tracking helps surface mentions, citations, competitors, and content opportunities, but the usefulness of generated writing and the clarity of some AI metrics can vary, so human review remains important.

"A Strong Platform for Understanding AI Search Visibility"
4/5
What do you like best about Conductor?

The biggest pain point Conductor has helped solve for us is understanding how our brand and content are performing in AI search, which is difficult to measure through traditional SEO tools.

We already have tools for tracking keywords and traditional search performance, but we needed better visibility into AI-generated answers, brand mentions, citations, prompts, competitors, and the content influencing AI responses. Conductor brings these insights together in one place and makes it easier to identify where we are visible, where we have gaps, and what content opportunities we should focus on.

This has helped us move beyond just monitoring search rankings and start having more meaningful conversations around AI visibility and AEO performance. The visual reporting is also useful for communicating these insights to stakeholders who may not be familiar with how AI search works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Conductor?

The Keywords Manager could be more intuitive not just tracking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Conductor Makes SEO + AEO Tracking Easy with Powerful Workspaces and Great Onboarding Support"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Conductor?

I love that I can do traditional SEO and gather AI visibility to increase our AEO efforts. I find the workspaces SO cool - I've created dashboards for each product marketing team (6 of them!). It was easy to duplicate and just adjust the topics, pages, and keywords so that each team has a clear line of sight into how they're performing in both SEO + AEO in one place. The consultant I work with at Conductor as a part of my onboarding has just been so fantastic, too. Anytime I thought I was stuck, he quickly showed me an easy path to get what I needed, even when I wasn't certain the product could do it - I found that it could. I'm especially excited to get the MCP integration to round out my experience. :) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Conductor?

Most of my trouble has been internally being able to approve the MCP so that I can access AI powered data. But it's been mostly fine because I've learned how to navigate the tool really well. The only thing I can say that could really be improved is the ability to edit topics after creating them. I was a newbie AEO tool user in the start, and there wasn't a way to clean up the mess I had made with naming conventions and organizations. But there are prompt groupings as a workaround. "Intuitive UI, Unique AEO Insights, and Unmatched Conductor Support"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Conductor?

The UI is incredibly intuitive. The interface allowing us to easily add anything to a workspace saves us hours from having to manually set up tracking. The AEO coverage and insights provided are invaluable and unique to Conductor, allowing us to see AI data points we otherwise wouldn't be privy to. The support from Conductor has been unmatched, providing in-depth onboarding that allowed us to become familiar and comfortable with the system and ongoing support via chat features that gives us solutions in minutes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Conductor?

I find myself occasionally questioning the accuracy of figures it shows us, as with any tool like this. We'll often see us ranking number one for very broad keywords that I'm not confident are correct or owning a large chunk of market share compared to our larger competitors which have us questioning. Sometimes the Date setting feature gets confusing on different sections; I like having the option of comparing week over week or month over month, but sometimes I want to just isolate performance for a specific time without comparing and we don't have that option. "Content Writer Assistant Boosted Our SEO Rankings and Cut Creation Time by 50%"
5/5
What do you like best about Conductor?

I like the content writer assistant the most, it has helped our blogs rank on search engines and reduced the time for the whole content creation process by around 50%. By allowing us to draw in aspects from actual competitors' blogs ranking in serp, it helps us make sure our blogs are not only helping clients but also targeting competition on the serp too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Conductor?

I fully understand the cost related to pulling in AI search results, but limiting them behind a paywall (credits) is blocking our visibility and month-to-month tracking of what our clients/competitors are saying. Maybe integrating the Google Search Console would help with lowering the need for credits. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-friendly SEO solution with excellent support"
5/5
What do you like best about Conductor?

I find Conductor incredibly user-friendly, even for people who are not so familiar with these kinds of platforms. Its intuitiveness makes it easy to work with. The Conductor Academy offers a lot of educational content about SEO and AEO, which is very important. Their helpdesk is also a great feature, available 24/5 via chat, with excellent responses. Additionally, I appreciate the personal contact person who regularly thinks with us about how we can best use Conductor. The possibility that they can provide training in our company is a great added value. The Chrome extension is also fantastic, as it makes it easy to get page insights and see improvements while working on it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Outstanding 24/7 Monitoring with easy UI, integration, and instant chat support"
4/5
What do you like best about Conductor?

The best feature, in my opinion, is the 24/7 website monitoring, as it allows you to spot issues in real time, receive alerts on the go, and customise the data through segments and custom extractions. The interface is really easy to use, it integrates with GA4 and GSC, and the chat support is also great.

The new Pages report is also great as it helps you measure the organic search traffic to your pages using data from your web analytics and it's all in one complete view. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Conductor?

Like many other SEO tools, the pricing model for tracking keywords - and now prompts - can make it a bit tricky for larger organizations to decide which keywords or prompts to track, since each plan comes with a limit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Multi-Audience Reporting with Clear, Concrete Metrics"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Conductor?

What I like most about Conductor is that it lets me address different audiences without any extra effort. It enables me to translate the same data into two distinct languages. As a project manager, this is extremely useful because it saves me from having to craft the same narrative twice. I also appreciate the straightforward, concrete way it measures something that, until recently, felt intangible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Conductor?

Visibility into AI-generated responses needs to be more detailed and transparent. While I can currently see that we appear in a response, it’s still difficult to tell exactly which content, change, or specific action caused the AI to cite us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Absolutely incredible keyword tracking for large scale publishing"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Conductor?

I use Conductor to track our website visibility in organic search across our global websites, and the daily keyword ranking changes help inform our editorial calendar and content optimization cycles. It quickly finds competing pages when keywords overlap, and the page mapping features give us visibility into search intent gaps and help us find extremely niche long-tail queries. I also like that organic traffic data feeds directly into Looker Studio for executive visualization, and that triggers send content creation tasks to Asana. Setup was quite easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Conductor?

I find Conductor extremely sluggish in the morning, and the application interface constantly crashes when I create bulk reports. The API documentation is very outdated and doesn't describe important endpoints. I need bulk tags for campaign tracking, since managing thousands of keywords one by one is a nightmare. The custom dashboard builder isn't intuitive and doesn't respond to layout changes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Search and AI Visibility Suite, Though MCP Still Has Gaps"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Conductor?

I find Conductor’s user experience really intuitive. I like how it brings different tools together, including Conductor Website Monitoring (CWM), into one powerful suite. It also gives me a window into LLM and answer engine visibility that would otherwise be a black box, with data on how we’re showing up that we wouldn’t otherwise have. I think they’ve done a good job staying ahead of this new area. I also like that we’re alerted almost instantly when something goes wrong on our site. The setup was pretty easy, and their team did a good job helping us with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Conductor?

I’d like to see more capabilities in Conductor’s MCP integration. Website monitoring and some other capabilities aren’t available through MCP yet, though I think some of that is on the roadmap. As a publisher, I’d find more real-time information useful, along with more insight into LLM visibility and crawl behavior from LLMs and third-party scrapers, which I currently get from other vendors. There’s a learning curve, and getting strong insights takes a fair amount of setup, especially around topic and keyword development. The team helped with much of that, so it wasn’t a huge lift for us, but I wish I could spend more time on building it out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful enterprise search platform"
4/5
What do you like best about Conductor?

I like that Conductor reveals indexing anomalies immediately and safeguards our quarterly organic revenue estimates. Its semantic content mapping tool automatically categorizes huge keyword clusters, and those keyword variations are seamlessly incorporated into our technical writers’ buying guides. I can build custom executive dashboards without coding skills. The live technical audits identify important markup errors before printing. I can immediately feed top-priority technical search fixes into Jira, and our data analysts overlay ranking metrics on Adobe Analytics conversion data every day. Setup was easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Conductor?

Active user sessions often get dropped during large data exports. I also have to wait days for support representatives to answer simple technical configuration questions. Granular Workspace Permissions for outside freelance copywriters are still very frustrating, and the interface is extremely slow when loading historical ranking trends for high-volume terms.
