I found Codekeeper to be one of the more straightforward solutions at the beginning. It is a modestly easy-to-use third-party code escrow agent. For an early-stage company working with large, established companies, it provides confidence that the large company won't be left without access to the software if something happens to the business. It's a good, necessary service for such dynamics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The entire cancellation process with Codekeeper is completely predatory and unethical. The extended period required to provide notice for cancellation leads to continued billing, which isn't clear when you sign up. There's a lack of responsiveness and accountability to inquiries, stretching payments six months past what they should have been after the first request. The initial setup was painful, and the ending policies are deceptive. Overall, the code escrow's conclusion was overshadowed by these predatory practices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
