## About ClassicPress
ClassicPress is a community-led open-source content management system for creators. It is a fork of WordPress that preserves the TinyMCE editor as the default option. It is lightweight and blazing fast thanks to a leaner codebase since the block editor (Gutenberg) and FSE were removed. Without React, ClassicPress is accessible and easy to navigate. ClassicPress is maintained by ClassicPress Initiative, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization funded by the community.

**What do you like best about ClassicPress?**

ClassicPress gives us back the original WordPress editor we know and love. It gets rid of the bloat of blocks we don't want to use anyway. Works great and has been solid.

**What do you dislike about ClassicPress?**

The drawback for early non-techie users was the challenge of finding ClassicPress specific themes and plugins. That has gotten better. Some plugins you are using may not work with it.

**What problems is ClassicPress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It took away my concern that eventually, Automattic (parent company of WordPress) would remove the Classic Editor plugin and force us to use Gutenberg blocks. Because I never want to do that, I switched to ClassicPress. It is faster with cleaner code and works just like the original WordPress only better.
