"Tight Meraki Dashboard Integration for Centralized, Scalable Management"
5/5
What do you like best about Cisco Physical Security Solution?

My favorite part is its tight integration with the Meraki dashboard. It brings network and camera management together in one place, providing centralized control and making it easy to scale as needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cisco Physical Security Solution?

The biggest drawback is that, as of January 2026, the entire Cisco Physical Security product line has been discontinued and is no longer supported. Beyond that, I’m also concerned about the high licensing costs, the reliance on cloud connectivity that limits offline use, and configurations that can feel complex or inflexible. "Solid Security Platform, But Workflows and UI Could Be More Intuitive"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Cisco Physical Security Solution?

I like that Cisco Physical Security Solution provides a reliable and comprehensive platform for managing physical security. It integrates well with other systems, offers good visibility, and has the core features needed for day-to-day operations. Overall, it's a solid solution, but there are still areas where usability, performance, and feature enhancements could make the experience even better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cisco Physical Security Solution?

The main drawbacks are that some workflows feel more complex than they need to be, and the user interface could be more intuitive

One downside is that the solution can be expensive, especially when considering licensing and scaling costs. The user interface could also be more intuitive, and some workflows feel more complex than necessary. At times, performance can be slower than expected, and certain features require too many steps to complete common tasks. Better usability, more competitive pricing, and streamlined workflows would improve the overall experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All-in-One Meraki Dashboard with Fast Playback, Reliable Hardware, and Open Standards"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Cisco Physical Security Solution?

One dashboard for everything – manage cameras, access control, and sensors from a single Meraki pane, slashing investigation time with 32× fast playback and cross‑camera tracking.

Huge cost savings – uses your existing IP network, so no dedicated cabling; one university cut costs by 80% vs. competitors and saves $50k/year on re‑keying.

Built‑like‑a‑tank reliability – AES encryption, Cisco‑grade hardware, and AI‑powered edge analytics give you actionable insights (heat maps, people counting) without sacrificing uptime.

No vendor lock‑in – open standards let you mix camera brands, migrate analogue gear gradually, and scale from one building to an entire city. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cisco Physical Security Solution?

High cost and restrictive licensing – expensive upfront, and some systems become unusable if licenses lapse; unexpected camera limits per organisation.

End‑of‑life shock – as of January 2026, Cisco discontinued its Connected Safety & Security and Physical Security product lines, so no more support or updates.

Complex setup – adding cameras and troubleshooting via the Meraki dashboard is often confusing and unintuitive.

Hardware and feature limitations – limited PTZ range, no remote lens adjustment, and unreliable audio performance.

Heavy cloud dependency – functions poorly offline; local access suffers from noticeable lag and occasional video‑wall blackouts.

Software quality and security concerns – some users criticise buggy firmware, and past products had hard‑coded passwords (a basic security flaw).

Weak post‑sales support – after initial contact, follow‑up help is hard to get. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless, All-in-One Physical Security Ecosystem with a True Single Pane of Glass"
4/5
What do you like best about Cisco Physical Security Solution?

What I like most about Cisco's Physical Security Solution is how cohesively everything fits into a single ecosystem, rather than feeling like a collection of separate tools bolted together. The integration across video surveillance, access control, and the underlying network infrastructure feels seamless, which makes day-to-day monitoring and incident response much easier to handle from one central, single pane of glass. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cisco Physical Security Solution?

Honestly, the cost is probably my biggest gripe. Once you factor in licensing, hardware, and the ongoing subscription fees for cloud management, it adds up fast—especially for smaller organizations or when you’re trying to scale across multiple sites. At times, it feels like you’re constantly paying just to unlock things that really should be included in the first place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Limited Local Video Retention Holds Back an Otherwise Feature-Rich Security Platform"
2/5
What do you like best about Cisco Physical Security Solution?

It is easier to deploy and I like the Centralized multi-site management. Features such as person and vehicle detection, attribute search, licence-plate recognition, Rapid Review and cross-camera tracking help security personnel locate relevant footage without manually reviewing hours of video. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cisco Physical Security Solution?

This is not really helpful especially it has Limited and variable local video retention. The announced end of life of the Meraki MT sensor portfolio is really sad. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Security with Easy Setup, Occasional Subscription Hassles"
4/5
What do you like best about Cisco Physical Security Solution?

I use Cisco Physical Security Solution to replace legacy CCTV with intelligent IP cameras like Meraki, which helps with storage management problems by reducing the valuable rack space needed and eliminating the centralized recorder through edge storage. One feature I really like is being able to draw a bounding box over a specific area in the frame to instantly identify the exact seconds a specific event occurs, like when a door is breached. This feature is particularly useful when trying to pinpoint when something went missing, without having to scrub through days of footage. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cisco Physical Security Solution?

Every single camera and sensor requires an active individual subscription. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to Use and Scalable, but Integration Can Be Challenging"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Cisco Physical Security Solution?

Ease of use. It’s pretty simple and doesn’t require special skills. Also it’s easy to add additional devices and it’s not time consuming. Platform is scalable Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cisco Physical Security Solution?

Integration with some systems can be challenging. The documentation doesn’t always help when it comes to implementation, which makes setup harder than it should be. It also doesn’t work very well with Cisco equipment. On top of that, it’s costly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
