Who is Cisco Physical Security Solution pricing best suited for?

According to G2 reviewers, Cisco Physical Security Solution's pricing is best suited for mid-market and enterprise organizations, particularly those already invested in Cisco networking infrastructure. G2 reviews from mid-market segments in insurance, manufacturing, aviation, and information services highlight strong ROI from centralized multi-site management. Enterprise reviewers in government administration and higher education emphasize compliance, user permission controls, and scalability as justifying the premium cost. G2 reviewers from small businesses can derive value, especially in IT-heavy environments, but frequently cite licensing and scaling costs as barriers. Organizations without existing Cisco infrastructure or with tight budgets are likely to find Cisco Physical Security Solution's pricing structure difficult to absorb.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of Cisco Physical Security Solution?

Cisco Physical Security Solution pricing on G2 shows no permanent free tier. A free trial is available for evaluation purposes, allowing prospective buyers to assess the centralized dashboard, camera management, and access control capabilities before committing. Cisco Physical Security Solution's paid plans operate on custom enterprise quotes with per-device subscription licensing. G2 reviewers consistently flag that cameras can become non-functional if subscriptions lapse, and that licensing costs compound significantly at scale. The paid plans unlock AI analytics, cross-camera tracking, cloud management, Cisco ISE and Active Directory integration, and full multi-site surveillance capabilities that define the solution's core value proposition.

Is Cisco Physical Security Solution considered good value for its pricing?

G2 reviewers broadly rate Cisco Physical Security Solution highly, averaging near 4.5/5, yet cost concerns appear consistently across segments. Reviewers repeatedly flag expensive upfront hardware, per-device subscription licensing, and scaling costs as significant drawbacks. However, most high-rating reviewers frame it as a justified premium: one G2 reviewer noted it delivers unmatched uptime and cybersecurity rigor, while another confirmed it passes all compliance audits. A manufacturing reviewer stated plainly that you get what you pay for. Small businesses and cost-sensitive organizations find pricing harder to absorb, but mid-market and enterprise users managing multi-site deployments generally conclude that centralized management, AI analytics, and Cisco ecosystem integration deliver strong long-term return on investment.

"Managing 100+ cameras feels more controlled with Cisco"

What do you like best about Cisco Physical Security Solution?

As an IT Network Administrator managing the security environment for around 450 employees Cisco Physical Security Solution has been a solid platform for our daily operations. We regularly use the centralized video management console, ai motion analytics, smart event search, role based access control and camera health monitoring. Recently an after hours access alert was flagged by the ai and we located the exact footage from over 120 cameras in under 2 minutes without reviewing hours of recordings. The platform integrates seamlessly with Cisco Catalyst, Cisco ISE, and Active Directory making authentication and policy management consistent across our environment. Video playback remains reliable during busy hours and firmware updates have been smooth. The onboarding guides were detailed, Cisco support has been knowledgeable whenever we needed configuration assistance and the ongoing ai improvements continue to strengthen the platform while it is a premium Solution, the reliability, security and enterprise grade capabilities fully justify the investment for our organization. What do you dislike about Cisco Physical Security Solution?

In our organization we manage physical security for around 500 employee using Cisco Physical Security Solution and i have very few complaints. One area i'd like to see improved is more customizable ai alert rules for different security scenarios without extra configuration. We manage 100+ cameras integrated with Cisco ISE and Active Directory and the platform has remained stable throughout. Cisco support has been knowledgeable whenever deployment guidance was needed, so this is more of a feature request than a real drawback. Overall my experience has been excellent.
