What matters is whether certificates, self-assessments and approvals can be found, and whether it is clear who followed up and when. In many mid-sized companies that material sits in inboxes, personal folders and several versions of a spreadsheet. The search often starts only when the appointment is already booked. Catenis puts that work in one place. Purchasing, quality and compliance see, for each supplier, which evidence is on file, which deadlines are running and where something is still missing. The team works from the same view, not from three different lists. That shortens preparation for audits and customer questionnaires, because the file does not have to be assembled first. Suppliers are invited and submit answers and files themselves, instead of sending attachments by email. Reminders are tied to due evidence, not to one person’s memory. Questionnaires run with an internal approval: who reviews, who signs off, what counts as done. Every relevant action stays in the audit trail. For the next request from a customer or a certification body, an evidence pack can be produced as a PDF or a time-limited link. The same system holds the documentation that sits beside a quality audit: supply-chain evidence under the German Supply Chain Act (LkSG), packaging records under the PPWR, supplier questions under NIS-2.
