Cassandra is running pretty smoothly over on Ubuntu 20, it is running world class retail applications. Ubuntu unattended upgrades has caused the problems in past twice, which changed the dhclient, which ultimately removed the dhcp config from the clients and caused the very big outage. Quick schema evolution is one of the best thing in Cassandra. Learning curve is not that huge.
